Aditi.

"How's she?" Shahid asked me "Is she taking food now?"

I shook my head "Varsha is still inside the room" I said slowly "She's angry at us for not allowing her to visit her pappa too"

"Let her take some rest" Aditya said "She's emotionally not stable now"

All of us were chatting at the hall in the evening, it's been two days since her papa's funeral and she was still refusing to talk to us.

"When is karthik coming back?" Aditya asked.

"He said he has some interesting news for us, he will reach tonight"

"Are we really sending shweta back?After all the efforts we took to kidnap her?" I asked "can't we use her to-"

"Let's send her back" shahid said "I don't want to keep on seeing her face, I am afraid I will kill her otherwise" he said "I still need to find Izzy so I don't want to mess things up" he added.

Shweta was still locked up in our room.

"Let us send her back then" I said and got up "let me take some water for varsha" I walked to the kitchen.

When I reached our room, it was already unlocked.

Shweta sat straight as she saw me, Her right hand was still cuffed to the cot.

"Let me help you-"she started.

"I suggest you shut your mouth if you want to escape here" I said angrily "Everyone here is barely controlling themselves not to harm you, Shweta" I said as I walked to varsha's bed side

"Where's varsha?" I turned around to shweta.

"She said she want to talk to you?" shweta said, confused.

"She was not with us!" I exclaimed "how long has she been-"

"15 or 20 minutes" shweta said "She..she did look weird!" shweta added.

No!

Don't tell me that..

"Aditya! Shahid!" I shouted and ran out of there.

10 minutes later, All of us gathered in the hall.

"She's not in the house" shahid said.

"Or nearby places where she visit"

"I even checked the way to the estate entrance"

"Did she really...We have to search for her!"

"Aditya, it's already been 30 minutes, there is high chance that she is already outside the estate, Everyone knows the shortcuts karthik told us"

"Where are we going to search for her!?"

"She will surely go and try to get her revenge! Either surya group headquarters or Mahesh's residence"

"Let's move!" Aditya said "we need to stop her or she will get herself killed"

"I will call karthik and trisha, it will be easier for them to stop her, They are already in town"

"Shahid, you need to stay here and wait, What if she come back-"

"No! I can't stay back anymore!"

"Then disguise yourself well, We don't want surya group to capture you again"

"Guys!" Aditya said and we all turned to him "My gun is missing!" he said "I got this instead!" he showed us the small paper.

"I'm sorry, I can't stay with you until the end of this fight, But I promise you that I will take mahesh with me"

"She know that she's going to die!" I exclaimed.

"We can't let her die!"

"Let me come and help, Or mahesh will kill you!" shweta shouted as we handcuffed her back to the chair "let me-"

"Listen" Shahid lowered to her "pray well that varsha is alive" he said "or the moment I come back, I will kill you"

"If she's going after mahesh, You better search for her in his private residence outside the town, He always take girls there" shweta said.

"Shut up! You think we trust you?"

"I have nothing to gain from this, if you really want varsha to be alive, don't waste your time, Search there first!"

Karthik.

"What!" I took my key and ran out of the house "I will start searching for her" He said "Her pappa's murder could be related to palace group also, We can't be sure yet"

"But varsha don't know that, She is fixated on avenging mahesh!" Aditya said.

Trisha.

"Varsha is missing?" I asked shahid, now shocked.

"Shweta said that if she's going after mahesh, it's most likely to be in his secret residence, But we can't trust her-"

"She is right, He does have a secret residence outside the city, Let me try to find her" I said "And shahid, Don't come out, it's too dangerous for you to be outside"

"I don't care, trisha, I just don't want anyone else to die!"

Arjun.

Karan pushed the door open.

"Boss!" he said "trishana just got a phone call, It seems varsha Abraham is missing and they think she's going to meet mahesh!" he said.

I jumped up from my chair "Block trishana for me karan, She must not reach anywhere near mahesh!" I ran out "let me check with mahesh first"

Varsha.

I sat there in the taxi, looking outside.

I have already contacted mahesh.

Our conversation has been simple and straight to the point.

"Varsha!? This is quite a surprise"

"I want to meet you"

"It's my pleasure to meet you too"

He had given me the address to his private residence and I am now on my way there.

I know I'm walking straight to hell, I'm walking to my death, But I don't care anymore.

There is no use in hiding and trying to protect myself if everyone around me is going to get killed.

I wiped my eyes.

I will miss the gang.

But, I will make sure that they have one less person to deal with.

