Happy Valentines, my dear friend- Toxic Candy (Ruruka Ando and Seiko Kimura)

Ruruka sat in the back of the room while looking out the window. She exhaled a sigh as her eye tore away from the light blue sky and leaned her head on her hand and looked around the class with anticipation. Everyone was giving their friends valentines sweets as they laughed together. Ruruka, surprisingly for her, didn't get anything from anyone. Izayoi wasn't there for some reason, in which she forgot about, so as of now she was by herself and alone. There was always Seiko, but she was pretty sure that she hated her because she wouldn't eat her sweets.

Ruruka sighed again as she popped a small macron into her mouth and looked at her classmates. Chisa, Kyousuke, and Juzo were all in a corner exchanging their heart-shaped boxes filled with happy smiles as they exchanged their goodies. Her eyes then glanced over to Seiko, who was sitting nervously in her seat, and she looked at her bag that held a small box for her friend. The girl then got up from her seat, while grabbing the small box, and going over to the shy girl. "Hi Seiko." Ruruka said happily, smiling Seiko joyfully.

"Ah, hello Ruruka." Seiko said with a small smile under her mask. "How are you?"

"I'm fine." The bubbly girl said with a smile. "I have something for you."

"You do..?" Seiko asked her friend curiously. Ruruka smiled and nodded, taking the small box from behind her back and placing it on the girl's' desk with a happy smile still on her lips.

"Open it." She said, rocking back and forth on her heels in anticipation. The other girl nodded and softly took off the ribbon that bound the small box together. Inside was a small little chocolate piece with little strawberry crumbs on the top perfectly, which was expected of the confectionist. Seiko looked at the piece curiously and looked back at her friend, feeling guilty inside for not being able to eat it. Ruruka landed on her feet and smiled at her, a small laugh escaping from her lips. 'Do you like it? I made it just for you."

"Yes... I do..." Seiko said with a small smile underneath her mask, but faded shortly after after realization set it. "But I can't eat it, it'll make me sick if I eat it. I'm sorry Ruruka..."

"Aw, but I made it specifically for you Seiko." Ruruka said sadly, puffing out her cheeks a bit so it didn't look like she was upset with her response. An hour waste for nothing I guess... Ruruka thought sadly, smiling a bit at Seiko again. "Can't you just eat it anyways, a small bit of chocolate won't hurt, right?"

"I wish I could, but I can't eat sugar with the medication I'm taking." Seiko said solemnly, putting the lid back on the chocolate box, looking up at Ruruka again. "B-But to make it up to you-"

"Alright class! Take your seats!" The teacher yelled, clapping her hands as she stood in front of the class. Both Ruruka and Seiko sighed, the timid girl sliding whatever she was taking out bakc into her bag.

"I'm sorry..." Seiko said, looking down at her lap. Ruruka didn't want to h=make her more upset than she already was, so she gave her a happy smile again.

"Don't worry, just give it to me later. See you!" She said while she left to go to her seat. Ruruka sat down with a disappointed sigh and put her head back in her hand.

"Hey, where's Sonosuke?" Chisa asked, turning around in her seat to look at Ruruka, looking at her curiously.

"He said that he had something else to do today..." Ruruka said disappointingly.

"Oh, that sucks. I'm sorry to hear that."

"It's fine." Chisa smiled and turned back around in her seat as she looked back at the teacher up front.

The whole class was drawn out by extreme boredom and anticipation. Ruruka glanced over to Seiko every often curiously, wondering what she was going to give her. She obviously was nervous about it, so it could be anything. What if it was-

"Miss. Ando?"

"Yes?" Ruruka asked, being knocked out of her thoughts by the teacher up front.

"Can you please read the next paragraph?"

"Sure." She grabbed her book and looked for where they stopped last. Seiko looked at her friend from across the room and moved her eyes back towards the book they were reading. The whole day, they kept looking at each other curiously, wondering what was going to happen. During when it was lunch, Seiko was going to tell Ruruka what it was, but Chisa came in and dragged her down to the cafeteria to get lunch with her because Munakata and Juzo didn't want to go. After that, all the other chances were taken from them. Daisaku sat with Seiko and Ruruka then refused to sit then only because he was sitting there. The teacher came back about 30 minutes later and started class again. The class seemed to go faster than before since the day was almost gone.

When they day ended, Ruruka sighed and grabbed her bag from the side of her desk and started to walk out with the rest of her classmates that didn't have cleaning duty. "I guess I'll never know what Seiko wanted to say." Ruruka said as she walked out the double doors of Hope's Peak.

"Ruruka, wait!" A voice called out from behind, making the girl stop and look behind her. Seiko ran up to her and pulled her black down down her chin so she could paint and regain her lost energy back. "I-I wanted to give you this..." She said, giving her a small black box.

"Oh, thanks Seiko." Ruruka said with a smile, going over to a bench near them and sat down. She peeled the clear tape from the edges off and opened the lid gently, placing it besides her. Inside the box was a bar of chocolate with pink icing that spelled out for: Ruruka in nice cursive writing with little decorations on the edges. Ruruka looked at it in awe, her eyes threatening for tears to fall down her cheeks.

"I-I know that it's not as good as you can do, but it's the least that I can do..." Seiko said nervously, moving a piece of gray hair behind her ear. "D-Do you like it...?"

Ruruka put the lid on the box and hugged the girl tightly, silent tears running down her cheeks. "Seiko... Thank you, you did enough..." She said with a big smile, pulling away from her friend and laughed a bit. Seiko smiled back at her from under her mask and felt relieved that she liked it. The girl turned around and pulled out the small box that Ruruka gave her earlier, pulling down her mask and looked back at her.

"A little chocolate won't hurt." Seiko said, the two girls eating their chocolate happily and laughing together.
