Boa: So you have conqueror's haki too!

Y/N looked constipated, trying to release whatever haki he had though Boa merely pats his head.

Boa: Training haki takes time. Don't force yourself like that.

Y/N: Yeah.....

Pyrrha: Woah I'm flying.

Pyrrha flies with her flames, throwing fire punches around before slamming into the ground in a fiery explosion and Y/N uses his tremors to divert the flames.

Y/N: I have a good basis of offense and defense including the ability to one shot Esdeath within a single grab. However she won't make it easy.

Boa: She is a general after all.

Mitsuri: You can do it though!

Y/N tries training haki but mostly his cursed energy, strength, and devil fruit with Boa giving him pointers.

Boa: *smile* 'He's an adorable guy....'

Later

Esdeath:.....

Meanwhile Esdeath was silent, staring off into the sky as she remembers Y/N last words.

What's the use of standing at the top when you're just gonna be lonely? When no one's going to agree with you? Your ideology and methods are flawed, and you can't always do whatever you want in this world. In the multiverse. If you get what you want, what do you have in the end? Who do you have by your side at the end?

Change isn't easy, but I can't be forcing others to change into what I want them to be. That would depend on the person themself. Do they want to try something new? Do something different? Change? No one's perfect. I already accepted that. But.......what's your choice?

Esdeath: What an intriguing boy.........

He exclaims his despair for Y/N's betrayal, not noticing Esdeath's slightly pained face as he leaves her alone to her thoughts.

Esdeath: Why does it hurt? Why.....am I doubting myself now of all times? I don't understand...........I always believed what I'm doing was right.

She recalled the moments she spent time with Y/N. How he was so patient with her and willing to compromise multiple times. He even checked up on her when she was healing from her fight with Boa, and though her charisma won over the Jaegars they were genuinely very happy with Y/N and followed him to the point where Bols trusted him to care for his family if he dies. Each moment of her life was experienced the longer she was in deep thought , and she had gone through every memory to see where she went wrong with her own existence.

Esdeath: Doesn't matter. It's all.......in the past. And he declared me and enemy, so we are destined to fight. 'The question is........is he going to fight alone? He was confident he could take me on despite not knowing my full capabilities. What was that barrier? No....it wasn't a barrier. My ice would've shattered but they dropped harmlessly.'

She was mentally preparing herself for their inevitable fight though doubts clouded her judgement.

Later

Gojo: Well that's a big mech.

Y/N: Pyrrha are you sure?

Pyrrha: Don't worry. Me and the others can take care of the giant mech.

Tatsumi: LET'S DO THIS!

Bulat: DAMN RIGHT!

*BOOM*

The other teams head to the mech, Boa and Leone hunting the Prime Minister and everyone else handles the soldiers as Y/N walks through the streets of the empire.

Esdeath: You come alone.

Y/N: Yes I have.

She sees his raise his fist as they were coated in a white like sphere.

Esdeath: So this is your true strength. To think you hid this from me for so long even when we fought a lot.

Y/N: You don't have to do this. You don't have to fight for them.

Esdeath: Not much of a choice anyways. I gone this far, and I can't stop now.

She draws her sword as the ground shook beneath Y/N.

Esdeath: I've always believed that what I'm doing is natural. There's nothing wrong with the strong surviving and the weak perish. It was my whole life.......and yet I'm questioning everything now all because of you.

Najenda: 'Something has changed.'

Najenda was surprised to hear the words coming out of the general's mouth.

Esdeath: The motives behind my ideologies are broken by your mere existence. For the first time........I don't know what the future holds. What I want to do. What's the point when in the end I'm going to just die alone with no one by my side? No soldiers, family, or even friends.........for the first time I don't strive for the hunt. The never ending hunger for bloodshed being quenched.......this feeling is strange.

Najenda: You don't have to fight then. We can work-

Esdeath: But this war has yet to end. *grin* I still want to fight! So if you want to stop me.........you're going to have to defeat me first! Don't think I won't try to kill you. Even you Y/N.........

She gripped her blade tightly as Y/N grabbed his soul katana and held it in his left hand as they faced each other off.

Y/N: Najenda evacuate everyone from the area. My devil fruit is extremely destructive.

Najenda: We already have and more.

Y/N: Good. Are you ready?

Esdeath: Of course I am!

Esdeath: WEISSSCHNABEL-
