"Sanju" Arjun was still sitting opposite to me while I was still in denial.

"I..I want some time alone" I whispered.

Arjun nodded slowly and got up.

"When you are ready to hear me out, Just come to me" He said and walked out of there.

The door closed after him and I tried to digest the words he just told me.

He knows everything!

He even knows about shweta!

He knows that Aditi and Aditya are true heirs of Dhyani hospital groups.

He knows karthik is a STO!

Why??

Why didn't he do anything about it?

And...He..He loves me?..

I looked around the huge room.

Where am I?

This room looks more like a VIP suite room than a bedroom.

I turned around when I heard the sound from the door.

"Anjali?" I was surprised to see her.

"Hi" She waved at me, Smiling, Then she looked at me from head to foot.

I was suddenly aware of my state of dress and pressed Arjun's shirt close to me.

"I..um..really sorry about..er..drugging you" She said and my eyes widened.

"You knew!?" I asked.

"Mm..Arjun said that you are in danger, We had no way but..help him" She said.

I got angry instantly, But I couldn't afford to get angry with the only person I am comfortable with now.

"I am really sorry sanjana" She said again.

"That's okay" I said. "Arjun made you do that" I added.

Anjali raised her eyebrows.

"He didn't tell you anything?" She asked me and I didn't answer.

I can't trust him anymore, That's why I didn't give him a chance to explain.

Anjali's eyes lingered on my forehead and I remembered that the sindoor was still there.

"I..I will freshen up and come" I said.

"sanjana, I am here to invite you to my place" She said.

"You live here?" I asked her in surprize.

She laughed.

"This is our home" She said. "We all live in dreamland, How did you think we know each other?" She said.

"Then shyam.." I asked.

She nodded.

"He lives next door to me" She smiled. "Dreamland is a township, We are like a big family here, The families living here have been living here for a long time, Outsiders cannot normally come here" She said.

Whoa!

That's why Arjun said that Shyam and Anjali were childhood sweethearts. But then, That means Arjun grew up here?

"I thought you guys were in college together with Arjun" I asked.

She nodded.

"While Arjun was doing his MBA, We were in college together" She said. "But we knew each other even before that"

The more I know about him,The more I feel like a stranger.

Besides, I have heard about dreamland too, It's the city under palace group, karthik had told me that It's more like a Kingdom where most of the people related to palace group is staying.

They have strong political stand and Nobody dares to mess with them.

So I had thought of them as a different version of surya group.

Arjun took me here, That means...

I am scared to know more now.

It can wait, First things first, I need to find a way to get out of this sticky situation.

"Anjali, I need...um..some cloths, I want to come with you, I can't stay here with..him" I said.

"I already got you some cloths" She said and I noticed the bag in her hand. "Arjun asked me to" She added before I could even ask her.

I didn't say anything and took the paper bag.

"I will change then, Thank you so much, Anjali" I tried to smile.

"Er..you don't know how strange it is to see a girl wrapped in Arjun's cloth" She said. "Really..I never thought he will bring home someone.." She added.

Bring home?

I didn't answer and walked inside the dressing room.

I raised up the peacock-blue dress.

I prefer the baggy cloths or my executive suits, But I know I can't complain now.

I freshened up and came out.

Anjali was still waiting for me in the settee and a strange thought crossed me.

Did Arjun sent her to spy on me?

I shook away the thought and tried to be pleasant.

"Wow!" Anjali walked to me as she looked at me. "It looks nice on you" She said walking around me.

"Um..I feel the dress is rather tight in the bust area" I said and she laughed.

"It's rightfully filled in" She winked. "trust me, It's better on you than me" She said.

Even though it doesn't give me the comfort like my baggy clothes back at home, I too felt that it was not that bad.

"Now that you are ready, let's go" She said.

"Is your home nearby?" I asked.

"10 minutes only" she smiled and dragged me outside.

I was awed at the furnishing of the house, Everything screamed of sophistication and wealth, Even the paintings along the spiral stairs down looked original.

"Oh..I came here with shyam" she said. "Come on,They are in the gym" She said and dragged me there.

The room was only half closed, so we could hear shyam's voice even before we reached there, but it sounded like he's talking to himself.

I followed Anjali inside and waited near.

Arjun was on the treadmill and He slowed it down as we came inside, Shyam on the other hand kept talking to Arjun while he was trying to lift the weight unknowingly.

