"Hey, I need to show you something later, Aoko."

That was the only thing that she got from Kaito earlier that day. He didn't say why or what he was going to show her, not even the slightest hint. That wasn't the only thing that upset Aoko, but it was the fact that he sent her that and not where they were going to meet or what time, absolutely nothing from him.

Aoko let out a small sigh as she started to head home from after hanging out with her friends from school all day. She looked at her phone screen to see if she had gotten anything, which she got nothing but an empty message box. "Goodness, what does that stupid Kaito want me to do?" She mumbled angrily under her breath. Aoko opened the front door to her house and took her shoes off at the door, stepping into the house and letting out a small sigh as she put her stuff away.

"Aoko is that you!" A familiar voice called not too far away from her.

"Yea, I'm here Dad!" She yelled back, going to where she heard her father's voice come from. Aoko opened up the door to her father's room and took a small step in, looking at her father as he grabbed his stuff to get ready for work. "Did you need something, Dad?" She asked, looking at her father as he left his room.

"Yes, I need to give something to you real quick before I leave." He said, going into the dining room and grabbing something off the table, turning around and handing it to his daughter behind him. "Your friend Kaito came by earlier today and asked me to give it to you."

"Oh, okay," Aoko said, taking the letter from her father and looked at him as he slid past her and headed towards the door to leave. Once the front door shut completely, Aoko ran to her room and collapsed onto her bed, her fingers tearing open the thin paper in her hands, her brown eyes reading the letters on the notebook paper inside. It read: "Hey Aoko, It's Kaito here. If you remember, I told you that I needed to show you something. To show you my "surprise", I need you to come to the park at 10:30. I'll see you there."

Aoko let out a small sigh and placed the letter that she had just received on the bedside table and closed her eyes, letting out a small sigh. At least I know where and when that stupid Kaito.... Aoko thought to herself, sitting up in her bed with a sigh. She grabbed her phone and looked at the time, disappointment sinking into her chest when she saw that it was almost 5 in the afternoon. The girl let out a sigh and sat up, moving the hair out of her face, getting out of her bed and going back to the kitchen. Her eyes gazed upon the area before another small sigh exited her lips and her eyes softly closed.

Aoko grabbed the letter that her father gave her and put it into her bag, going around and turning off all the lights before she closed the front door as she left. "That stupid Kaito better be there..." She softly muttered under her breath as she walked away. Aoko went to the park, looking around at what was close, thinking that it would've been best if she'd stayed close. So, she walked around and peered into small nearby shops, often looking at the time as the sun kept getting lower and lower and the sky got darker. The girl looked outside, for the umpteenth time before she put down what she was holding and started to head to the park. It was 10:25 when she arrived, which made her feel slightly relieved.

The whole park was practically empty, some families were leaving with their children and others were getting ready to leave. Aoko shifted a bit as she cautiously made her way to a bench under a street light. As more and more people left, she started to get worried and wondered if Kaito was actually going to come. "Where is he....?" She asked herself, getting up from the bench and looked around.

"Aoko!" A familiar voice softly shouted, echoing around the now empty park.

"Kaito?" She asked, looking around the park and wondering where the voice was.

"Aoko, over here!"

The girl ran over to where she heard his voice, hoping that it would go by quickly. When she got to where he was, she froze and her eyes widened in shock. Kaito Kid stood across from her, his white cape swaying in the wind and a mask covering his face. He took a small step towards her, his hand reaching out towards her, Aoko stepping back more. She watched him take his gloved hand and his mask lifting off of his face, a gasp exiting her lips.

"K-Kaito!?"

"Hahaha, hey Aoko." Kaito chuckled, rubbing the back of his head. Aoko looked at him, not sure of what to say or think about this. Her mouth opened, but no sounds or words came out.

"W-What...?" She finally said, nearly getting the words out, "Y-You're Magic-"

"Yup, I'm Magic Kaito." He said with a big smile on his face. "I'm also the one tricking your old man..."

"But... why?" Aoko asked, somewhat angered and confused by this whole thing. Kaito swung his leg bak and forth and softly hummed while he thought.

"It felt like I had to be this."

"Huh?"

Kaito explained everything to her, which included the secret door that lead him to this. Aoko took a minute to process all of this, nodding softly and exhaling a small sigh. She took a small step back and starting to walk away, turning back to look at him and stopping.

"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone." She said softly. Kaito smiled at the girl and put a hand on her shoulder, softly kissing her cheek before running off.

"Thanks Aoko!" He yelled, waving at her as he ran away. Aoko's face reddened and smiled softly as he left, starting to walk home.
