"You bloody cheat! You traitor-" She raised the knife again "I am going to kill you" She said

Before she could stab me the second time, I got hold of her wrist and turned her around in a swift motion, pressing her to my body and the knife fell down with a sound.

"Aditi!" Aditya looked furious as he called her name.

Shahid and Trishana was frozen in their places, still not sure about what's going on.

"Let me go" Aditi shouted "you cheated us, you informed the police, you are the traitor that caused all of these-"

"Enough, Aditi, he already told us everything" Aditya shouted and trishana gasped.

"You..you really did that!?" Trishana asked me, still in shock and Aditi stopped struggling.

"What? he confessed himself!?" she exclaimed "don't trust him, it's another of his dirty trick"

"He is the son of ACP suresh kumar" Shahid said slowly "who helped me and Varsha before" He added and Aditi looked shocked.

It looks like I owe my dad this!

"I am sorry" I let her go once I knew that she won't attack.

"I always told you to think before you act" Aditya scolded her "you wounded him"

"He deserves that" she scowled.

"It would have been fatal if you had stabbed him on his chest"

"I doubt it" she muttered and I couldn't help but smile through the pain at her stubbornness "he's too thick skinned, Even the blade wont-"

"ADITI" Aditya shouted "I will deal with you after I suture him"he said before reaching me "karthik-"

"It's okay, I'm okay" I said as shahid already reached near me with Aditya's medical kit

"It's good that Dr.prakash have a small clinic attached to his home"He said

So five minutes later, he was already suturing me.

I winced slightly as I felt the pull even with local anesthetic and turned to Aditi.

"How did you know?"

"Know what?"

"That it was me who did it?"

"It was easy" She folded her hand across her chest and leaned to the wall behind "I was watching you" she said arrogantly.

"You were watching me!?"

"When you kidnapped me and took me to your place, You saw my gun and you almost freaked out, Your attitude changed and you demanded answers from me" she said "Then when you saw Aditya's gun, You were behaving strange, I felt like you were trying to know about the source of our guns, you looked displeased about it" She answered.

Wow! So she was actually watching me.

"Suresh sir's son or not, I still don't trust you" she added again.

"Aditi" Aditya got up after he finished suturing me "you acted too impulsively, Apologise now" he said and her face darkened.

"It's okay" I said "If anything, I deserve it after what I have don-"

"Aditi" Aditya cut across me, sternly.

"I..er..ok, I will try to control the next time-"

"Next time?" Aditya stared at her and she looked away.

"Okay, I'm sorry" she said, not at all sounding sorry.

I smiled at her.

"Do you remember what I told you before, Aditi?" I said and she looked confused.

"Then I will remind you for the last time, Aditi, Don't watch me too much" I said "You can't deal with me" I said and she looked outrageous as she remembered my words.

"Don't make me interested in you,You can't deal with me.."

"Jerk" She stomped out of there.

I chuckled as I saw her going out of there.

"What was that about?" Trisha looked at me.

"That's Between us" I winked.

Surya Narayan.

I watched as everyone in the meeting room was blaming each other.

"It's them, the same guys who were at the cafe last time" Mahesh said "I am sure of that"

Arjun had already predicted about them, But I never thought they will really form a group to resist us, And worse-we don't even know the identity of the rest of them.

"That's not the point here" Abiram looked at him "the problem is, you let them escape, your men were totally useless" Abiram said "if it was me-"

"They had gun and they were like professional fighters!" Mahesh retorted.

"Enough" I growled and everyone stilled. I looked around the table.

"I am very disappointed in you all" I said, then turned to Arjun, who was the only one who was calm and watching the fights that was going on around.

He was against the plan from first onwards, He wanted us to take her to the police station and follow her to find out shahid khan.

"What do you think we should do now?" I asked and he typed in his laptop and turned it to me.

"It's true that they are the same group from the restaurant" he spoke up "And it's them, who spread the news about Varsha's arrest too"

"Spread the news? what do you mean?" Mahesh turned to him.

Arjun looked straight back.

"I checked it, From the moment the police arrested Varsha, They splitted into two groups, While one group followed the police jeep, the other group must've waited at the police station"

"Why did they spread the news about varsha's arrest?" pramod looked at Arjun.

"Because they wanted varsha to be safe" he explained "they informed the media so that the police have no choice but bring her to the police station instead of handing her over to our men"

"They knew that we were planning that!?" ragav asked.

