The trial room was quiet, the surviving students all looking at each other. The pressure that was amongst them was powering, making them all afraid. After a while of the silence between 6 of them, Kaito out a small sigh and smiled to himself, raising his hand into the air. "I did it, I killed Ouma." He said matter of factly.

"Momota-kun...." Saihara said quietly, looking across the room to the man.

"No... You didn't do anything....." Maki then said, her hands gripping tightly on the stand in front of her.

"Harukawa-San...?" Tsumugi asked, her head tilted as she looked at Maki curiously. The other girl didn't say anything back, but instead she let out a choked cry and looked up at Kaito with her eyes full of tears.

"Y-You didn't do anything Kaito!" She yelled, more tears running down her cheeks as looked at him. "You didn't kill Ouma..."

"Harukawa-San?" Kiibo asked, looking at them confused. Everyone looked at Maki, confused as of what she was trying to do, but it was quite obvious. She was doing the same thing Kaede was doing before she was executed.....

Kaito looked at her and gave her a reassuring smile before looking back at them and putting a fist on his chest with pride. "I killed Ouma." He said again, the smile from before still on his face.

"Stop saying that!" Maki yelled, more tars running down her cheeks as she looked at Kaito sadly. She knew that he killed Ouma, she was there and helped him for god's sake! She used her skills as an assassin to help kill him, up until Ouma drunk the only antidote that they had and Kaito reassured her that he was okay.

Kaito looked at her and smiled wider, giving her a happy smile and giving her a thumbs up. "It's okay, Harumaki."

"No it's not! It's not okay!" Maki protested in between cries, slamming her hand on the stand. "You said that last time and it's not okay..." She cried more before using the back of her hand to wipe the falling tears away. She wasn't the only one crying by this, everyone else was visibly upset about this. Himiko put the rim of her hat in front of her face so they wouldn't see her cry, Kiibo was crying crocodile tears, Tsumugi constantly wiped her finger under her eyes as she cried, and  let his tears run down his face. Kaito smiled at them and put his hands on the stand, a small smile still on his face.

"I killed Ouma...." He said once again, closing his eyes softly.

Maki opened her mouth to say something, but before she could say anything Monokuma started laughing.

"Is that all you're going to say?" He asked slyly. Kaito stopped and nodded, looking up across the room at Monokuma.

"Yea, it's the truth after all."

"Then it's Voting Tiiime!" He yelled, laughing a bit after that.

Everyone stopped for a bit and looked at the voting machine in front of them, thinking if they were making a right choice. They all voted after a while, everyone except for Maki, who was staring at hers while silently crying. "Harukawa-San, I know how you feel, but you need to vote..." Tsumugi told her softly, giving her a sympathetic look. Maki opened her mouth to say something, but she closed it entered her vote in while looking back down. Monokuma started laughing once again while he showed the results, the bar next to Kaito's name filled.

"Upupupupupu!~ Just like Kaito said, He killed Kokichi Ouma!!" Monokuma said with joy. Everyone looked down as they walked away from their stands, letting out quiet sobs as they walked towards Kaito. Maki ran up to him and hugged him, holding him tightly as she cried in his chest. He smiled softly at her and gently wrapped his arms around her shaking body. He softly closed his eyes and let a small tear run down his cheek.

"Momota-San..." Kiibo said softly, still crying softly while looking to him. Kaito, who wiped his tears away and looked at them, gave them a smile with a thumbs up.

"You guys can do this..." He said softly, everyone looking up at him. "You guys can beat the mastermind and get outta here!" He said with pride. Saihara looked at him and wiped his tears away and gave him a soft smile.

"Yea... We'll do that..."

"If I had enough MP I could save you..." Himiko said in between sobs, looking up at Kaito. He gave them a big smile before putting his hand in front of his mouth and coughing up blood, which spilled on his shirt and his hand.

"Kaito!" Maki yelled worriedly, going over to his side and putting a gentle hand on his shoulder. Ever since he got sick, Maki has been there for him along with everyone else.

"I'm fine.." He said softly, coughing a bit more and waving his hand. Everyone worriedly looked at him before he stopped and wiped the blood off his chin. He turned to Maki and got to her height, cupping her tears stained cheeks and putting his forehead against hers. She looked into his warm lilac eyes and let out a shaky breath as more tears ran down her face. "You got this okay?" he asked her softly, the girl giving him a small nod and closing her eyes. His thumbs brushed underneath her eyes and wiped away the remaining tears.

"I.. I need you here..." She choked out, looking back up into his eyes and putting her hands over his.

"You'll be fine without me, Harumaki." Kaito whispered softly, holding her shaking hand and pressing it against her cheek. Maki shook her head and closed her eyes tightly while  she cried more.

"I need you here... Please don't leave me..." She cried, gripping his hand tighter. He let her hand go and gently tilted her head up so he can look at her. He caressed his lips with hers, despite him just coughing up blood, which neither of them cared about at the moment. Kauto pulled away and looked at her, holding her hand tightly and gave her a small smile.

