"Arjun-" I stopped as I turned around slowly, Arjun was too close and the intensity of his gaze just unnerved me.

The undeniable attraction between us sparkled and he moved closer to me.

"I'm a guy, Sanju" he said slowly. "Do you know what went through my mind when you said that you want to come to my place?" he asked while I stayed frozen in my spot.

"Sanju-"

"You need to go back, You..You are going to be late if-"

I stopped as I felt him move closer and placed his hands on either side of me, Imprisoning me.

"I don't care" he said looking at me steadily. "All I care now is that you are here in my room, sanjana" his breath fanned on my forehead and I shivered. "wrapped in just a robe" he said while raising up his hands to my head and removed the towel off my hair, letting it down freely.

"And nothing else" He added as he started to close the distance between us.

He's going to kiss me!

I started to panic and placed my hands on his chest.

"We can't do this!"

"Why not? You are my girlfriend!"

"I..er..it's too early"

"it's not! I have waited enough" he said. "or do you not feel anything for me?" he looked in my eyes and I gulped.

That's the problem.

I am not supposed to feel anything, But why am I feeling my heart going crazy and my mind unable to think.

"I.." I trembled. "I think we must take it slow" I said quickly. "I mean-"

I stopped as I felt him lower his hands from either side of me and a tiny bit of me felt disappointment.

That's right..I am scared and disappointed alike, does it make any sense-

I gasped slowly as I felt him touching my hands, Then intertwined our fingers together, tightly.

"Arjun?" I looked up at him just as he pulled me to him.

"Hey-"

I stilled as he pressed his lips to me, his warm gentle lips were only barely touching mine, But I felt like my whole body is in fire.

He waited for a moment, Giving me time to resist, But for the life of me, I couldn't bring myself to do that, I was already in a trance.

When he started to kiss me, It was gentle at first, But then I felt his body pressing against me and both of us slammed to the the wall behind.

I started to hold him, but he refused to let go of our intertwined fingers.

Without even realising it, I started to kiss him back as urgently as he was kissing me.

I don't know how long we have been kissing, both of us were breathing hard when we finally stopped.

We looked at each other.

His eyes were dark and full of desire and I the intensity of it made me shaken.

"You are trapping me, I..I cant move.." I said slowly and he moved back.

"I couldn't hold back anymore" he said.

"Um..it's alright" I said as I moved away quickly. "It's just a kiss" I told myself more than to him, now walking out of the room to the master bedroom.

"Just a kiss?" he asked me from behind and I froze at his tone of voice.

He sounds....angry?

I turned back to him.

He did look angry! Arjun never get angry with me! What did I do? Did I do something wrong?

"Arjun?"

"Just a kiss? Sanjana? Why do I feel like you don't care? Like it's nothing?"

"I don't mean...that.."

I don't know why I'm irritated like this.

I mean, I know that she's acting with me. I knew it from the beginning, But her statement just made me think that she will go and do anything to get her revenge.

I am not at all ok with it.

Just a kiss? It's as simple as that?

I still didn't bother to stop or wonder why I am so angry at her for saying that.

I marched to her and pulled her to me.

"Arjun!" She gasped as she was inside my arms, her chest pressed against mine and she tried to step back.

My hands wound around her torso and I brought her to me more.

"Arjun! let go!" she looked startled now.

"Sanjana" I lifted her up to my hands in bridal style. "Just a kiss? It's nothing? Let me show you so that you can't easily dismiss me like that!"

I walked to the bed with her struggling form.

"Arjun!" she exclaimed. "this is...too fast..."

I dropped her to the bed and covered her with my body.

All the anger and frustrations just exploded inside me.

I had been trying my best to keep her safe, But she's so reckless that she don't even worry about her safety!

I will show her that I am not the one to be messed about, She can't treat me like this!

"Let me go!" She was already trying to move away from me.

"You wanted to come here to my apartment" I grabbed her and pulled her down to me, pinning her underneath me. I raised up both of her hands above her head and lowered to her.

I nipped her neck and she struggled beneath me.

"You are mine, Sanjana, Your heart, Your body, Your soul, Everything.." I murmured and she stopped pushing me away. "I can't stay away, You are mine" I kissed her tender skin and pushed down the cloth of the robe, Exposing her collar bone and skin beneath it.

