I opened the door for him, Shahid had told me that trishana and others are coming here today.

"Where is Shahid?" Trishana asked me, looking around.

"He is on his way here, He is still searching for priyanka, His daughter is with that friend" I explained.

"The police are searching for him and he went out?" The girl in short hair said.

"You must be Aditi" I nodded "Shahid has disguised himself" I assured them "please come in everyone" I said

So Aditi moved inside without further encouragement.

The next guy extended his hands to me "Karthik" he said and I shook his hand.

"Varsha" I smiled "Thank you for coming here and helping us" I said.

Shahid had told me that Karthik decided to join us only the last moment.

He too moved and I was face to face with the last person to enter.

"Um...Dr.Aditya" I nodded.

I know that my disappearance from the city hospital has caused them to dismiss him.

"Why do you look so displeased to see me? Your smile just turned to a frown" He said, folding his hands across his chest.

"Ah..I was not..You know, expecting that I would..meet you again" I said "But it's good, I guess, How have you been,Doctor?" I asked

"My patients disappeared overnight and how do you think I will be?" He asked back.

"Uh..I am sorry Docto-"

"Call me Aditya" He said "we are going to work together, I don't want anyone to slip that name out and expose me" He said.

I nodded quickly "You are right" I said.

I really wanted to escape now, We didn't have a great start and I felt uncomfortable suddenly.

I looked around, Karthik and trisha was already inspecting the apartment.

"So varsha-"

"Aditya, Cut her some slack!" Someone said behind me and I turned around to see Aditi looking at him, Then she turned to me.

"He was going to quit working there Anyway" She said "So it's not your fault that my brother got kicked out" she said.

"Ouch..Can you put it in nicer words, Aditi!" He said

The bell sounded again and I turned to the door "I think shahid is here" I said as I walked to the door.

Shahid.

"Did you find her?"Varsha asked me as soon as I entered.

I shook my head "No" I said as I removed the fake glasses and the mustache.

"Whoa! You really look like a different person, How did you manage the makeup?" Trisha reached me.

"Varsha" I answered and I walked to the settee where the others were sitting.

"But I thought you were a fashion designer" Trisha asked varsha.

"I had to deal with the models and the fashion shows too, I work with make up artists all those time" She said.

"I see" Trisha nodded, then turned to me "What about izzy, Any leads?" She asked me.

I shook my head.

"Did you find any clue on your friend who have her?" Karthik asked.

"I can't contact her" I said "Priyanka is missing, My daughter is with her" I felt defeated now.

"Is this friend trustworthy?" Aditi asked.

"Completely, She's One person who knows all our problems with our family and supported us, Priyanka will save izzy at all costs, Otherwise we never would have entrusted her with izzy"

"Why don't you file a missing person complaint to get your daughter back then?" Karthik asked and I shook my head.

"Narayan have a lot of officers inside, if they find my daughter, there is high chance that she will end up in his hands"

"I Am really sorry to say this, But what if narayan already know about her? we should think about all the probabilities, what if he's already got her-"

"No" Trishana shook her head "if he have izzy, he will be already blackmailing shahid, that's how he works"

"You are registered as a missing person now, shahid, Things will be easier if you go to police station and clear varsha's name, She is assumed to be your kidnapper" karthik said.

"The moment I step out, they will follow me" I said

"How come you arranged this apartment? I really thought you will get caught sooner" Aditya looked around the small comfy apartment.

I tried to control the storm inside me.

"Ajith sir had warned me this, He even helped me forge the fake identity under the witness protection, We..Jasmine and I was planning to hide from narayan the moment we knew about Ajith sir's death" I said "They kidnapped her the day before we were supposed to move"

Everyone was silent for a second.

"I..i need to find izzy, This is the only thing I can do for jasmine now, it was her last wish..she..she wanted me to find izzy and keep her safe" my voice trembled as Aditya moved to my side.

"We will find her, don't worry" he said.

Trishana nodded "you are not alone anymore, shahid, we need to start searching for her"

"I know a few places where she could be" I said slowly "but if I go out, the police will get me"

"Stay here" Aditi said slowly "I will help you search for her, surya corporation has no idea about our identity" she said.