I could feel Arjun's gaze on me, But I refused to look at him.

Arjun.

She looked fresh and the dress look nice on her.

It was a refreshing sight for me.

I'm relieved that she has recovered now, But along with her confidence, I could feel the barrier between us too.

"You are here!" Shyam turned to them.

"Arjun, I am taking her with me" She said.

Instantly I saw the annoyance flashing through her, Looks like she didn't like the fact that Anjaly is asking me about her.

"Not today, Anjali" I said slowly. "She disappeared from ice factory yesterday and I can't let anything go wrong" I said.

I can't let her try and escape again, I cant let the outside world know that she's here too.

"It's ok, We will be back soon" Anjali said. "Besides, Dreamland is the safest place on the earth for her" Anjali said.

"I think Arjun is right" Shyam spoke up. "I am not worried about her safety in Dreamland, But I am really worried about our people here, They will be too much interested in Sanjana if they come to know that she's staying here" He said.

"I won't go out then" Sanju said quickly, Apparantly remembering the people at party yesterday.

"Um..That's right, Shyam, If they come to know that our pre-" She started.

"Anjali.." Shyam cut across her. "Don't scare her away"

"Can I have a word with you, Sanju?" I asked her and Before she could answer Shyam and Anjali walked outside, closing the door behind.

She looked up at me for the first time.

"I can't stay here, I need to go to the company" I told her. "I will be back at night only-"

"Why are you telling me this?" she looked up at me.

I stepped down the machine and walked to her.

"Be safe, I don't want you to get into anymore trouble" I said sincerely. "You can ask Anjali anything you want, Or you can message me too-"

"I don't want anything from you" She said.

I nodded.

"I know" I said. "but unfortunately You are my girl now" I said and she looked at me in anger again. "So the danger you are in is much more than you imagine" I said.

She started to remove my ring and I held her hand.

"No" I said. "That ring signify that you are mine, You can stay here only if you can wear that"

"I don't want to stay here, I will go back-"

"This is my home, Sanju, The people here supports me, Even if you try to escape, You can't" I said. "I just want you to be safe here"

"You-" She stopped as I corrected her ring back to place and took her hand in mine.

"You are already married to me, So I think you should take full advantages of it"

"You call it a marriage?" She looked at me, now angry. "I don't accept it, Arjun" She added. "A real marriage is not like this-"

"I don't care about the procedures" I said. "All I care is that You are my wife and it will stay that way"

"Don't talk rubbish, Arjun! We are in this together, You can't decide for the both of us-" She stopped and moved back as I took a step near her.

"Why not, Sanjana?" I looked at her. "You decided the beginning of our love story" I stated. "So I can decide the rest of it" I said and looked down.

"You look beautiful in this dress" I added.

She stared at me.

"You are crazy!" She exclaimed and I bend down and pecked her nose.

"You got that right" I told a shocked Sanjana. "So don't do anything to make me more crazy, I don't know what I will do if something like yesterday happened again"

As soon as she stormed out of there, Shyam came inside.

"What did you do!?" He asked.

"Should I tell you what I did to my wife?" I shrugged and he gaped at me.

"Look, You are taking it too far, I understand it's your first time...um..loving someone, But you need to take it slow" He said.

"I can't, Shyam" I said. "I don't want to go through what I went through yesterday, It opened my eyes" I said. "She's already a part of me, She need to get it straight sooner" I said.

"I think you are going to scare her off, She looked tensed already"

I nodded.

The only people who can help her calm down is her friends, I need to get them here, But I have a lot of works to finish before that.

"I am leaving now, Shyam, we will have a conference with our directors soon"

His eyes widened.

"Have you decided to..?"

"With sanjana and her gang, I dont think our plan is going to work smoothly"

"Are you going to bring them here?" He asked me.

"I need to, But before that, Karan is in their custody and today is the day we were supposed to set the trap for suresh kumar too"

Shyam looked shocked now.

"Be careful, Arjun, I don't like how complicated everything is getting"

"I survived all these years, Shaym, A few days more is okay" I assured him. "But I need a favour from you and Anjali" I said.

Shyam looked at me.

"Tell her..everything" I said. "She's very angry with me and Not ready to listen to me"

"You drugged her and kidnapped her, Of course she will be angry" Shyam said and I nodded.

"Just..tell her the truth, If I dont get back to the company, I worry that something will happen, I can't disappear from there at such a crucial time, I don't want them to be suspicious of me" I said.