"Yes, They knew that the police there was sent by us, So they publicly announced about the arrest so that we will have no choice but present her before the court"

"How come you know this!?" Abiram asked.

"It's obvious" Arjun shrugged "Because there's one reporter with them; Trishana" he said "If I am not wrong, This must be her idea" He said.

"We checked the cctv at the hotel, apart from the two masked guys who tried to help varsha, there was no one else there" pramod stated.

"Don't forget one thing" Arjun said "Shahid is a programming genius, Don't tell me that you believed it was a technical problem that the elevator malfunctioned and the current went off" he said.

"Then! It was them!?" Abiram looked outrageous.

"I don't believe in coincidences, The exact moment the police arrested them, The power went off? that's ridiculous, My theory is that apart from the two guys who fought with the police , there were others in that building who were controlling the elevator and the power supply"

"We already checked the cctv, nobody went to the generator room-"

"Because shahid must've predicted this when he choose that place to stay and He already controlled the power supply, since he selected that particular apartment to hide, he must've done his homework well, He knew the blind spots from the cctv well"

"That sounds farfetched" Mahesh said thoughtfully.

"Don't underestimate shahid, why do you think that he was the number one security officer for a lot of firms" Arjun said.

"So" I spoke up. "They all are hiding again and they took varsha back too" he said.

"Our biggest disadvantage is that we don't know the identity of that masked guys" Arjun said.

"But we know one person who can't hide" I said "the reporter, if we follow her, we will know about the others soon"

Arjun nodded "They will be very careful now, But if we monitor well, we can find the others through her" he agreed.

"Then let me-" Mahesh started.

"No!" Abiram interrupted "you failed twice, let me deal with her"

"There's one more thing I am worried about" Arjun looked around "they have followed the police jeep and found out about the warehouse were varsha was locked up" He said

"What about that?" pramod asked him.

"Think...if you are a reporter, What will you do if you find something interesting? Or something that's worth reporting?"

"You mean! She..she photographed it!?" Abiram asked incredulously.

"It's just one of my theory, if trishana was the one who followed the police jeep, She must've recorded the exchange" I said

"If she has done that, we are trapped!It was our police officers who said that Varsha escaped by attacking them! If news about her exchange become public, They are going to get in serious trouble!"

"I will take care of this matter" Abiram gritted his teeth "That bitch is been playing with us for a long time, it's time for us to settle it"

"Inform SI thomas mathew about this, Ask him to lay low now" I announced "It will be trouble if it comes out that he exchanged the girl to the private goons"

"If she ever do something like it, I am going to personally see her end" Mahesh said "She's been following me for a long time now!"

Trishana.

"The pictures are clear, We can really see the police dragging varsha out and handing her to surya groups men" nitin said "Wow!This is a big scoop!"

"It's a pity that we can't broadcast it live" I said "I have to clear shahid and Varsha matter today so that the police will give them a clean chit"

Yes, My suspension period is over and this is my first day back at work and most probably, The last day too..

"Are you really ok with this,Trisha?" Nitin asked "You really decided to quit?" He said "Starting Truth magazine is okay, But It will not be as widely accepted as Reporting"

"I can't report here, Nitin, so I should as well use this chance to help them" I said.

Even if I don't resign, I am sure that they are going to fire me today.

"Is everything ready?" I asked nitin and he nodded.

"Our team is all ready" He said.
"Since we have decided to go against the company,  why don't we go all the way and publish these photos showing the police handing varsha to the local goons?" He asked.

"No" I said "I just don't want the people to get side tracked, I want to make sure that the case against Varsha for kidnapping is all clear, I don't want the police to follow them anymore"I said.

"That makes sense"He nodded.

"If we can't broadcast it, can we put it up on internet? social medias can be helpful in situations like this" nitin asked me.

"I thought about it too, nitin, But we are against the surya Group, They will take down our news, They will buy all the news sites and it will disappear in a few hours"

"Yea..I didn't think of that" nitin nodded.

"Truth magazine is our only one last hope, Even if it's not widely accepted now, I will see that I report only the truth in there"

"I understand "nitin nodded " Don't worry, We will do it then"

"See that no one else works with this, I want this to be strictly confidential until the printing, I don't want anything to leak out before that" I said and he nodded again.

Even though I have only a few staffs with us now, I don't want to risk anything.

If narayan's men ever suspected anything, Not only will they try to take it, but also all of us will be in danger.

