???: An upper moon?

???3: Y-Yes! M-My friend didn't make it, and two people are fighting the upper moon!

???4: Is that so. Then we must assist them! I-

*BOOM*

Their movements were a blur, trees sliced in half though the demon slayers could see Y/N clashing with the upper moon as they dodged and weaved through each other's attacks x

Akaza: Nice NICE! Fast, strong, skilled....it's a shame you don't want to a demon.

Y/N: Never asked AND I NEVER WILL!

*BOOM*

Akaza: As a demon you have so much time to train! Why don't you take the of-

*SLICE*

His eyes narrow as Y/N barely managed to slice through his thigh as it heals a lot slower than usual though fist and blade clashed.

Akaza: 'I better be wary of that blade. Each cut takes a considerable amount of time to heal.'

Y/N: 'He's fast. From his tone of voice he's realizing the damage I can do to him with the soul split katana. However that won't kill him-'

*CLANG*

His sword was maneuvered out his hand as the demon reels his fist back.

Akaza: DON'T DIE ON ME HU-

*BOOM*

His head shot back, blood trickling down his face as he had a dumbfounded look on his face.

Akaza: 'His fists?'

*CRACK*

Y/N catches his punch before headbutting him hard and kicking him away as he slides back.

Akaza: *grin* Now this got a lot more interesting! Tell me, what's your name?

Y/N: Y/N.

He enters a karate stance, intriguing the demon as he does the same with a different one.

Akaza: You know you can't kill me.

Y/N: I know. But I can delay you for as long as I can.

Akaza: 'Wait......Where's the girl-'

*BOOM*

Pyrrha suddenly emerges and rams him with a shield, knocking him back as he dodges the swipes of her spear.

Akaza: *grin* Good....VERY GOOD!

*SWIPE*

Akaza: Are you sure you can hit me?

He unleashes a barrage of punches, battering Pyrrha's shield as she pushes forward to match his assault with her swipes.

*TOSS*

She tosses her shield, missing Akaza-

*BOOM*

And Y/N slams his fist into his guard before tossing the shield back and they wail on the demon to prevent him from fighting back.

Akaza: 'I never NEVER MET SOMEONE, MUCH LESS 2 PEOPLE WHO CAN PHYSICALLY CONTEST WITH ME WITHOUT NICHIRIN BLADES! IT EXCITES ME!!!'

*BOOM*

He punches the ground, knocking the two of them back as he jumps into the air.

Akaza: Destruction Death: Air Type!

*BOOM*

Y/N immediately tucks in, resisting the first few shockwaves while Pyrrha protected herself with her shield-

Y/N: DON'T GET TOO COCKY!

*BOOM*

Akaza looked in amazement as Y/N zooms around jumping from tree to tree at blinding speeds as he smiles.

Akaza: IMPRESSIVE! IF YOU'RE A DEMON YOU CAN EVEN BE MORE POWERFUL THAN YOU ARE RIGHT NOW!

Y/N: I'LL PASS ON THE OFFER!

*WHOOSH*

Akaza dodges a kick and knocks Y/N back with several punches though a spear skewers his chest and Pyrrha drop kicks him through a tree as they once again traded blows.

Y/N: 'WE'RE HALFWAY THERE!'

*SLICE*

Y/N opted to use a combination of hand to hand combat and his massive katana to conserve energy while Pyrrha opts to do the same, the two attacking in a quick but perfect synch as the two sides learned and adapted to the other.

Akaza: You know karate too?

*BAM*

Y/N: Of course! However, I can see you're very much more experienced in martial arts.

*BAM*

A fist was driven into his gut though Pyrrha and Y/N simultaneously uppercut the demon through the air as they take a breather.

Y/N: For some reason he's going more easier onto you.

Pyrrha: I can see that. It's like he's purposely holding back on me more. Perhaps we can use that to our advantage.

*BOOM*

Akaza: DO YOU THINK YOU CAN LAST LONG ENOUGH TILL THE SUN RISES?!

Y/N: YES!

*BAM*

Y/N: I CAN!

He throws the soul split katana onto the ground before drawing Playful Cloud as he held it forward.

Akaza: Oh? A new weapon?

Y/N: I'll admit you're starting to get the better of me in hand to hand. It can't hurt to switch up!

Akaza: *grin* An interesting weapon I see! NOW COME!

