The Glow Part 5
Ally was jogging to class after the tardy bell rang. If she got one more tardy slip it would be In School Suspension for her.
"What are you doing? Let me go!" Ally heard panicked shouting from a familiar voice as she turned the hall corner to her class. "Stop!"
Ally saw that the familiar voice was coming from Laura, one of the players on the soccer team. Laura was aggressively shoving herself backward, heals trying to dig into the unforgiving linoleum floor, as she attempted to pull her wrist free from the tall blonde dragging her forward. Ally froze, confused about the situation. She did not know how to stop it, or how a girl who was overly athletic and capable was easily succumbing to the simple grasp of a hand on her wrist. Ally then recognized that the second girl was Charity, Laura's best friend.
Ally watched with horror as Laura kicked and screamed when she realized that Charity was dragging her straight for the stairs. Laura's screaming grew louder, echoing down the halls.
"Hey!" Ally shouted, trying to get their attention. Trying to prevent the situation she was currently watching unfold. "Stop!"
"Ally!" Laura shouted. "Something's wrong with her. She is hurting me!"
Ally let her bookbag fall to the ground with a thud as she rushed over to help. Classroom doors were opening as worried teachers came to check on the commotion. She reached out and placed her hands on Charity's arm, trying to get her to let go of Laura. The first thing she noticed was how icy Charity's skin was to the touch. Too cold to be healthy like she had been submerged in freezing water for a length of time that should kill anyone. Even with Ally's weight pushing Charity forward, and Laura forcing all of her weight back, it did not seem to faze Charity. Her feet continued to numbly shuffle backward.
"Please, help me," Laura whimpered, her face streaked with tears.
"Why are you doing this?" Ally shouted at Charity, still pushing with all her strength.
Charity's head turned in a strange angle as she looked at Ally, but did not see. Her eyes seemed to be lit from the inside out with an unnatural hue as the orbs appear to stare through her.
"S-s-she needs." Charity hissed. Her glowing blue eyes were disturbing. Unfazed. Vacant. Unhuman. "I need."
"Girls-" a teacher shouted. Ally could feel her side hit the railing of the stairs. She had no choice but to let go of Charity as she dragged Laura violently back over the stair railing and down to the solid white floor below. With wide eyes, she watched as Charity's head hit the ground, red shot around her head like someone had taken a brush of paint and flung it at the floor like a canvas. As Laura fell toward the ground, the sound of her cries pierced Ally's ears, until they suddenly didn't.
Her knees gave in, sinking to the floor. She was shaking uncontrollably as a teacher ran over to her, trying to speak to her. Ally couldn't hear them over the deafening pounding of her heart.

"What did she say to you?" Ally was questioned by a woman who had called herself Detective Verity Laszlo.
Ally had been given a blanket which she pulled tighter around her body. She could only muster a whisper. "Charity said something about a girl needing and her needing."
"How exactly did she say it."
Ally shivered. She just wanted to go home. "She needs. I need."
"And do you know what this was about? What else had been going on?" The glowing blue of Charity's eyes burned in her memory each time she closed her eyes. The detectives own blue eyes were trigging the awful memories despite the fact that they were a perfectly normal colour.
"I have no idea."