When I die, I will take mahesh with me.

I will stay calm and not panic.

Mamma..pappa..I will join you soon.

I wiped my eyes again.

Mahesh.

I can't believe my luck!

The prey I want is coming to my den.

It was a good decision to kill Abraham, it's like killing two birds with a stone!

I was already in my private residence, waiting for her.

"Sir, let me call all of our men, I feel this is a trap" Nakulan, my most trusted follower said.

"She's blind with hatred, She's coming alone" I said as I sipped my wine "one person is more than enough to deal with her" I chuckled "what a stupid girl she is!"

"Her gang is too dangerous "

"She will not risk their life" I said "Even if they come, I have you and another 6 most efficient men placed around, they can't escape you"

"I think we should inform narayan sir-"

"Do not panic, Nakulan, if they indeed follow her here, then we can capture them easily" I said "I am already favoured by father now, But imagine what happens if I manage to capture them!"

"If she come here-"

"Send her inside"

"They had gun" Nakulan said "you remember-"

"I know" I said confidently "This is not the first time we are doing this, She's not any match for us"

Varsha.

When I reached his place, The gate swung inside automatically and I stilled for a moment.

I know this is my choice.

I took a deep breath.

I am  going to be killed today.

I need to pay him back even if it's through my death.

I switched on my phone and dialled trisha.

"Varsha!" she attended on the first ring, like she's been waiting for me "where are you? Everyone's been-"

"Thank you for everything, Trisha, I would have been dead long before if it was not for you" I said "Thank you for sending my pappa well-"

"What the hell are you talking about! Where are you-"

"I am sorry to do this to you, Trisha, But I have no one else to depend on now, Stay with me"

"Varsha, listen to me, wait-"

But her voice was cut off as I muted her voice and lowered the phone.

I'm sorry Trisha, This is the only way I could pay you for all the things you have done for me..

I slowly walked inside.

The house looked deserted and nobody stopped me when I walked inside.

I moved forward firmly and reached the hall.

"You really came" I jumped at the voice and turned to the stairs where he was "And you are alone" Mahesh reached the foot of the stairs and walked to me.

"Did you kill my pappa?" I didn't beat around the bush, I know I don't have time for that.

He chuckled and took the main chair in the middle of the hall and turned to me.

"He left me no choice" he stated.

"Why?" I whispered "He was ready to merge with surya group, He was ready to hand over his company to you even if you destroyed him"

"We had bigger plan for him" Mahesh looked at me from head to toe.

"You are still beautiful" he said and I fisted my hands tightly.

He got up from the chair and walked near me.

"Varsha Abraham...Whenever I saw you with your pappa before, I always wanted to have you" He said as he walked around me "Now you finally came to me on your own" he stopped in front of me and raised his hands to my shoulder.

All the hatred that I had been storing inside just boiled over.

"Take your hands off me!" I shouted at him and at the same time I pointed the gun at him "Stay away from me!" I warned again.

"Don't get so worked up dear" Mahesh didn't even look fazed "And this thing do not suit you, varsha" he pointed to the gun "I like the old you; A sweet, Innocent, daddy's girl who always had a smile on your face"

He's talking about the time when He was partnering with my dad and latest.

It gives me chills even to think about it now. He hadbeen watching me all those times and I had no idea about it!

It also made me realise how my life have been turned around by him.

I am nothing like that girl now.

I had had enough already.

I started to pull the trigger , But I went flying through air from the blow from behind.

The gun was thrown out of my hand and I hit the ground.

"Nakulan" I saw the murderer in front of me and they laughed.

"Do you really think you could kill me?" Mahesh laughed again "You just walked straight to your death" he said victoriously.

I laughed, making both of them look at me in doubt.

"Do you really think I am not prepared!?" I asked back.

Trisha.

"Varsha?" I whispered "please...please be okay, Hang on there until I reach you.."

I could only hear the conversations that was going on at her end, I was helpless to do anything to protect her.

Tears were falling down my eyes, I know what she's doing.

Varsha is sacrificing her life to get a confession from mahesh.

"Trisha? Are you okay?" Nitin asked me worriedly "What happened to your friend?"

"keep driving, We..we need to protect..her"

"Okay-" Nitin stopped and hit the break when a police jeep pulled in front of us suddenly.

"What's happening?"

I watched as two officers got down and walked to us.