"Can you please smile for me, Harumaki?" He asked her softly. Maki looked at him and breathed for a bit before she softly smiled back at him. Kaito pulled away and and gently kissed her forehead, making Maki smile a bit more and a small blush on her wet cheeks. He pulling his right arm out of his jacket and taking it off of his shoulders, draping it on Maki's and smiling at her.

Kaito backed away from everyone and gave them a peace sign before looking at Monokuma a smile. "Let's start the execution."

"No..." Maki said softly, her eyes widening and her hands gripping on his jacket. "Don't go..."

"IIIIt's Execution Tiiime!!" Monokuma yelled, grabbing his mallet and hitting it on the red button in front of him. Kaito started to walk away from everyone as he gave them a wave, walking off. Maki tried to run up to him and go with him before Saihara ran behind her and held her back. She let out a painful cry and tried to get out of his grasp, the both of them crying.

"No..." Maki said softly, trying to get out of Saihara's grasp and reaching out to Kaito.

"Harukawa-san, you have to stay." Tsumugi said sadly, looking at Maki. She ignored her and continued to get out if his grasp.

Maki and Kaito walked outside in the garden, both of them looking up at the starry sky. They held hands while Kaito pointed up at the sky and told her about them. Maki looked at where he pointed, occasionally asking more questions about them or other things that popped in her head. They walked along the sidewalk while they talked a bit and walked around underneath the starry sky. "Hey," Maki said, pointing at a bright star in the sky. "What's that one?" She asked softly.

"That one?" Kaito asked, pointing up in the dark sky where her finger was pointing.

"Yea. that one." She replied, putting her hand down and looking up at the sky. "It looks pretty."

"Pretty like you." Kaito said with a smile. Maki's face flushed a light red and puffed her cheeks out, looking away from him a bit. He chuckled at her embarrassment and kissed her forehead before he looked back at the sky with a smile. "That's Vega, it's the 5th brightest star in the sky and it's the brightest in constellation Lyra." He explained, looking back down at Maki.

"Mmmm..." She hummed, looking back up at the sky before looking back at him. Kaito smiled at her again and wrapped an arm around her thin frame.

"Hey Harumaki?" He asked, looking back up at the sky.

"Yea?"

"Do you think that when we get outta here, we can move into a small house and start a family with only the two of us?" He asked with a smile. Maki's face flushed a light pink before she smiled as well and looked up at the sky again.

"Yea, that would be nice..." Kaito looked down at her and held her tighter against him.

"Then let's get outta here!"

The two laughed a bit before they joined hands and walked back inside the school.

"KAITO!!!"

Kaito turned around and looked at them, smiling at them and giving them a thumbs up i one last time. "Send me off with a smile!" He said, making everyone stop their actions and look at him. Maki looked at him and let the tears run down her cheeks, a small smile growing in her lips. Kaito sat down and smiled at them from inside the small spaceship he was in. "I love you, Harumaki..." He said softly, putting his hand on the window before it started to go up. As the spaceship went into space, a small smile appeared on his lips before he started to cough, falling back onto the floor, his heart stopping. The top of the small space ships stopped and flashed ERROR before it fell back. When it landed and the door opened, his body fell out on the ground with a smile on his slightly bloody lips.

Maki gripped onto the sides of Kaito's jacket that were on her shoulders tightly and fell to the ground while crying. Everyone cried with her, quiet but audible cries of grief. Maki gripped tighter on the jacket as she leaned closer to the floor and let out cries of pain. Kiibo went over to her and crouched down next to her, rubbing her back as they both cried. Monokuma, who was upset that Kaito died before the execution ended, left the trial room.

After a while of the remaining 5 stopped crying and letting their tears out, Maki lifted her head up and looked at the 3 behind her. She glared at them while tears ran down her cheeks. "Whoever is controlling that bastard," She paused, taking her time to look at everyone of them. "I'll kill you for this."  After that, she got up and stormed away, wiping the falling tears away.

Years later, a mother and her daughter walked in a field of grass, a soft breeze blowing in the wind. Although it wasn't the best place after The Tragedy, it was the best that they could find. The girl wore a purple cardigan and a light blue dress, her short hair in ponytails so she could look like her mother. The woman besides her had a red sundress with slight ruffles on the end of her dress with long sleeves and red stockings, a long purple overcoat with a galaxy design inside was on her shoulders.

The small girl by her mother's side had her small hand in hers and looked up at the dark sky while her mother had a smile while looking down at her daughter. The girl stopped, looking at a bright star in the sky, illuminating her small eyes as she looked into the sky with interest. Her mother crouched down her her height as her small arm pointed up at the sky. "Is tha Dada?" She asked, looking at her mother next to her.

"Yea, that's Daddy..." Her mother said, holding her daughter close as she softly kissed her cheek. The little girl laughed, resting her small head on her mother's shoulder.

"Harukawa-San!" A voice called from behind them, making the mother and her daugher look behind them

Maki stood up and looked at Saihara, silently getting his message that he was giving her. She grabbed her daughter's hand and started to go back to the small house that the survivors lives in. Before going in, she turned around and looked at the starry sky, a small tear running down her cheek and she smiled to herself and went inside with Saihara and Himiko
