Another Prophecy

Sorry it's been so long since my last update. School and high school applications have been a mess, so..... Ya

"Well..." Chiron started, his hooves shifted nervously, "There's been another prophecy."

"No." The demigod we'd found in the ice said. I guess his name was Percy.

Everyone stared at Percy. I was shocked that Percy had directly disobeyed Chiron. Nobody had ever disobeyed Chiron, not that I knew of at least. Chiron wasn't even mad at Percy, he just sighed.

"Percy..." Chiron started to say before he was cut off by Percy.

"No. I don't want to be involved in another war. You know what happened in the last one. I lost everyone. I didn't go back to my parents' house because they're dead. And you know who killed them? Tartarus. He told me it was in return for killing Gaea. Tartarus haunted my dreams every night after the war. When I went down in the ice, I'd hoped that they would stop because Tartarus would think that I was dead. But no, in fact, they just got worse. He tortured me the entire time I was frozen. 33 years. That's right, I counted. In my cell. I never bled in the real world. The wounds just showed up as scars. He did more damage then you could possibly imagine. Now I'm being dragged into another war and prophecy. I don't want to be your pawn anymore."

When Percy finished ranting he was breathing heavily and glaring at Chiron. Even though the glare wasn't directed at me, I was really scared. Chiron didn't seem very scared by the glare, but if he was he didn't show it. I was shocked, and it looked like the other campers were, too. I didn't know he was in the last war.

"Percy..." Chiron tried again, "the prophecy specifically talked about you. You're the only last living demigod who fought in both wars."

Percy threw up his hands, "Arghhhhhhh!" and sighed in defeat, "Fine. Who are we fighting this time?"

Before Chiron could answer my sister piped up.

"Excuse me, are you THE Percy. As in Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon and bearer of a bunch of titles. The last remaining demigod who fought in the Second Titan and Giant wars?"

Percy looked at her in surprise, "Yeah, I am. Why?"

"Well, it just, I've just heard so much about you. There's a statue of you by the amphitheater."

Percy looked even more surprised than before (if that was even possible) and turned to Chiron.

"You built. A statue. Of me?" He said slowly, "You know I never wanted any of that."

"Yeah, yeah. The camp built a statue of you. 'The great Peter Johnson'" Everyone turned to see Mr. D had entered the room.

"Yes, the camp built a statue of you in your honor. Everyone thought you were dead. Please stay Percy, everyone's missed you and you're clearly a part of this next prophecy." Chiron said to Percy.

Percy sighed and nodded, "Fine, but I'm going to my cabin for a little bit. I need some time."

"Of course," Chiron said, "Take as much time as you need."

Percy nodded in thanks before turning and leaving.

The moment he left the big house everyone started talking. Mr. D just yawned and left, probably to get another Diet Coke.  Chiron stamped his hooves multiple times before shouting.

"Everybody stop talking!"

Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at Chiron.

"Now," Chiron sighed, "I know that Perseus has just returned to us, but please don't crowd him. That boy has been through a lot. Go back to your activities for the rest of the day."

Everyone was muttering to each other as they filtered out of the big house. I hung back.

"Hey, Flare!" I heard my sister call, "Are you coming?"

"Yeah," I replied, "just give me a second!"

"Okay"

Ambrosia turned and continued to leave the big house.

I sighed and turned to Chiron.

"Chiron, I need to tell you something."