"Arjun, we can't-"

"Why not, Sanjana? You are mine and I want you"

"But-"

"Or is it not like that for you? Do you not see me like that? Am I still a stranger for you?" I slowly got up from her and she corrected the cloth back to place and covered herself from me.

What the heck Arjun! Nothing is going to change even if you do this, She will eventually go back, She will walk straight to the trap...The trap I helped them to set for her.

"I..I..am sorry, I forced myself on you, I am-"

I stopped when she placed her hand on my shoulder.

"I..I do feel...attracted to you" she said slowly.

"Do not lie to me, You always tried to run away from me, you are too scared to let me close"

"I have..never been close to anyone, I am scared to...open myself to anyone"

"I am your boyfriend" I said. "I promise you that I will never leave you alone" I said firmly. "The moment we met at the clubhouse, I had decided to make you mine" I said.

"You..you liked me then!?" she looked surprised.

I nodded. "I have liked you for a long time now, You will be surprised to know" I said. "but it looks like you don't feel the same way about me" I said as I layed down beside her on the bed, facing the ceiling. "I really can't stay away from you anymore, But let's stop it here, let's not meet again If you are not sure about me, Sanjana" I said.

My voice shook as I said it.

I already know that my father is setting a trap to her, Even if I manage to stop her this time, There will be a next time when she's facing surya group.

"If you are feeling confused, That means you are not-"

"I like you" she said. "I am not confused about my feelings for you, I am just confused that we have known only for a short time and yet, I feel so much close to you" She said.

I looked at her and took a deep breath.

I don't care if she's lying or not, I will just trust her words now, I don't want to believe that she's lying to me.

She was so close to me and I lowered myself to her.

She wrapped her right hand around my shoulder as I kissed her, She was already kissing me back with the same hunger I ignited in her.

I lost it then, my sanity, I couldn't think of anything straight and I just wanted to make her mine.

I started to take off her robe, Almost tearing it off her and she stopped me, Holding her hand on top of mine.

"I..want to stop here today" she said.

"I can't stop, sanjana" I murmured against her ears and touched her waist. "I want you"

And she froze underneath me.

I kissed her jaw and slide down to her neck, Tasting her silky skin and nipping her slightly.

"Ar..jun.." Her resistance was as weak as her words and I looked up at her dazed eyes.

"I would like to spend this night with you, sanju, I want to make love to you" I said and it was silent for a moment.

"Wait.."

I watched as she came back to her senses and opened her eyes widely.

"Let's spend this night together-"

"No..no..no!" she started to get up, But I refused to move back.

"Arjun" she looked at me. "I am..um..sorry to give you the..er..false sign" She said slowly. "But I would really like to leave now" She said.

"Why?" I asked back. "Do you still feel that we are not close?" I asked slowly.

"That's not it" She said hurriedly, she slowly brought up her hand to my face.

She touched my cheek rather intimately, Staring into my eyes.

And I stared right back.

How much of this is fake? How much is genuine? Is everything fake?

But why does her touch makes me feel good?

Why do I like to spend time with her even if I know that she's deceiving me?

"Arjun..." she said softly, pleading with me "I'm..just...not ready" she said.

I moved back.

If I don't keep my distance, I will be in big trouble!

"Arjun?"

I turned to her, She was already sitting up in my bed, looking at me worriedly. "Are you still angry with me?" she asked me.

I smiled.

"No sanju" I said. "I was just..feeling frustrated and lonely, I am sorry that I took it out on you" I said truthfully. "I am tired and want to stop everything"

"What do you mean?" she looked at me cautiously.

"I mean...I am fed up of my routine life, I don't enjoy my work"

"Then why don't you stop it?" she asked me.

I turned to her.

"Would you like it if I stop it?" I asked back.

Would you finally see me if I stop it?

She hesitated.

"I would like you to be in peace" she said slowly. "It doesn't matter how much money you are worth, If you are not happy, Then is it really worth it to live like this?"

I stared at her.

"I am not telling you to quit your job though" she smiled. "just that..you have to take a decision that will keep you happy"

"I want someone by my side if I want to be happy" I told her. "And that's you"

She looked at me.

"Do you think my love for you is fake?" I asked her.

She hesitated for a moment.

"No" she shook her head. "I..I can feel it"

"Then move in with me" I told her. "I would like to spend my days with you, I would like to have you with me all the time"

I would like to keep you safe from others...

