You're always gonna be my best friend!-Naekusaba

For my friend KatSHSLWorthlessTM, it's her birthday today and this is my birthday present to her.

And this is my first time writing as Mukuro and/or Naegi, so sorry if it sucks.

Naegi walked down the hallways in Hope's Peak with a sigh as he walked up to the rooftop. After getting caught up in an argument with Kyoko and Togami, he wanted a break from the class and get some fresh air. As he pushed open the door up to the roof, a figure slowly into sight. Mukuro was leaning on the railing surrounding the rooftop, her short black hair blowing in the wind as her eyes looked around the town. Naegi softly closed door and walked up to the railing next to her, the girl looking at him as he approached her. A soft blush came through over her freckles as she moved to the side a bit to keep distance. The boy looked over at her curiously before resting his head on his hand and looking at the city in front of them. It was somewhat late in the afternoon, so the sky was an orangish-red with the building's peaking over the horizon with the white lights on, it was really beautiful. Naegi opened his eyes as he realized that anything could happen between the two of them, the possibilities were endless. "So what brought you up here?" He asked, trying to make a small talk between them.

"Huh?" She asked, looking at him with slight confusion as he brought her out of her train of thought with his sudden question.

"O-Oh, nothing." He said with a small chuckle of nervousness as he rubbed his head and looked back at the town in front of them. He hurriedly searched for something to say to her to break the awkward silence in between them. "I-It's pretty out here, isn't it?" He asked after thinking after a few minutes. Mukuro looked over at Naegi before looking back to look at the illuminated city.

"Yea, it is really pretty..." The girl said, her blue eyes being filled with the orange light and her freckles standing out more in the light.

"Hey Mukuro, you don't seem to talk to people much..." Naegi said, looking at Mukuro, who softly glanced at him from the side.

"Is that a problem?" She asked, slight worry in her voice. Naegi shook his head worriedly and quickly made up an excuse for his earlier observation.

"N-No, not at all. It's just that you don't seem like you have much friends..."

"O-Oh..." Mukuro said quite sadly, looking down over the railing.

"I-It's not a bad thing really." Naegi reassured her with a small smile. He looked at Mukuro and smiled a bit. "I could help you open up to people, it'll help me get to know you better and you'll won't be as shy."

Mukuro looked at Naegi and smiled a bit at him before nodding. "Thank you." She said calmly. The two sat in silence before they both left, talking as they went home. The next day, Naegi waited outside of Hope's Peak for Mukuro, smiling at her as he saw her amongst the crowd. He smiled at her and waved at her, making a pink blush form under her freckles. He led her inside and into their classroom. Since assigned seats are nonexistent, Naegi had Mukuro sit next him in class. It wasn't long until more people came into the classroom, and most of these people came to talk to Naegi, in which Mukuro shriveled back into her shy shell and watched them come and go. Noticing this, Naegi smiled at her and held his hand out to her, making her look at him in confusion. "Come on, let's go talk to people." He said with people. Mukuro looked at his hand before nodding and take his hand.

Naegi took Mukuro around and brought her to every one of his friends, having them communicate with the shy girl. At first, she was quiet and saying a bit at a time, but as they continued on she started to become more open with everyone. She'd laugh some jokes and relate to some things, which made both of them happy. At the end of the day when they were walking home, they were quiet just as before. When Naegi waved at Mukuro to go home, he felt her grab onto his wrist. He turned around and saw her looking down at the ground. "Mukuro, is something-"

"I wanted to thank you for today." Mukuro said, her face red. He could tell that she was struggling to find the words to say to him as opened and closed her mouth. She looked at him and kissed his cheek pulling away from him and starting to walk herself home. Naegi smiled at her and started to walk home, the orange sunset setting behind them.
