Third POV

The Youngsters of the palace were all sitting in the garden, kind of spread out, but still under the cool shade of the large banyan tree.
The light blowing wind was soothing, to the hot temperature around them.

They had been thrown out of the palace by the elders because, I quote, 'These bumbleheaded buffoons were making noise and wasting oxygen rather than being of use to anyone.'

"No way!" Prince Karn shrieked suddenly.
Everyone around them turned to stare at the two best friends who had been whispering moments ago.

Prince Karn looked ..... freaked out?
And Princess Ananya looked mildly amused.

What happened to the two of them?

"You know it will be a disaster." Prince Karn sounded like he was protesting.
The only reply he got from Princess Ananya was a small hum as she continued to play with two plates of grass. She seemed to be tying it and then untying it? Weird!

"Why are you being so nonchalant about this whole ordeal?" Prince Karn really seemed freaked out.

What made him freak out like this?

"You worry too much." Princess Ananya waved it off.

"I worry too much?" Prince Karn in all shrieked.
"You know the situation very well too."

"Aye!" Princess Ananya seemed annoyed. "They are well aware of the situation. If it is still happening, it means Vishnu Vallabh is making it happen. Who am I to intervene in it?"

"I cannot believe this." Prince Karn says exasperated, shaking his head.

"What happened, Badi Bon? Dada Karn?" Princess Subhadra questions.

"Anni here, is planning our early funeral." Prince Karn replies.

"Stop being over dramatic." Princess Ananya rolls her eyes.
"It is nothing, Chutanki. Do not worry yourself with it."

Princess Subhadra shrugs and turns to look at Princess Dushala. Having silent conversations through eyes.

Silence was restored in to the site and everyone was busy in their own mindless things, whispering as they wondered what the small show of moments ago was off.

"I will be returning back." Princess Ananya declares playing with a dagger that seemed to have appeared out of nowhere.

"To Dwarka?" Princess Subhadra asks, she perked up, she was tad bit excited.

"No." Princess Ananya shakes her head.

The Prince's look at each other, confusion clearly highlighting their faces.
Where would she go if not Dwarka?

"Then where?" Princess Dushala enquires.

"I am going to live with my Ma." She answers, not answering her, completely.

"But. But." Prince Karn splutters. "You did not say!"

"I just did tell you." Princess Ananya points out.

"You should have said earlier." Prince Karn protests.

"Why?" Princess Ananya raises an eyebrow in question.

"Because."

"What Because?" She questions, looking amused out of the whole ordeal.

"I am your best friend." He objects.

"So, that is why I told you my final decision." Princess Ananya shrugs.

"This is not done, yaar!" He still complains on.

"Life is rarely fair, best friend!" Princess Ananya smirks at him.

Prince Karn just huffs in reply.
He really seemed to have fallen in a bad mood.

But what the reason really behind is what not clear to any of the prince's.

-- Time Skip --

Everyone was seated in the dining room, for the morning breakfast. It was a new rule that Raj Mata Satyavati made. Everyone in the palace needs to have the breakfast and dinner together. And yes, that includes the ladies.

But surprisingly Princess Ananya was still not here and Karn was sitting on the edge of his seat, near the door. It was as if he would jump and run out of the room at the first chance he would get.
He was also being impatient. Nobody except Raj Mata and Maha Mahim Bishma had seen this side of him, and thus, it confused them to no ends.

"Aditya!" Raj Mata Satyavati calls out.

"Sorry, sweetheart!" Prince Karn apologizes, as he stops bouncing his leg.

"Where is she?" Raj Mata asks.
Prince Karn simply shrugs in answer. Making her look at him suspiciously.

"I for once do not believe you." Raj Mata Satyavati declares.

"She must be somewhere around." Karn waves it away.

"Then why is she not here?" Maha Mahim Bishma joins in the interrogation.

"Is the breakfast done? Can I leave?" Prince Karn asks instead. "Please?"

"What happened, Karn?" Raj Mata asks seriously.
There is something wrong and he does not want to share it. But why?

But before they could get an answer the sound of someone running around the hallways could be heard. Someone was aggressively running towards the dinner room and heading straight for them.

The door of the room banged open and Princess Ananya walked in, she had a murderous rage in her eyes. They were practically spewing fire.

"HOW DARE YOU!" Princess Ananya cried out; her eyes were set on Prince Karn, only. She did not care of the others at that moment.

Every one in the room jumped in surprise, they were neither expecting this nor ready for it.
It was just so sudden. So only one thought went all along, What happened? How bad was it?

"Annie, listen to me." Prince Karn jumped on his feet as he walked towards her. Or at least he tried to.

"Oh no, you do not move!" Princess Ananya pushed him back in to the chair standing directly above him. "How could you do this, Karn? How dare you?"

"Annie -" Prince Karn begins, but Princess Ananya does not let him speak, she cuts him off.

"Do not Annie me," Princess Ananya snarls. "You know I never wanted it to happen. And still, you, did it?"

"Annie, try to understand my perspective." Prince Karn protests.

"Oh, to hell with your perspective." Princess Ananya screams, she had her hand on Karn's chest. "It is about me, Karn. Not about you."

"But I wanted to do that for you." Prince Karn protests.

"Oh! you did!" Princess Ananya's face twists into something weird.
"You played just the role of a 'Prince', for me. What do you want me to do now? Kiss your feet? Thank you, by kneeling."

"Annie -"

"YOU!" She shrieked over his words. "You proved just what royals are. You did that one thing that I hated from every royal."
Her words were heavy they seemed to have a deep source beneath them.

"Annie, I did not mean to." Prince Karn sounded sad with his words.

"And still you did." Princess Ananya pulls away from him.
"You knew very well that I hated the royals using their power for getting things done, by you went ahead and just did the same thing, Prince Karn."

She spat the last two words on his face as she moved back.
A look of desperation and sadness filled Prince Karn's face. He seemed distressed. Worried about whatever he did and the way Princess Ananya was reacting to the same.

There was something serious that happened between the two.
Every one could conclude by the emotions on both of their faces very easily.

"Ananya!" He looked broken. It really must have hurt to hear something like that from her. "Look at it my way, please?"

"I do not care about your way, Prince." Princess Ananya snaps. "All that really matters is that I never wanted this to happen, which you were very well aware of yet chose to do it! What do you think I am a damsel in distress?"

"You are my best friend, Ananya." Prince Karn cries.
"I always wanted the best for you! I never want to hurt you."

"Congratulations! You did it very well without wanting to!" Princess Ananya says, sarcastically congratulating him.

"But I did what I had to." Prince Karn still gripes.

Princess Ananya slams her hand on the table, making everything on the table to rattle. "DAM IT! KARN, I DO NOT CARE BECAUSE IT HURT ME MORE THAN WHAT THEY DID IN SIX YEARS! WHY DOES THIS SINGLE THING CANNOT GET IN THIS BIG HEAD OF YOURS! You did it, Karn, hurt me more than they ever could dream of doing. You hurt me here, directly here." She points at his chest.