"No!" She shook her head. "We..we were only dating for a short time! It's too fast to do that"

"It doesn't matter if we love each other, I really want you to move in with me-"

"Stop this!" she said. "we are not married!" she exclaimed. "And we can't live together"

"You believe in marriages?"

"Yes, I do" she said. "And I can't live together with you, I am sorry, Arjun.."

"I understand" I nodded slowly. "sorry to press you like this, let's get married first then"

She stared at me.

"You are joking, Right!?"

"Do I look like I am joking now?" I asked back. "If marriage is what you want to stay with me, Let's get married now"

Why does she think that I am joking? I won't joke about marriage like this!

Besides, This is the only day I could talk to her freely, She doesn't know what's waiting for her ahead, But I know.

"I am serious sanju" I took both of her hands in mine and stared into her eyes. "I really want you to stay with me-"

"why?" I asked back. "or are you dating me for the name sake only? Are you not serious about-" I stopped as she placed her palm over my lips, Stopping me.

Guilt flashed through her face before she looked at me.

"O..okay" She said slowly and my heart leaped with joy. "But I have to warn you that..I am not.. that..I might disappoint you one day, What will you do then?" She asked slowly.

I understand what she's asking me.

"Everyone have their own positive and negative sides" I said slowly. "I am not looking for a perfect person" I said slowly.

I hope you will forgive me too..

"Okay then..This..this monday, I have an important meeting" She told me and my heart trembled. "If..if you still..want to be with me after that, I will..think about it" She said.

She thinks that I will hate her after she expose surya group!

What she's doing now is as good as rejecting me!

"Deal" I said. "We will get married after this...Monday, You cannot take your words back" I reminded her.

She nodded, Not looking at me "okay"

"Promise me" I held out my palm and she slowly placed her hand on top of mine.

"I promise, Arjun, If..if you still love me and..want to be with me after this..this time, I will definitely consider it-"

"Not consider it, we will get married..You will move in with me, No matter what happens, You will stay with me, It's a promise!" I said and she nodded.

"Yes!" I was suddenly so happy that I got up on top of the bed and raised her up with me.

"Hey! Arjun-" She stopped as I rotated her, Bringing her hands around my shoulder and clutching me.

Arjun looked so happy while he slowly put me back on the bed, Both of us were still close to each other.

My heart ached as I thought about the promise.

I know that it's not going to happen anyway.

A tiny, selfish part of me wanted to enjoy this little time I have with him.

"Thank you" Arjun smiled at me and leaned down to kiss me.

I closed my eyes and responded to him with all my heart.

Arjun was holding me too close and I wrapped my hands around him.

It was the longest kiss we ever shared, Both of us were gentle and passionate, At the same time scared and in my case-Heart broken.

"Wait-" Arjun broke the kiss and he touched his forehead to me. "Stop now..or..I won't let you go" He whispered.

I closed my eyes tightly and enjoyed the warmth of his body when he hugged me.

I pushed back all the bothering matters back to my mind and just concentrated on his heartbeat.

This is a dream...yea..A dream I can enjoy without anything to worry about, Because I know, Eventually I will have to wake up and move on.

"Arjun" I said slowly.

"Um?" he was still holding me tightly inside his hands.

"I..I need to go back" I told him.

"Wait a minute" he said, Slowly letting me go. "close your eyes sanju" He added.

"What-"

"Just do it" He insisted and I closed my eyes.

I heard him moving away, I instantly felt the warmth disappearing, missing him.

"You cannot look" He said and I smiled.

"Okay, Now" He said and I opened my eyes, The first thing that I focused on was a shiny ring.

I am scared now, I looked up at Arjun, who was looking at me with a smile, I could see my own reflection in his eyes.

"Sanjana" He said and I wanted to run away, I could read his feelings from his face and eyes and I am afraid that I will forget everything else.

"Ar.jun.." I managed. "I..I can't-"

"Sanjana" He interrupted me firmly. "I would like to spend the rest of my life loving you" He said and I stayed there, In a trance, speechless.

"You are the most important person in my life now, I promise that I will protect you, I will keep you safe" He said and he took my hand in his. "And I will love you forever" He added when he put the ring on my ring finger.

I am still speechless and rooted to the spot.

"Sanju, You are mine now, We are officially engaged" He said. "Take good care of yourself for me" He said with so much sincerity that I didn't even realise that I am crying until he was wrapping me against him again.