"How long will he stay inside? the only way he could freely search his daughter is to clear all the charges first" karthik said.

"They will try to get him again, They need him to decode the files" Trishana said and karthik sighed.

"I still think hiding is not going to work, How long will he be able to hide? It's not practical" karthik said.

"Why do I feel like you have so much faith in the police department?" Aditi snapped at karthik.

"I am just talking the obvious" karthik shrugged "Do you think it's practical for shahid to hide forever? And varsha is going to be suspected as a kidnapper as long as her name is not cleared" he stopped.

"I know you are right, karthik, I am waiting for a good opportunity to clear her name" I said

"Don't worry about me" varsha said "Even if I am taken to custody, You can come and confess that I have nothing to do with your kidnap, let's postpone it as long as we can, Let's Not give a chance to surya group to find us now" She said

"I'm thinking of a way" I said.

I turned to Aditya, Aditi and karthik "what about you? I am sure narayan will be very interested to know the identities of the rest of us after the incident at the file house, We already took the files from there"

"It will take them a while to realise that they have the fake datas" Karthik shrugged "But it's a matter of time"

"We are already registered under another name, he will have a hard time tracing us" Aditya said

"The brain of surya corporation is surya law firm, They are very fast in finding out things" Varsha reminded them.

"But they are not going to find out " Aditya said "Ajith sir have already made it like that, that's another reason we could come back to India"

"He..he wanted to help you come back here?" karthik turned to them.

"Yes, He said there's no need for us to hide from our homeland, He said he will make sure that our trail is covered"

"The only person dangerous to all of you is me"  Trishana said "I am a reporter in their hit list and I am sure they will have an eye on me, So I don't want them to find you through me" she said.

"so I will not be contacting you often"She said "if it's very urgent, contact me through my camera man, only if it is absolutely necessary" she added again.

Karthik.

I was still pacing up and down when dad appeared.

"Is something wrong, karthik? You are too restless today" he said.

"It's nothing,dad" I replied quickly "what about you? I heard you are investigating shahid's missing from the hospital"

Dad had been investigating Shahid-varsha missing case, It was him who rescued them and send them to the city hospital at first and I think he feels responsible for what happened.

"No leads" he said "but if narayan's men find him before I does, He is going to disappear without any evidence"

"What about that guy who was found in shahid's room that day?"

"He still hasn't opened his mouth, It will be difficult to get a confession out of him, He's not even talking about who attacked him" Dad said.

Of course, No one will believe him if he said that shahid was the one who attacked him, Shahid was weak and bedridden then.

"What about you? I heard you are working on your new case at the estate house, did your team reach there?"

I walked out and started my bike.

If shahid's and varsha's names are cleared, they can have the freedom back.

Then shahid can look for his daughter openly.

I stopped near a Secluded coin booth.

If it's my dad who is finding them, they will be safe, They won't end up with narayan's men.

I dialled my dad's number and waited.

"Hello?" I heard his voice and I pressed the handkerchief to the mouth piece and changed my voice.

"I want to inform something"

"Who is this?" My dad's voice do not sound like he trusted me.

"Shahid and varsha" I said "I saw them at the skylines, They are hiding there" I said and disconnected the call.

Now, it's going to be resolved, my dad will take care of everything, He won't let them get hurt.

My heart felt less heavy as I walked back and put my helmet back on.

I don't know if it's because I am a police officer's son, I really can't tolerate illegal things, Especially if it includes drugs and weapons.

And they have illegal weapons with them and they must be stopped now itself.

Karan was briefing me about reporter trishana.

"What happened?"

"The case against mahesh was settled without dragging surya group's name through it" he said said "After a few months of her father's death, Trishana brought up the suicide case again"

"Six years ago? Then..it was..nandana case? The girl who committed suicide?" I guessed.

Karan nodded "whoa!You are really resourceful"

"I Am the legal advisor of surya corporations, karan" I said "so what's her status now?" I asked, Looking at the files in front of me.

It was full of her photos.

From her birth to the graduation ceremony to her workplace.

"I heard that she's suspended temporarily"

"That's good, it will help us reduce the mess she's causing" I said "so that's why she's obsessed with surya corporation" I said nodding my head.