"It's SI Thomas mathew's lapdogs" I said as I recognised them. "Nitin, hide this phone away, It shouldn't get disconnected or discovered, I will keep them busy" I passed him the emergency mobile phone that was still connected to varsha's phone.

"Pull your car to the side" the first officer said.

"What rubbish is this? Are you stopping a journalist from doing her job?"

"You are summoned to the police station about a case you printed last tim-"

"It can wai-"

"No, you need to come with us now"

"You are interfering in my job, let me call officer suresh-hey!" I shouted as they took my personal mobile phone out of my hands.

"You need to come now"

I am in a tight spot now, Both nitin's and my phone was taken away and we were made to follow them.

Karthik.

I stopped in front of the gate.

The house looked calm and peaceful.

My insides were still boiling, I have already read Trisha's text.

"Varsha trapped in Mahesh's private residence"

It looks like I'm the first one to reach here, it doesn't matter anymore.

I wore my baseball cap and mask before I pushed open the gate and walked inside.

Aditya.

"You need to wait in the car, Aditi, If something happened, you should let us know" I said and she nodded.

"Be ready to drive" shahid said.

"Let me help you-"

"We need someone for a lookout, Stay here" I said sternly "Trisha seemed to be trapped in some kind of trouble, you should give her assistance when she's here"

Aditi nodded again.

"Let's go" Shahid said and both of us stepped down and tiptoed towards the house in the dark.

Varsha.

I was thrown across the floor and my head hit on the settee chair before I fell down.

I couldn't even move this time as nakulan stepped to me.

"Wait" Mahesh’s voice rang in the surrounding "Don't kill her, She's mine to deal with" He said and started to close the distance between us.

I tried to move away, But I already know that I have no other way out.

I closed my eyes tightly when I felt someone pulling me away from the spot.

"Mahesh!" karthik's voice rang with warning and I opened my eyes in shock.

No! He cant be here! I can't let him get involved.

"Varsha? You..you alright?" he turned to me "you are bleeding.." he turned murderous as he took in my form.

"Karthik! watch out!" I screamed and he ducked from the iron rod, moving me out of the way.

The once peaceful hall was echoing with sounds of fight that was going on.

I watched in horror as karthik was fighting against Nakulan.

"I won't leave you this time!" Nakulan looked enraged that karthik was still winning and I looked around.

"Karthik!"

"Varsha!" Aditya and shahid ran to us and I watched them in shock.

No! This can't be happening.

Mahesh looked totally fine with the turn of events.

"Everyone" Mahesh shouted and people started to appear from all the sides, Surrounding us "Now that our guests are here, Let's lock everyone inside!" he gave the order and the doors around us were shut one by one, Shutting everyone inside.

My vision was still blurring, But I know I should not give up easily.

Even as Mahesh's men surrounded us, Aditya was trying to treat me, I could feel his hands shivering as he checked my pulse.

"Varsha!" He wrapped me to his hands "Varsha..Hang on, you are okay.." His eyes filled.

"You...you need to..get out" I struggled to get the words out "get out..of here..." I said again "I..I have already..informed..police, If..if you..you are involved...your identity..will be-"

"Talk no more" Aditya closed his palm over my mouth "Save your energy, Breath"

"The bitch already informed police!" one of the men shouted and Mahesh looked angry.

"Kill her" he shouted angrily "And take the rest of them prisoners, Finish everything now!" He started to move when karthik blocked his way.

Karthik.

I blocked his way.

My mentor Ajith roy's voice rang in my ear.

"When you are outnumbered in the enemy's Kingdom, Take down their leader first, It's the last resort for you to win"

"How dare you!" Mahesh started to draw his gun out and I kicked it out of his hands even before he took it out.

It was another thing I had to learn for my survival, My fighting skills are my way to survive.

I know I can take these men down, with Aditya and shahid, it will be easy, But I dunno when the police is going to come and varsha is bleeding too much, I need to take her out of here now or she will die.

I looked at her direction were Aditya was already helping her and shahid was guarding them.

"Get out of his way!" Nakulan screamed and swung his fist and I avoided it easily.

I pushed mahesh to a side, Took out my gun and pointed it to mahesh's head.

"Stop!" Mahesh shouted "Everyonestop attacking!"

And the chaos around us stilled.

"We need to get out" Aditya shouted "Varsha is only semiconcious, We can't delay anymore"

Aditi.

I tapped my foot impatiently and the voice made me more edgy.

What's happening inside?

Are they okay?

Should I go and  check?

What if something happened to them and they are trapped?