ACP Suresh kumar.

"Nitin?" I asked.

"I am Trishna's Cameraman, We have met a few times" He said.

Oh..now I understand, He's Trishna's most trusted employee at truth magazine.

But along with the realisation, I was instantly Alert.

"Did something happen to-"

"No, She's okay" He said. "But The interview today cannot be proceeded" He said. "Trisha called me, She cannot contact you directly, She thinks that it's a trap" He said.

"What do you mean?" I asked. I was counting on this to get them, But It looks like trishana has come across some kind of trouble.

"Are you sure that you heard from reporter Trishana directly?" I asked back. "Is she in trouble again?"

"She said the meeting is supposed to be a trap and that she cannot attend today, She told you to stay away too" He said. "She said she will meet you directly and talk to you about this" He added.

"Okay, Nitin, tell her to contact me As soon as possible" I said while disconnecting the call.

Trishana thinks that it's a trap?

But nobody knows about the plan..Nobody's supposed to know about the plan, Even the DIB doesn't know anything..

If it's a trap, That means there's a rat inside my department, Reporting everything back to others..

Well...then I can just turn the tables to trick them.

Arjun.

"It's them again?" Raghav sir asked. "Her gang helped her to escape from ice factory!?"

"We were going to trap them today, Why did you arrest her yesterday?" I asked. "If you were going according to the plan, This would not have happened" I said.

"Yes! We were going to get all of them today while they meet the DIB!" Pramod agreed.

"It's not like I went after her!" SI Thomas said. "She just came to me, I didn't know what else to do than take her here" He said. "Narayan sir was aware of the plan!" He looked at father for help.

"You already Arrested her and I couldn't let her go" Father said. "It would have been a mess if that happened, so there was nothing else I could do" He said.

"Don't you get it?" Abiram said slowly. "It was their plan!" He said. "They set a trap and you just fell for that!" Abiram looked around.

"She wanted you to arrest her, That's why she so "conveniently" reached in your hand yesterday" He said firmly. "You all know how clever she is, Trishana planned all of this! Don't be too naive to think that it was a coincidence!"

He said and I thanked God for making him say the exact words I wanted to make them say.

"Thank makes sense" I supported. "That's why she was all alone and helpless, She actually wanted you to arrest her" I said.

"But she escaped after that, What does it mean?" Raghav sir asked.

"They must have done or gotten what they wanted" I said, Referring to her gang.

"What if they have the  footage of you kidnapping her? They always tried to obtain things like that" Abiram said.

"What!?" Thomas practically shouted. "You think they recorded me dragging her to the police jeep?" He asked. "But I have just joined back in duty!"

"It would be bad if they also have the recording of you abandoning her in the factory" Raghav sir said.

"If you abandoned her in the ice factory, Why didn't you take watch? You should have at least sent your men to wait and watch, This is the most basic things you were supposed to do" I said.

"I..I was afraid of..getting involved when her body was found" He stuttered and I tried to keep a straight face while All I wanted was to beat the daylights out of him.

"You have to help me, ACP suresh kumar even registered a complaint against me last time for misusing my power and Authority during the Skyline incident when Varsha was exchanged to the private goons! If this get exposed, I could never work for any government positions!"

It's the people like him Who's soiling the systems. A corrupt officer like him will destroy innocents and hide the mistakes of higher ups.

"If it get exposed, you might get 10 years for attempted murder, And if the prosecution prove that It's a repeated offence, You will get more than that-"

"You can't abandon me!" Thomas said. "All I have done was trying to help you" He said.

Father's eyes narrowed now.

"I have warned you for Acting on your own, Thomas, This is not your first time you were Acting without orders" He said.

"There was no need to take her to custody when we were already planning to trap them!"

"I..I don't mean anything..I just want you to help me get out of this!"

"We will see what's the best option we have" Father said. "You can go now" he added. "See if Suresh and that girl is going to continue that meeting or not" He said.

Even though he Clearly understand that he's dismissed from the conference room now, Thomas didn't move first.

"Thomas" Father looked at him.

He nodded his head.

"I will follow ACP Suresh" He said.

He walked out of the room.

Father turned to me.

"Arjun-"

"Surya law firm won't represent him" I said sternly. "We are just recovering after mahesh's arrest, If we defend such a corrupt officer now, We will get entangled in the scandal again" I said.