So it's better kept quiet until the news is released.

I would really like to see their expression when it's released, They started the whole thing by saying varsha escaped with her gang and now that she really got away, they couldn't even explain the situation if the news about the police exchanging her become public!

"Trisha, who was that people who-"

"Don't mind them, nitin, just know that they are our source of information now" I said.

I don't want nitin to get involved in my revenge.

"Are they trustworthy?" Nitin asked.
I smiled.

"Don't worry, I trust them all" I said and looked at the watch

"Let's start the plan, It's time to go live"I said.

"I'm nervous about this, Trisha,Are you sure about this?" He asked me again.

"I am prepared to face the consequences" I assured him "I need to make sure that Varsha and Shahid won't be hunted by the police anymore" I said.

Arjun.

I changed the channels.

The news about the designer varsha pointing her gun at the police and trying to escape with her accomplice was going on in all the channels.

It's funny that what we started as a shield to kidnap her had backfired badly, At the end, She really escaped with her gang.

I changed the channel again-And stopped when I saw the reporter.

Trishana.

"-This is the clip we obtained from the scene" She said while the clip of varsha holding the gun appeared and then It showed her pointing the gun at her own head.

When all other channels showed the clip about her pointing the gun at the police officer, Trishana actually dared to air the clip about the other side of the story.

Varsha looked terrified and fragile, She looked broken and tears were falling down her eyes-Any person with brain could see that She's under great stress.

"Now, We have obtained an exclusive interview with Shahid khan, Who was "reportedly" kidnapped by Varsha" She said and I froze.

What the hell is she doing!

Another clip appeared where shahid was being interviewed.

"-I was not kidnapped by her, She actually helped me escape the killers who came to the hospital for me" He said

"Then why didn't you come out and say the truth when police was targeting varsha All this time?"

"Because If I come out, I was afraid that they will follow me, Then I saw how they tried to arrest her for something she has not done and agreed to the interview" He said.

Trishana came back on and went to the next subject.

I was still in shock, The girl just messed up the whole situation, She cleared varsha's case without letting them appear in the police station or court.

Trishana has just told them that the police was hunting an innocent girl all these time.

I am sure the public will be turning against the police soon.

My phone started to ring.

"Karan" I said, switching off the TV.

"Sir, Reporter trishana just-"

"I heard the news" I grunted "Come back to the head quarters, I don't think we could rest early today" I said.

"But why didn't shahid said anything about his wife? He wanted to file complaint before" Karan said.

"He won't dare speak against surya group publicly until he find his daughter" I said

"Then why did they come forward like this?"

"The news was exclusively for clearing Varsha's name, Now the whole world will demand why she was turned to a wanted criminal"

"That's Bad! So SI thomas will be targeted!" He said "which means a lot of works to us"

"Meet me at the company then" I disconnected the call.

Thanks to Trishana,I can't even take a break now.

Varsha.

All of us paused in front of the old tile-roofed house.

Since going back to skylines is out of question now,This was the best chance we had-Karthik’s estate house.

All of us, except trishana was here at karthik's estate house for our "project surya narayan".

Trisha said she wanted to stay away from us as  narayan will try to find us through her.

"Wow! I never thought something like this still existed now" Aditya said, whistling softly.

And karthik turned to him.

"If you hide here in this house, Nobody is going to find you"He said.

"Yea, you can scream your lungs out and nobody's going to come for you" Aditi said in a good imitation of karthik's voice "And the house is in the centre of the estate and you can never find your way out" She stopped.

"Good" Shahid said "narayan's men wouldn't guess a place like this" he added.

"Good!? You really think it's good?" Aditi looked around us. "I still don't trust him" She declared "he could be setting a trap for us here" she said.

Karthik turned to her.

"I understand that you feel pretty strongly about the house since you were locked here before"He said "But I assure you that I am a man of my words, I promised to help you fight against narayan because I wanted to" he said firmly.

"I believe you" I stepped forward a little. "You took a lot of trouble to get us out of the town, Thank you so much karthik" I said sincerely.

Karthik had taken his dad's car-one of the only transport we could have without the police check up-to drive us outside the town.

Yes, And he apologised the moment I woke up, He apologised sincerely and promised to stand with us.

He was also willing to open this private house for us to hide from surya narayan.

"Thank you varsha" karthik smiled at me, then looked down "though I know that I don't deserve it" Karthik added.

"Good thing you know that" Aditi  said.