"She has openly declared war against us after her father's death" karan said and looked up "Nobody paid any mind to it as she was still young that time"

"How come I didn't know about this?"

"It happened just before you joined the surya group" karan said.

"Do you remember the reporter who questioned Mahesh publicly, the one who made him go crazy and caused all of that trouble"

"The one who questioned Mahesh about the girl's name associated with him in a live interview?"

"That's her" karan nodded.

I take a second look at her.

Whoa! So she's someone I had dealt with in the past, She was the one who made me go through a lot of trouble that time.

Mahesh was asked for an interview about the surya hotels and she had turned up to interview him, What we had planned to be a promotional program was turned around while her questions turned serious , she had turned up with all the victim's details.

Mahesh wanted to "kill" her after the incident and Everyone concluded it best to "kill" her career instead of her as he will be a prime suspect if she disappear from the world.

So it was me who suggested the best option that time, to demote her, to throw her out of her position, I never knew that her company continued to do that.

"That files have all the details I have collected on her" Karan said.

I put the bike on the stand and walked inside.

It was more than half an hour since I reported to my dad.

"Dad!?" I stilled as I saw him coming out with the travelling bag "you are still here?" I asked, shocked.

He is supposed to go and find shahid and Varsha!

"What do you mean by that karthik?" he looked at me "Are you alright?"

"I..I thought it's your working time, how come you are-"

"I need to go and see the commissioner"

"What!?"

"I am summoned to the commissioner's office now, I need to see him within a hour"

"But what about-What if there is any emergency situation at your station?"

"I found shahid, karthik, I really wanted to go there but there seemed to be an emergency and I need to go and see the commissioner now"

"What about shahid then?" I asked, I really have a bad feeling about this.

"He will be alright" Dad said "I am just glad that we found him before narayan's people, I have arranged for taking his testimony"

I ran back to my bike.

"Hey karthik" I attended the call "it's the first time you are contacting us-"

"Aditya! Where are you? Where's shahid?"

"Is something wrong? You sounds like-"

"Police know about him, We need to move him or he will end up in narayan's hand" he shouted.

"But what happened-"

"I will fill you everything later" karthik cut across me "we don't have time, how long will it take for you to reach there?"

"10 minutes?"

"I Am already on my way, let's meet at the gate"

I watched as aditya disconnected the call, looking worried.

"What happened?"

"Shahid and varsha need to be moved, police know about them"

"What!"

"I am going there, we need to inform them-"

"I Am coming with you-"

"Aditi-"

"You will need my help" she said sternly "we don't have time to waste" she said as she ran out and I followed her.

"Trishana...we need her now" I said after a moment as aditya started the car.

"What can she do?"

"She's a reporter!" I explained "if we can't stop them taking shahid and varsha, we need evidence to prove that they are taken away by the police" I explained "as long as we have the photos and report on the police arrest them, They have no choice but make sure that Shahid and varsha are safe until they bring her to the police station"

"And don't trust karthik too much, Don't forget that he kidnapped me, I don't like him"

"If he's not helping us, why should he warn us about the police? You are too over conscious, Aditi"

"I just have a feeling, Aditya, He is not like others" I said "I have never been wrong about anyone before"

"We will worry about it later, just keep trying to contact them, karthik said he can't contact shahid or varsha"

"No" I cut across nitin, I need to take care of it myself.

"Why did you bring her?" I looked at Aditi distastefully "we don't want more trouble today"

"Worry about how we are going to get them out first" Aditi scowled at me as Aditya raised up his hand.

"It's ringing" he said and both of us turned to him.

"Shahid! where were you!?" Aditya cursed "Get out of the apartment, police are on their way" Aditya said "we are already waiting at the parking lot-what!"

He looked shocked and Aditi and I looked at each other, worriedly and avoided eye contact the next second.

"Okay..I got it, take care of yourself then, Don't come out, Go to uncle prakash's house now"

Aditya disconnected and turned to us.

"Shahid is outside, he went to search for priyanka" he said

"That means-"

"Yea, varsha is alone in the apartment, It will be big trouble if she got caught, She's a suspect and shahid can't clear her name now, Narayan's men will be closely watching for him to appear"

"Damn!" I cursed "come on,we can't waste any more time" I reached for the door as Aditya touched my hand.

