"You can all hear right?" Rojin said with a serious voice through the voice call.

"Yes sir!" We all responded uniformly.

"Good." Rojin's voice came again. "The hovercraft will be dropping all of you off on the roof of the royal day inn in 1min and 42 seconds. Your first and only job will be neutralizing the drones. Leave the rescuing to rescue team. Do you all understand?"

"Yes sir!" we all replied again.

Compared to the hovercraft me and Kuro arrived by, this one was much smaller, and much packed. Considering the 4 of us were wearing full body metal suits, with weapon ready in hand.

"Kuro, stay on the building and provide tactical cover." Rojin commanded.

"Understood." Kuro answered, her voice betraying no sign of emotion.

"You three, get to the ground asap. And use lure formation." Rojin commanded again.

"Understood!" the three of us responded in union.

A brief moment later, the hatch at the end opened, and the plane came to about a 30ft from the roof of the targeted building. Isa was the first to jump off, followed by Hakuya, then me.
30ft fall impact felt nothing to me. Heck I can do that without my MS, which is one of the perks of having 4 metal limbs now. I didn't get to see how Kuro landed, as she just appeared out of nowhere behind me like a ninja, well she kind of is one now...

"100 legion drones and 1 goliath drone is detected down on 5th street, 404 meters away from you. Get moving!" Rojin yelled.

I peered down from the railing and saw it was about a 100ft drop, which is still nothing to me inside an MS now. Before I could even react, Hakuya skipped over the railing with one hand and began to fall through mid air. When she landed a second later, it wasn't one of those typical loud crushing giant robot landings you see in movies, but rather a soft elegant one like a pedal swinging in the wind...
Next was Isa, as she jumped over the railing in one great stride, and just as she was about to hit the ground, two streams on blue flare lighted up from her back, propelling her upwards for a second before extinguishing, and finally landing with a moderate tap.
Then it was my turn again, without hesitation I jumped off and landed in crouching tiger position. I pretty much felt no impact, as I quickly straightened myself and caught up with the rest of the gang, which were ahead of me; running.

"Rin, can you hear me?" I tapped my feed into a private voice chat.

"Hai, I can hear you." Rin replied with a laid-back voice.

"Good. Activate gravity skates and CES (Condensed energy shield) at stand by." I commanded, a second later my foot hovered about the ground about 30 cm. Then I began to stroll forward like a casual speed ice skater, and within a matter of seconds, I caught up with the two and had to quickly slow down again. We then made a sharp detour around the block, and there in front of us were a solid brick wall of drones, with guns ready to shoot us into holed cheese.

"Enemies 103 meters north! Lure formation start! Hakuya draw the attention, you two stay on separate sides." As Rojin barked these commands, the drones began opening fire on us.

And it wasn't a bullet rain, it was a bullet storm. Me and Isa reacted quick by taking shelter behind separate buildings to each side. Hakuya wasn't so lucky as she took the full gale of the bullet storm. But instead of becoming holed cheese, Hakuya went full matrix style, as she outstretched one hand and all the bullets stopped about 10 inches away from her body and were just hanging there in the air.

"Holy shit! What was that?" I yelled in my private feed to Rin.

"Gravity manipulator engine." Rin answered. "It's rare even among generation 5 MS."

"Hey! How come I don't get one!?"

"Stop complaining like a whinny brat! You are already using the world's most advance, one and only generation 6 MS!"

"Huh. You're actually right..." I bobbed my head up and down.

"She's backing down! Kard get ready!" Rin yelled.

"I know! I know!" I said, drawing my blade.

My blade was this 5ft long, sleek bad ass silver blade that glowed in a bright orange for the edge part. Isa on the other hand, used this long white electric spear, which reminded me of a certain god of a mythology who uses a lightning rod...

At this point, I could see Hakuya slowly backing up, then retreated with a sudden leap backwards, causing the legion to follow her. Their footsteps was like one of actual legion, thousands upon thousands of dreaded steel foot stamped against the earth, and each time they took a step, I could feel the very ground beneath me vibrate in fear. In a matter of seconds, the first legion peeked over the walls, followed in sync with Rojin's voice:

"ATTACK!"