"Aditi" Aditya warned "That's enough" he added.

"I don't know why you are taking sides with your sister's kidnapper" Aditi said, now annoyed "and you" she looked at karthik who doesn't look like bothered by her words.

"I am  watching you, mind you" she added threateningly.

Karthik nodded "Me too, You are quite..um..what should I say..ah..amusing, Aditi" he said with a smile.

Aditi gave him a death glare while, I saw, Aditya tried to hide his chuckle.

"Aren't we going inside?" Shahid turned to us from the front "Let's make this house livable" he said.

"Okay.." I stepped forward, for some reason, I was feeling optimistic all of a sudden, For one thing, I know I am not alone anymore, and another thing, my idea of revenge looked possible now.

"Wait, let me tell you something first" Karthik walked to the front and turned to us.

"This house is old, but it's strong and livable, we have our caretaker who take care of it-who is vacationing now" he said "But it still has some areas that needs to be taken care of, With you here, I hope we can make it livable"

"Why do you owe a house in the middle of the woods?" Aditi folded her hands across her chest.

"It belonged to my great grandfather and they moved to town" he said.

"Looks creepy" she commented

"Network coverage is rather poor in certain places here" karthik added "so don't go wandering and get lost" Karthik stopped, His eyes coming to stop on Aditi who gave him a look and walked inside.

Mahesh.

"The whole department has turned against me" SI thomas mathew said "They wanted to know why I went after an innocent person without proper evidence" He said.

"The story about varsha has changed, People are demanding an explanation" ragav sir said.

"It's all because of that bitch, Trishana" Abiram said

"ACP suresh kumar is back in place" thomas mathew said "He is elected to secretly investigate this case" He said.

"So our initial plan would not work, Now shahid don't have to come forward publicly, I Am sure that suresh kumar will help him without exposing him to the public" Arjun said.

"Trishana!" Father slammed his hands on the table and growled "She's Truly Like her father" He added.

"I have already taken care of her father" Abiram said "Now it's time for the daughter to follow his path"

"No" Arjun said "Don't make this messier" He said ,then turned to father "Leave her to me, I will take her as my next case" He said.

Father nodded thoughtfully.

"We will take her down if she's planning anything" He said "Keep an eye on her" he added.

I fisted my hands as I saw Arjun nodding.

Father has started to include him in the internal affairs now.

I wouldn't have been worried if he was like Abiram, But Arjun is actually brilliant and that's a threat to me.

Trishana.

"What!?" I got up from my chair "you want me to empty my office?" I asked him as the guy looked uncomfortable.

"You are forbidden from going live, A new person will take your place" johnson sir walked inside and I turned to him.

"You want me to quietly quit on my own? Do you think taking my position away will do you good? First you changed my place from 9 o'clock to the least  busiest time,then you took the microphone away and now you want to kick me out of my office"I said.

Even though I have expected this, It's still making me angry that they are kicking me out of my father's company.

"What you have done is unacceptable, Trishana, You-"

"What did I do? That interview with Shahid khan was an exclusive, You can see that our rating has gone up"

"If you agitate the higher ups, I can't hold them back anymore-"

"You mean to say surya corporation to whom you decided to work for" I said venomously "I never thought you could be bought like this, uncle, I never thought you will give in like this"

"You know better than to resist them, look at what happened to your dad!" he said and stopped like he had just spit out something unintentionally.

I stared at him.

"I am so proud of him" I whispered "he reported the truth, uncle, the real truth, not holding back anything, He was framed and jailed-"

"I..I dont mean-"

"Please have a little respect for him" I said, trying to control the emotions "he worked for this company all his life only to be jailed" I stopped and took a deep breath "I will empty the office, uncle, if you take the mic away from me, There no point for me to continue here, I will submit my resignation" I said.

"You can stay in the management, Trishana, I don't want you to quit"

"I am a reporter, Uncle, If I can't report, There's No point for me to stay here" I said.

"Then I will leave with you too" Nitin, who had been in the side spoke up "If trisha leave here,I will follow her out" He said

"Trishana, This is so irresponsible, If you leave like this, Two of our main editors and camera man will follow you" he said "Even if you are angry, You bear with it all these time, Your father established this office-"

"It's No more the same truth TV, Uncle, I won't ask anyone to leave with me, But I will take whoever is following me" I said

Uncle raised his eyebrows in surprise.

"From now on, I will start the truth magazine, uncle, That belongs to me" I said.