*BOOM*

The river didn't even stop the two from fighting as Pyrrha provides support whenever she can, Akaza studying Y/N's staff with fascination as he allows himself to be hit.

Akaza: 'Fascinating! Even after fighting me for so long he's still going strong!'

*BOOM*

???: WHERE'S THE DEMON-

*BOOM*

Y/N breaks the bones of the demon with a well placed punch before headbutting the next punch and Pyrrha kicks him away.

Akaza: 'Wait hashiras?'

Droplets of blood poured down Y/N's head though he had a lot still going on along with Pyrrha though they turn to finally notice the people watching them.

Akaza: 'Shit! The two are already a handful even without Nichirin blades. Now there's 3 hashiras! I-'

He lost focus as the hashiras and Y/N and Pyrrha immediately jumped him. It was already fun last time but Y/N and Pyrrha were genuinely pushing him. Now he had no time to play offensive or defense as he was swamped from all sides with dozens of attacks.

Akaza: 'THERE-'

Y/N slams the fire hair guy's head down as the demon was slashed apart.

Y/N: You ok?

Rengoku: I could've dodged!

Y/N: I panicked for a moment there.

Rengoku: *grin* It's fine.

He had a serious look on his face as they charge in. Minutes pass by, and Y/N could see the sun beginning to rise as Akaza panics.

Akaza: 'THE SUN'S RISING!'

*BOOM*

He unleashes his strongest shockwave, knocking everyone out the vicinity and damaging many of them as he tries to run-

*GRAB*

Y/N: YOU'RE NOT GETTING AWAY FROM ME!

Before he could react Y/N flips him onto the ground and he holds him in a chokehold with his legs wrapped tightly around his and an arm grabbing his with a death grip.

Akaza: DAMNIT! LET GO OF ME-

*GRAB*

Pyrrha was bleeding from her head, her aura already exhausted but she grits her teeth as she stabs through Akaza's other arm and held him down as he struggles.

*BAM*

Y/N: YOU'RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE YOU HEAR ME?!

Akaza: GET OUT MY WAY-

*STAB*

The boy with the mark on his forehead thrusts his blade through Akaza's eye, stabbing through his head as he helped hold him down.

Akaza: NO!

*STAB*

???: HOLD HIM DOWN!

Y/N: YOU THINK I'M NOT TRYING TO?!

Akaza shakes violently, the ground rumbling beneath him as the sunlight was reaching his position as he screams.

Akaza: AAAAAAAHHHHHHH-

Hakuji?

He stopped screaming, the sun eventually shining down as he slowly withers away though stared off into the sky.

Akaza: Y/N is it?

Y/N: Yeah.

Akaza: The sun's really beautiful.

Y/N: I know.

Akaza: Hmph. Don't you dare die.

Y/N nods, and he lets out a satisfied sigh before dissolving with his remains scattered in the wind.

???: Are you ok?

Y/N: *pant* I fought that....demon for an hour! You think?!

???2: An hour? With no Nichirin blade?

Y/N: Me and Pyrrha aren't exactly from around here you know.

Pyrrha: *pant* Y-Yeah we aren't.

Y/N: Gotta say the demon was strong. In a war of endurance and attrition he would've won but I took advantage of the fact it was close to sunrise so I could stall till then.

???3: A good strategy I must say.

Y/N: What's your name?

Rengoku: Kyojuro Rengoku! The Flame Hashira!

Y/N: I'm.....guessing you're water right? The movement's like water.

Giyu: Giyu Tomioka. Yes I am.

Shinobu: *smile* Shinobu Kocho.

Y/N: Am I in trouble?

Shinobu: Depends. It's not everyday someone can fist fight an upper moon demon for an entire hour.

Y/N: I do have my sword Uh.......wait where-

Pyrrha: Here. There's the staff too.

Shinobu: *curious* Quite the weapon I must say.

Y/N: I'm learning to use it.

Shinobu: And you'll be coming with us.

He was helped up and immediately led out the area along with Pyrrha who grabbed both her weapons.

Y/N: 'First fight and we fought like we knew each other.'

Pyrrha: 'Our teamwork was impeccable. Even I never fought this well before in team matches in Mistral.'

Shinobu: Is your head ok?

Pyrrha: *chuckle* Don't worry it's fine.

Y/N: Whew! I'm exhausted.....

Rengoku: 'He's winded.....but to think he had managed to best an upper moon without a breathing technique or a Nichirin blade even.'