"I know, we can't take any risk" Father said. "But he's been working for us for a long time, We can't abandon him, He knows a lot about us" He said.

"He's dangerous to keep around" Pramod said and everyone turned to him. "He knows too much of our secrets" He said.

"I too think so" Raghav sir said. "It's dangerous to leave him like this"

"Let's get rid of him" Abiram said what everyone has been hinting. "Leave him to me, I will take care of him" He said.

"Then I will not worry about this anymore" Father said, Then turned to me.

"Did you find anything new on that gang?" He asked me.

I nodded.

"I send karan to do some works for me, Give me two more days, I need to confirm my theory" I said.

This way, I don't have to explain why karan is suddenly missing.

Father nodded.

"Arjun, The board of directors wants to nominate you as the temporary head of hotel groups, What do you think?" He asked. "Mahesh is no longer there and We can't afford something to go wrong"

I could feel Abiram's fiery gaze on me.

"Let me think about this" I said. "Give me some time"

Father nodded.

"Decide before the next board meeting" He said and I nodded.

Abiram.

I walked to my office when the meeting was over.

Father is starting to favour Arjun now.

When mahesh was still there, Father didn't want to pass him any power, But now he is starting to give him important tasks.

I had thought that he would favour me when mahesh is out of picture, But it seems like I have another rival now.

And Arjun, I don't trust him.

He's too perfect, That's his flaw.

Mahesh and I had had many issues in the past, We had even ended up in physical assault before, But Arjun is calm and collected.

He don't even have a group of people around him, He only have a PA who do everything for him, They mostly uses father's men when they were needed, But mostly, They work alone.

But I can't let my guard down, Even though mahesh messed up first, I feel Arjun have a share in that, Now Thomas too..He said his law firm won't represent Thomas.

"Sir" Sanjay came inside.  "Did you call me?" he asked.

I sighed.

"We have someone to take care of" I said.

"Who's it?"

"SI Thomas mathew, Father asked me to get rid of him" I said. "But we need to use him first" I said.

"What?"

"He's the main spy we have in police station, If he's out of the picture, We will be in trouble" I said. "With suresh in there"

"What do you plan to do sir?"

"I was going to kill priyanka today when officer suresh and trishana was going to be killed" I said. "But with everything that's going on, I can't wait any longer, if priyanka speak to suresh about her accident and Shahid's daughter's kidnap, It will be only a matter of time before he come for me" I said.

ACP suresh kumar is someone who's been working to trap us, If he get evidence, I Am sure that he won't let go, He will come after me.

If he come after me, Father won't spare me too, Just like He had done to mahesh, He won't think twice about locking me up to have the company and I can't allow it

I looked around the group of people who came to visit me.

"We heard that you reached yesterday with the president, It was so late and unplanned, We couldn't welcome you then" The lady said.

President!?

I looked around in shock.

A lot of people were there to see me and I wanted nothing more than to hide.

I nodded automatically, Trying not to be rude.

"Mm...She is not well, Sir wanted me to take care of her" Anjali looked at them. "I will take her to rest now" She said and they all nodded respectfully.

I was grateful as Anjali dragged me inside.

"Anjali, What did they just say? They just referred to Arjun as the president" I said.

"Sanjana-"

"Hey Anju, Wait" Someone shouted and both of us turned around.

"Jishad, What's it?" Anjali asked the guy.

He turned to me. "So it's true!" The young guy said. "Brother Arjun did bring a girl home!" He added. "it's nice to meet you sanjana" He offered me his hands and said, I was taken aback at that.

How come he knows my name?..

"He's Shyam's cousin" Anjali said.

"I thought it was a rumour at first" Jishad said as he shook my hands. "And it is right that you are wearing his ring!" He added and I pulled my hand back.

"Keep it quiet, Jishad, Arjun said-"

"Are you serious?"Jishad looked at her. "The rumour has already spread that the new president is not an old man and also that he's back home with his wife" He said. "Everyone is so curious to see them" He said and I paled.

The new president!?

As in the president of palace group?

No! That cannot be true! That's impossible!

"That..That's bad news! No one can know his identity!" Anjali said. "But he was so reckless this time" She muttered to herself.

"Can I take a picture?" The guy asked me sheepishly.

"Sure, You can ask Arjun first" Anjali said and his face fell.

"Brother Arjun don't like pictures" He said and Anjali smiled.

