Chapter 22

I slowly opened my eyes, noticing sunlight pouring in through the windows. I sat up and stretched my arms. Freed and Evergreen were both already up and looked to be fixing some tea.

Freed came over and handed me a cup. I thanked him and took a few sips. I looked over at where Bixlow still slept soundly and smiled, remembering the events of last night.

Bixlow was there with me on the balcony. He kissed me and said he loved me. I never thought I could be so happy in just one little moment. Freed and Evergreen soon finished their tea and took turns getting dressed behind the screen.

After finishing my tea, I quietly went over to Bixlow's bed. I carefully crawled on top of him with my legs on either side of him. I leaned down and pecked his cheek.

"Bixlow, it's morning."

His eyes slowly opened and he looked at me and grinned. "Well good morning to me."

He sat up slightly and planted a quick kiss on my lips. I got off of him, letting him stand. Once Freed and Evergreen were finished, Bixlow and I took turns getting dressed as well.

Before we could even leave the room, the whole place shook beneath our feet. My eyes widened and I quickly realized what was going on.

"It's happening," I mumbled.

With the trio following me, I rushed out of the room and down the halls, hearing people screaming as we went. We ran down to the main floor where there was a huge hole in the wall. Standing in the middle of it...was Coro.

"Nice to see you again, Freya," he said with a sly grin.

I narrowed my eyes at him. "How did you know I was here?"

He chuckled. "With our past attempts failing, Draven told us of a way to lure you in instead. He thought you would have a vision of the disaster we would cause here."

"Why don't you tell Draven to stop messing with my life and leave me alone," I told him in a dark tone.

"You can tell him yourself when we take you to him, unless..."

I watched him approach me with his hands in his pockets and a smirk on his face. "Unless you'd rather make a deal with me instead. Strip for me and I might just let you go."

I scrunched my nose in disgust. "Ugh, as if. I'd much rather just fight you."

He shrugged his shoulders. "Fine. Have it your way."

He backed away and a bunch of wizards from Fallen Angel flooded into the place. Among them, I saw Gwyneira and those twin girls again. The four of us were completely surrounded and outnumbered.

Suddenly, many large groups of people approached and slowly outnumbered the wizards of the dark guild. Looking at the different people, I could see guild marks on some of them.

Blue Pegasus, Lamia Scale, Quatro Cerberus, Mermaid Heel, they were all here among us. One man stepped forward from the others.

"You dark guild wizards forgot about something. This is a tourist hot spot. Even magic users come here. Did you actually think you could do something like this without a fight from all the wizards here?"

A huge battle broke out from there. All of the mages from the other guilds fought alongside us to beat the members of Fallen Angel. I stuck close to my team as we began to clear out the place.

There was magic of all kinds being used. Fire, water, ice, wind, sand, earth, there were so many that I couldn't name them all. One by one, the members of Fallen Angel were defeated, left lying in the rubble that was the remains of the building.

Hearing a loud caw, I turned my head to see a black bird perched up on one of the broken game stands. It stared down at us with a shining blue eye.

I placed a hand on the ground and muttered, "Shadow Pull."

My shadow appeared under Corvus and pulled him into the shadows. He emerged in front of me with several loud caws of surprise. I quickly grabbed the raven's neck and glared into its lacrima eye.

"Draven, stop sending your puppets to do your dirty work! If you want to catch me so badly, then come and get me yourself!"

I released Corvus, letting him fly away. I watched the black bird disappear in the distance. I suddenly felt a hand on my shoulder and turned my head to see Bixlow.

"Come on, Freya, let's head home. We took care of things here."

I nodded and replied, "Okay. Let's get outta here."

The four of us thanked the other wizards that fought with us and left. Once back in Magnolia, Bixlow stopped us in the middle of the street.

"Freed, Evergreen, could you two give us a minute?"

Freed nodded. "Sure."

Evergreen winked at us before following Freed back toward Fairy Tail. Bixlow seemed a bit nervous so I smiled kindly at him.

"What's up, Bixlow?" I asked him.