Where is Trisha anyway? She is not even picking her phone up.

I tapped my foot again.

My patience was hanging on the thread and I heard the sharp knock and jumped.

"Who...who are...Sam!?" I recognised the guy.

Varsha's childhood friend, He had helped trishana with funeral arrangements of her pappa.

"Are you varsha's friend?" He asked me and I nodded "what's going on? Where is she? She told me to-" he stopped while Aditya was running towards the car with someone in his hands.

"Varsha!" I opened the back door for her and Aditya placed her behind.

"Where are the others-"

"We are here" Shahid appeared next, closely followed by karthik, Both of whom were covered in blood.

"What happened to varsha? Why did she ask me to call the police? what's going on-" Sam guy started.

It looks like varsha asked him to call the police before she went inside. She couldn't ask us that as she didn't want us to follow her!

"Get in, we don't have time to explain" shahid opened the car and took the driving seat "we need to get out of here before someone open the door for them"

"My bike is on the other side, I will bring it" Karthik ran out to the darkness.

"Varsha said police will be here, but where are they?" Aditya asked "And you" he looked at sam "How come you are here?" he asked

"Varsha told me to be here-"

"Stay back" Aditya said rudely "And explain why you are here" he added.

"He's varsha's friend; sam! What's wrong with you Aditya!?" I exclaimed.

"Yea! I am worried about her!" Sam said "She told me to bring the police here and I already informed them before coming here!" he said indignantly.

"Alright, just get inside everyone, we will have this conversation elsewhere-"

"No!" Aditya said angrily, narrowing his eyes at sam.

What's wrong with him!?

"How come you are here even before the police?" Aditya turned to him.

"I was worried about her! I just hurried here before the police-"

"Let me rephrase my question, Sam, How come you are here without the aid of police? How come you know Mahesh's private residence that's only known to a few people, how come you find it so soon that you could reach here within a short time?" he asked and everyone stilled.

I finally understood what he meant.

This is mahesh's private residence and only his trusted people knows it.

We only knew about it because of trisha, Who was collecting informations on them for the past 8 years.

"You...the police are not coming,right?" I turned to him and next thing I know, I was grabbed back and he held the knife to my throat.

"Aditi!" Shahid and Aditya called out simultaneously.

"Don't play over smart or I will kill her!" Sam pressed the blade to me, cutting me slightly

"No! Don't hurt her!" Aditya raised his hand "how much do you want-"

"Shut up" Sam started to move back.

"Let go of her-" shahid opened the door to climb down from the driving seat and Aditya closed it back.

"Take varsha to uncle prakash, She is not stable"

"But-"

"Now! or she will bleed to death!" he shouted.

"No!" sam shouted "Nobody move or I will kill her!" he shouted.

"Kill me then!" I shouted "Aditya, get away from here!" I shouted.

"Shahid go, Now!"

"No, I will kill her if you start that car!" sam warned again.

"If you kill her, sam, you will have to face us"

"Karthik!" Aditya said as karthik put his bike on the stand and get down.

"Take her to the hospital, Shahid, we got this here" he said in a calm voice "we have the  bike with us" he added.

So shahid started the car and drove away as sam looked threatened.

"How did you know?" sam looked at karthik.

"It just dawned to me that you were with varsha when mahesh first atracked varsha and you were totally fine while varsha nearly lost her life, Then, Varsha's pappa was hiding for a long time, Even his shareholders couldn't find him, But Mahesh suddenly found him and killed him" karthik stopped "Apart from varsha, her pappa would only trust you, Because you were supposed to be her childhood friend, So he wold definitely try to contact you to know if you know about her whereabouts, And you betrayed him, That's how mahesh knew where he was hiding!" He said and my heart skipped a beat. "And now, varsha trusted you to call the police and they never came"

"when she was running to the rooftop from the hospital, She was under your watch and yet, you didn't do anything, you later told me that she tricked you, But no, You wanted her to take her life then!" Aditya added.

"Don't take any more steps forward" Sam shouted "the rest of the men are on their way, you can't escape" sam said.

"You son of a bit**! You destroyed everything she held close! It's Because of you that she don't even care for her life!" Karthik said venomously.

"Get out of here, karthik" Aditya said

"Let me take care of this, get out of here" karthik looked angry as he watched sam.

"Both of you, leave me and get out of here before the others reach here" I shouted now.

"No!" Both of them said simultaneously.

"Karthik-"

"Save it, Aditya, I'm not going back leaving you to deal with this"