"Let me warn you, He's super possessive about-"

"Anjaly" I said. "I am not..feeling well, I will take some rest, Please take care of everyone" I said and walked inside before Anyone else turn up to see me.

I am confused and shocked now.

The Arjun they all respect seems to be someone entirely different.

According the people, He 's kind and helpful, He's adored by everyone here and they all respect him.

But the picture I have of him was totally different and I am shaken.

And what's this about Arjun being the president?

President of what?

He's a narayan, So that's not possibl-

But I vaguely remember the CEO of palace group addressing him as president at the party.

So it wasn't a dream?

"Trisha, Are you okay?" Anjali reached me "you look pale" She said.

"I was just thinking" I said. "I feel like I don't know Arjun at all, He's a complete stranger to me"

"You misunderstand him, Sanju, Come on, Let me take you somewhere" She said.

I was confused for a moment, then followed her.

Anjali brought me to the east side of the mansion.

"Before Arjun went back today, He left us a task" She said and I looked at her, Confused. "He said to take you here"

Anjali opened the heavily furnished wooden door and I found myself standing in a library like room.

I walked inside slowly, The room was well maintained, The walls have a lot of family portraits.

My eyes stilled on the picture fixed on the wall and I walked near slowly.

A mom, A dad, A boy around 9 or 10 years, A girl about 7 years old.

A happy family picture.

But a shiver went down me as I watched the boy.

Arjun?

I watched his eyes and the friendly smile.

It's Arjun!

But then the others..

"Is this Arjun?" I whispered.

"That is Rajnath family" Anjali said. "The owners of Dream land" She added. "They are highly respected by all the people here" She said.

Rajnath family!?

My eyes widened as I turned around to look at her.

"Rajnath family?..palace group?" I asked her.

"The same" She nodded.

Whoa!

All the rumours surrounding palace group started after their chairman and family was killed in an accident.

I turned back to the picture, They are One of the ancient families in India who are highly respected, They have marked their existance in the history as well.

"They are the real owners of Dreamland" She said.

"What!?.This whole land is owned by someone?" I asked and she nodded.

"That's Mr and Mrs.Rajnath" She said and I looked at the picture. "And their kids, Sidharth and Renuka Rajnath"

I was shocked once again at the name of the man.

"He..He is the Ex Chairman of palace group?" I asked again, "The one who was investigated by the central beuro?" I asked.

The last one in Rajnath bloodline?

Anjali nodded.

"That's him" She said.

My mind started to work.

"But..They died in a car Accident, The fight between surya group and palace group started after that" I said slowly.

I have seen a lot of pictures of the ex-Chairman, But somehow, The painting showed a different version of him.

May be because of the family picture.

But what bothered me most was the bloody fight that happened in the company after his death, I know that surya group came into existence after it.

"The company was evading tax and was under investigation" I said automatically.

My father had handed me all the information on surya group and this was just one of them.

Wait a minute!

Rajnath family!?

Is that what was written in my dad's journal!?

It was not actually Nath family! It was Rajnath family!

Then my father investigated about palace group too?

How come he didn't tell me anything about it?

Why did he destroy the details on Rajnath family!?

Why did my father decide to follow surya group instead?

"I just..knew that..surya group came into existence after the Ex Chairman of palace group died in a car crash" I said. "It was rumoured to be a murder" I said.

It was indeed a murder, The whole family was killed in a car crash!

Anjali nodded.

"The palace group was under investigation by the officer Ajith Roy that time" She said and my eyes snapped to her.

Did she just say Ajith roy?

Uncle Ajith?

If uncle Ajith is involved, My dad is likely to know about it too!

How come Arjun is involved in something like this?

I looked at the picture of the young boy.

"Arjun is...actually Sidharth Rajnath who's supposed to be dead?" I whispered, "Uncle Ajith helped him hide his identity?"

That's why my dad destroyed everything about Rajnath family? He came to know about Arjun's existance during his investigation!?

The card!

My dad's special card was with karan that day, That means Arjun knows my dad!

Arjun, My dad and Uncle Ajith was in this together!? They were fighting the Surya group all these time!

I leaned to the wooden cushion chair for support, It was too much for me to take in.

"Are you okay, Sanjana?" Anjali supported me and asked me worriedly.

"Arjun..Arjun is the heir of palace group?" I looked at Anjali and she nodded slightly.

My heart went overdrive.

I don't know what's more shocking;

The fact that Arjun is the heir of palace group or the fact that He is spying in surya group.
