Karn POV
"Do you really not know what I am asking about, Aditya?" She raises her eyebrows, looking down at my half laid down form.
I sigh. Oh goddess! Full name?
I knew this was coming, but what do I tell her now?
Should I talk about it or not? Because at the end of the day, it is her secrets and her stories. Can I share it?
Even bigger question, should I be the one to share it?
But this is Dadi, yaar! What can I tell her?
She will catch me, instantly, if I lie.
"The Prince Of Salwa was harassing her verbally, through the letters and I just gave him a piece of my mind." I admit, slowly to her.
"And what did this giving a piece of your mind actually entitle?" She questions.
"I sent him a letter." I reply, vaguely.
When she keeps staring at me with un- relenting fever, I sighed.
"I threatened him, by the authority of Hastinapur's prince."
Dadi stared at me moments before slapping me on the head.
"What is wrong with you, Adi?"
"Hey!" I protest.
"That was the most idiotic thing to do." She shakes her head, at me.
"I have raised you and you turn out to be such a prat." She mumbles.
"Excuse me?" My mouth falls open. "I heard that!"
"You were meant to!" She rolls her eyes.
"Sweetheart!" I pout.
"Stop doing that!" She chides. "And why in the name of Shiva did you do that?"
"I care for her, sweetheart!"
"Wonderful way to care for her, you practically slapped the trust she had in you, back in her face." She continues further, getting up from her place on the bed and starts to pace in front of me.
"What -" I begin but she talks over me.
"She trusted you so much to even tell her about all this. And you do that?" She looks at me, like I just told that I killed her pet or something.
"Ok, wait. Before all that, Aditya, tell me the whole story behind this." She says as she comes to stop in front of her.
"A few years ago, the Prince of Salwa wanted to marry her because she seemed like some prized wife to him. Because of her beauty and a smarts." I tell her a small summary of the situation.
"What an idiot!" Dadi shakes her head. "And then?"
"Did I say, he is ten years older than us?" I question.
"And he treated her like a shit back when they were young."
"What did she do about it?" Dadi questions.
"Snapped at him when we were face to face. And ignored him otherwise." I grumble out.
"Exactly, she just wants to ignore him." She says. "Why did you do it?"
When I remain silent she probes again. "Adi?"
"Because even now, he is harassing her and I care for her, ok? How can I leave her in such a circumstance? I had to do something, right?" I get up and walk to the window in the room, looking out. "I love her. She is my best friend. I cannot let her deal with such a big problem all by herself, right? What am I? A monster? I would have helped any girl in such a place. Just that because it was Ananya, I did the first thing that came to me mind. I could not bear to think about it all. She does not need to be treated like this. She is a born princess, who has to be treated like a queen."
"Then make her your queen." Dadi says.
"Huh?" I whirl around, looking at her, wondering if I heard her correct.
"You love her, right Adi?" She raises an eyebrow.
I laugh a little afraid of where this conversation was suddenly heading, "Sweetheart, she is my best friend, of course, I love her."
"Uh huh! You know what exactly I mean." She starts to walk towards me.
"What do you mean." I wince lightly as my voice sounds squeaky.
Shit! That should not have happened! What the hell! What do I do now?
"Do not act smart with me, I am your grand mom!" She reprimands me.
"I know!" I sing. "And I love you because of it!"
"Do not change the subject, Aditya!" She chides.
And I pout. "I am mourning! Do not scold me. "
"You drove her away, now what are you mourning about?" She sniffs.
I fall back in to on of the chair and continue to pout, sulking.
It really is bad. First, she fights with me and now, Dadi is not ready to listen to me. She is supporting her only. Why do I land in these situations?
My gaze wanders from the room, to the look outside the room, Today is such a nice weather, and I am stuck here.
Those other prince's must be enjoying. Huh, I am envious of them. They all have such chilled- out parents. But whatever, I love my papa and sweetheart.
"What did she mean when she said that she was leaving a day after tomorrow, that was a little later but because you angered her she is leaving early?" Dadi asks suddenly from my right.
"Are! She is leaving, that is what!" I answer.
I got whacked in reply.
"Fine." I sigh, dramatically.
"It is her birthday, a day after tomorrow is her birthday. So, she was supposed to spend half her day with us and other half with her family."
"Her birthday!?" Dadi almost shrieks.
"Yes." I nod.
And I am whacked, once again.
"Aye!" I protest. "Stop treating me like a punching bag!"
"When did you plan to tell us that it was her birthday, a day after tomorrow, huh, Adi?" She asks, her disappointment evident in her voice.
Oh Ho! What did I do?
But then the sacrifice had to be made.
Oh Mahadev! Help me.
Why am I being used as Bali ka Bakra since the morning, where did the sun rise from today? Why me, oh lord? Why me!
"She is your best friend you say, did you not want to throw a party in the honor of her birthday? What kind of friend are you? And what does even go on in that stupid head of yours?" Dadi starts to lecture me, once again. And I sigh softly.
Why, Anna? Why? What did I do to deserve this?
Yes, I know I kind of dig my own grave. But it is not fair, right?
"Oye!" Dadi pokes me in the arm.
"Ouch!" I exclaim rubbing the hurt area. "Sweetheart!"
"Stop being a git Adi. And go talk to the girl." She orders.
"But she left!" I exclaim.
She turns to me, with an expression that said, 'Do I look like I am kidding?'
"I will go tomorrow." I grumble.
"Good." She nods appreciating.
"And in the mean- while, you can make preparations for her birth day party."
"What?" I say surprised. "All alone?"
"Go ask help from the other, Princes of Hastinapur." She shrugs.
"There are hundred and five of them."
"Six." Dadi corrects me.
"Six?" I frown.
"Hmm." She nods. "Hundred Kauravas. Five Pandeva's. And a half- brother of the Kauravas, Yuyutsu."
"Half- brother?" I frown. "I have a cousin half- brother?"
"Half nephew, yes!" She nods as she takes a sip from her glass of water.
"And why do I feel that there is more in the story, then you are letting me on."
"Do you tell me things?" She raises an eyebrow at me. "Why should I tell you?"
"Come on! Sweetheart!" I pout.
"Not going to work, Adi." She shakes her head laughing. "Now, go prepare for my future grand- daughter- in- laws, birth day party."
"Sweetheart!" I shriek as I am thrown out of the room to prepare for her future grand- daughter- in- law's birthday party.
Let's go look for these devil of my nephews!
Ugh! It even sounds so absurd.

How was the update for the day?
Raj Mata Satyavati puts him on the place, huh?
He was being all pouty and moody, right?
What do you think of Raj Mata Satyavati's reaction, to the whole thing?
Do you think he regrets doing it?

Do you think, there will be a party?
What kind of party will it be?
Do you think, Raj Mata Satyavati had a plan, because she is sending Karn to the other Princes?