"Shh..it's okay" He said, Like he could actually feel the turmoil inside me.

"It's okay, Everything will be alright, I am here sanju" He whispered and that made me more tearful.

I don't know how he could say the exact words for me to calm down, But after about a good ten minutes, I finally calmed myself down.

Arjun wiped my face, kissed me on the forehead and looked down at me with a smile.

"I am the happiest man alive, Sanju" He whispered.

I know I can't deceive him anymore.

"I need to go-"

"I know" He nodded. "I will drop you, It's late-"

"No, I will just call a cab-"

"I can't let you do that" Arjun said firmly.

"Arjun" I looked at him. "Don't treat me like one of those girls who have to depend on their partner for every single thing, I am strong and self sufficient" I said firmly.

He sighed.

"Then I will call a cab for you" He said.

I smiled. "Let me get changed then" I said and he nodded.

I walked to the dressing room.

I looked at the ring on my finger for a moment and my heart was suddenly heavy.

So I changed quickly and came out when Arjun took a jacket and covered me securely inside.

"Your cab is here" He told me while correcting the collar and I nodded.

"Thank-"

"Let me escort you" he said and guided me outside.

Just in front of the glass door that lead to the front yard, He turned to me.

"Sanju, Can I ask you a favour?" He asked me.

I looked at him.

"It's my friend's engagement party this sunday, would you like to accompany me?" He asked.

Sunday?

"But I have a really important meeting on monday, It's business related, My father wants me to do" I looked down as I lied.

"It will only take 2 hours of your time, Just for the name sake only" He said.

I looked up at him.

May be that will be the last time I will be seeing him.

"Okay" I nodded. "I will" I said and he smiled.

"Thank you" He said.

Soon we walked outside to the cab and I turned to him.

"Arjun, Good night-" I stopped when he lowered himself to me and kissed me on the lips, just for a second before he raised back up.

"Arjun!" I exclaimed, My face flamed as I looked at the cab driver who was still looking forward.

"Take care sanjana" He said and opened the door for me "Text me when you reach home" He added.

I smiled and waved at him.

He turned to the driver and pulled out some bills from his wallet.

Hey! I can pay for my ride!

But I didn't say anything as I know that he will do it anyway.

"That's my fiancée, Drive safe" He told the man and he nodded back respectfully.

"Sure sir" He said while starting the car.

Arjun turned to me and both of us looked at each other, Without words.

The car moved forward and I waited until it disappeared from my sight.

I walked back to the garden in the front yard.

"Come out" I commanded.

But nothing happened.

"The one who's hiding behind the statue, Come out now!" I stressed and the man slowly walked out.

I walked to him.

I recognised the guy instantly, He's Abram's informer.

"Camera" I stretched out my hand and said, the guy took a step backward.

"Boss wanted me to..I can't give my camera-"

"I don't care what your boss want you to do" I said dangerously. "All I care is that you trespassed to my property today" I said as I took another step forward. "Do you really think that I will not find out if you step inside my place?" I stopped.

The house and the whole area is surrounded by cctv and security systems.

"Camera" I said again. "I don't have a lot of patience" I warned him.

The stupid guy didn't understand as he tried to run, I pulled the cane that was supporting the flowering plant and threw it at him.

The guy lost his footing and fell down on the hard floor, He was still clutching the camera dearly.

I walked to him, Bend down and took it from him.

I checked the photos.

Sanjana and I exiting the house, Sanjana and I kissing by the car.

I took out the memory card and looked at him coldly.

"I am sorry sir" He said quickly, getting up. "I will never do it again, I am really sorry" He stretched his hands to the camera and I moved it out of his reach.

"Tell your boss that it's the last time I will let one of him go back in one piece" I said and he nodded eagerly.

"That's it then" I detached the camera parts and thew it in my lotus pond, The guy looked like I have just destroyed his whole life.

"Next time, It will not be the camera, It will be your body lying there" I told the still frozen guy. "Leave my place before I change my mind" I added.

The terrified guy ran for his life.

So I walked back to the apartment, I have no doubts about what to do now.

I opened my wardrobe and walked to the other door inside it.

I opened it and reached the project room.

There's only one way to save her.

I realised.

I need to ruin sanjana's Appointment with the DIB, That's the only way for me to keep her safe.