He seemed to stare at the ground and rubbed the back of his neck. "Uh...well, I was wondering... Do you plan on staying with Evergreen at Fairy Hills?"

I tapped my chin in thought. "Well, I guess I do have enough jewels now to rent an apartment, if I can find any available."

"That's not what I meant, baby," he said with a chuckle. "How would you like to...uh, if you want to...maybe, stay with me?"

I simply blinked at him and he quickly started explaining, "You won't have to pay rent and Evergreen won't have to keep sharing her room at Fairy Hills with you, not that she minds or anything."

I suddenly smiled and laughed lightly. "Alright, I'll move in with you. I'll get my things from Evergreen later. At least we'll be able to spend more time together everyday."

He grinned and snaked his arms around me, pulling me closer to peck my lips. "And that's exactly what I want. To see you even more each day."

He wrapped an arm around my shoulder and guided me back to the guild. We went inside and sat with Freed, Evergreen, and Laxus. We got ourselves a late breakfast and talked a bit.

"Hey, Evergreen, I was thinking of moving out," I carefully told her.

Her eyes widened and she frowned. "Oh? You know I don't mind sharing my room with you, Freya. We have a lot of fun, you and I."

"I-I know. It's just that, now that I'm earning plenty of jewels, I figured I should get out of your hair."

Bixlow suddenly burst into laughter. "What she means is, she's moving in with me!"

Laxus joined his laughter and said, "Well I guess it's for the best! Bixlow can finally get some from one of the prettiest young ladies in Fairy Tail!"

I felt my face heat up in embarrassment and stared down at my lap. I felt Bixlow pull me closer and kiss the side of my head. Evergreen looked at me a bit worried.

"Freya, are you sure about this?" she asked.

I nodded and Freed let out a sigh. "It's her decision, Evergreen, and it's not like she's leaving Magnolia."

"I know," she answered him in an annoyed tone. "We've just become such good friends."

I smiled at her. "Don't worry, we're still gonna see each other here at the guild and we can still go on missions together or just hangout sometimes."

She returned my smile and nodded. "You're right. Besides, you two deserve a lot of alone time now, ever since last night."

She flashed me a mischievous smile and I quickly changed the subject. "I'll get my things from your room in a bit."

She nodded and we continued talking and laughing. We later worked on transporting all my clothes and things to Bixlow's house. By the time we finished that and ate a bit of dinner, the sun was already beginning to set.

Bixlow led me back to his house again and we went inside. I started sorting out my clothes while picking my nightgown.

"So where am I sleeping?" I asked Bixlow.

"Well, you're welcome to sleep with me."

I looked over at him in surprise. "Uh, you sure? I could always just sleep on the couch."

He smirked. "Now what fun would that be? You're sleeping with me."

He came over and wrapped his arms around me, quietly saying, "I hope that's okay with you, baby, because I really don't wanna let you sleep all by yourself."

"By yourself! By yourself!"

I finally smiled and said, "Alright then, I'm gonna get a bath."

I unwrapped his arms from around me, grabbed my clothes, and headed to the bathroom. I soaked in a nice, warm bath, letting myself relax. Once done, I got out, dried off, and got dressed in my nightgown.

When I opened the door, it immediately bumped something. I looked down to see Bixlow sitting in front of the door, rubbing his head where the door hit.

"Bixlow! Were you spying on me?!" I yelled with a frown.

He looked up at me and grinned. "I wouldn't call it spying, more like...catching a peek of your beauty."

I knew my face had turned red and I covered my chest. Bixlow laughed and stood up. He placed his hands on my wrists and gently pulled my arms away.

"Relax, baby, I didn't see anything. Besides, you have no reason to hide. You're beautiful."

I smiled up at him and watched as he grabbed his own clothes and went to the bathroom. I grabbed my plush wyvern and laid comfortably on the bed. I quietly laid there on my side, waiting for Bixlow to get done while feeling myself grow tired.

After awhile, I felt the bed sink in behind me. I turned my head to see Bixlow. He grinned at me before kissing my head and pulling the covers over us.

"Goodnight, baby."

"Goodnight, Bixlow."