"Cctv" he said "don't expose yourself, take this mask and use it once you get inside" he handed over the black mask and I took it from him.

"Okay"

Varsha.

I heard the knocking and walked to the door.

I hope shahid has found something about Izzy..I hope he has at least managed to find priyanka.

"Coming.." I moved to the door, but it was broken from outside before I reached there.

"Don't move" the police officer warned as I stilled in my track "The whole building is surrounded by the police, you can't move" he said again, taking a step forward as I took a step backward.

"Do not move" he yelled as he took the gun out now.

"It's only a girl, no need to use your gun" the second officer said.

"It was an order from narayan sir, we shouldn't risk anything, she's dangerous" he replied and my heart squeezed painfully.

They are narayan's officers, I am not going to get out of this, Not the second time.

I was still frozen as they walked near.

The first one put the gun away as he took out the handcuff out.

"Ms.Varsha Abraham, you are under arrest for kidnapping-"

Next thing I know, he was moved out of the way and I watched, confused as two masked men were inside the apartment, fighting the officers.

"Varsha,move" I recognised karthik's shout as he pulled me by my wrist and Aditya kicked the chair towards the officers, who were trying to run, but slipped and fell down from the impact.

There's no way we could escape, the whole area is surrounded by police!

We have no hope.

"You need to get out of here, I am going to slow you down, there's police officers all around" I said robotically.

"Stop talking nonsense and move" Aditya pulled me out of the way as a gunshot was heard.

"Take her out of here, I will deal with them" karthik shouted.

"Careful, he has a gun" Aditya warned before running out with me, dragging me out with him.

"We are going to die" I was still in a trance "you shouldn't get involved now, you need to go before-"

"Shut up and follow me" Aditya dragged me to the staircase, but I struggled out of his grip.

"You are going to get entangled if you do this, forget about me and-"

"We promised to help each other-"

"It's too late, they are going to know about your identity because of -Ah" I cried out as I was slammed to the nearest wall, I looked at Aditya with wide eyes as he looked angry.

"Listen to me, varsha, We already started this together, we can't give up midway" He said.

"But-"

"How many times did I tell you not to lose hope! varsha! Don't You want revenge? do you really want to give up now? like this?" he shouted, infuriated and I nodded slowly.

"I..I will come"

Aditi.

I was waiting impatiently at the lobby with all other residents and people who were there.

The police has warned everyone not to move until they get the culprits arrested.

People were already recording everything in their mobile phones, Excited to see the police arresting a top designer who had reportedly kidnapped shahid khan.

"Aditi"

"You are here, Trishana!" I was somehow relieved to see her.

"What's the situation here"

"Bad" I whispered "narayan's men also reached here, They are going to the elevator, but shahid said we could trap them by pressing this" i showed her the remote "They will get trapped in the elevator, he seemed to have prepared for this long before"

"That's good then" Trishana said.

"But the police have  already blocked the stairs, how are they going to get out?"

Varsha.

We were only at the 19 th floor when aditya stopped.

"What's it?" I panted.

"Shhh..police" he said

"Why did you stop here?" karthik reached the landing and we turned to him.

"Are you okay, what happened to the police-"

"I locked them up, but what's it?"

"I think the stairs is blocked" Aditya whispered and all the three of us pressed ourselves to the wall behind the plant.

"Both of you surrender" karthik whispered.

"What!?"

"It's the only way, we can't fight all of them, you surrender first and then, when they least expect it, we need to attack" he said.

"Okay..that's..that's the best plan we have now" Aditya nodded "Are you ready?" he looked sideways at me.

I was still scared.

"Okay" I said and karthik nodded encouragingly.

"Don't worry, you are not alone anymore" he said.

"Yea, We are going to take you out, trust us, we are a team" Aditya said.

"Keep your mask as long as you can, Try to save your face from getting exposed until I find a way to help you two" Karthik told Aditya and he nodded.

He took my trembling hand and walked down and I followed him While karthik watched us.

Even if I die today, I will be happy that I have people who are willing to help me today.

Not like the last time,when I was alone and terrified.
