It Wakes Up

I woke up. 6:00 am? I thought. Why so early? And then I remembered it. I was harboring a literal killing machine. Can I get in trouble for this? Like, is this even legal? But then again, it won't matter if  the thing impales me through the chest with it's tail like I think it will.

I slowly walked up stairs and opened the door to my bedroom. The Xenomorph was there, writhing in complete and total agony. It was moaning and hissing in pain, and it couldn't get up to do anything about it because its legs were broken. Then it saw me. If you were there, you would be able to tell that the room just got 100 times tenser than it was. It looked so scared at me I felt bad for it. The Xenomorph just stared at me, completely terrified, waiting to see what I would do. I put my hands in the air so it could see that I had no weapon. It seemed to notice this, and it went from deathly scared to curious. I slowly took a step toward it. It hissed at me and went to scared again. It crawled with what little strength it currently had to the corner of my room, where it propped itself on the wall so it could see me better. Then I got an idea.

I left the room and shut the door behind me, its gaze following me the whole time. I reentered the room later with some raw sirloin steak that I was planning to eat that night. I slowly slid the plate towards the Xeno, its gaze still following my every move. It looked at me clearly confused. "It's for you!" I said to it. It seemed to understand. It began to poke and prod at the sirloin, as if trying to make sure I wasn't drugging or poisoning it. After confirming that it wasn't cyanide, it extended its inner mouth and ate a bite. As it ate the steak, I was left thinking: I'm literally feeding an alien! Holy cow! When it was finished with the steak, it returned its gave to me, wondering what I would do next. I tried walking toward it again. This time it didn't hiss. "Keep calm, I won't hurt you." I coined. As I continued to walk toward it, I extended my hand to touch its forehead. It still didn't move, its "eyes" tracking me the whole time. My hand made contact with its forehead. It felt very warm, but I didn't press too hard as I remembered it had a skull fracture in multiple places. Even though I pressed lightly, wouldn't it hurt it anyway? Because didn't it have brain damage too? I began moving my hand back and forth slowly on its head, stroking it. It began to emit a low growl noise, almost like a purr. I guess it's enjoying this, eh? I thought to myself. But my thought was interrupted when I felt something touch my back. I looked behind me to see the Xeno's tail slowly rising to my back. Welp, I've had my fun. This is the part where the Xeno impales me with its tail. I closed my eyes as I braced for impact, the pain, the suffering. But it never came. I looked behind me again to see the Xeno's tail scratching my back. "Returning the favor, eh?" I said to it. It nodded. I smiled. It looked confused. "I'm smiling. I'm smiling because you're not stabbing me in the back. Because you could easily kill me easily right now, and I think you know that. But you're not." I think it made what was an attempt at a smile. "Hold on. I gotta go get some more food. For the both of us! I'll be right back." I said to my newfound friend.

As I closed the door, I saw it open its mouth and drip what looked like its own saliva on its legs. I brushed it off as nothing. As I was cooking up some sirloin for the Xeno and brewing coffee for me, I heard some rustling from the bedroom. Probably just attempting to get up. I thought. When I walked back in the bedroom, the Xenomorph was nowhere to be found. "Friend? You there?" I called. No response. But what I did get was a familiar scratch on the back. I looked behind me to see a familiar tail hanging from the ceiling. I looked upwards to find my friend hanging from the ceiling, inner mouth extended. "Woah... you are one cool looking dude..." Some of its saliva dropped on my head. "Want some?" I asked as I showed it the plate of sirloin. As it took the plate, I said "Want to come downstairs? There is plenty more things for you to explore than this tiny bedroom." It seems to like that idea, because it dropped down from the roof and waited for me to start walking. Only then did I realize how much my new friend towered over me. It looked absolutely amazed at everything I had in the house. I pulled out a chair at the counter top and beckoned for my friend to sit down. Then it hit me. "How did your legs heal that fast? And your skull? And your brain? Yesterday when I scanned you it said you had multiple skull fractures, and you had severe brain trauma. And to top it off, both of your legs were broken." To reply, it extended its inner jaw, which had thick, clear saliva dripping off of it. " Ohhhhh. I saw you start dripping that on your leg before i shut the door. Got it. And after you finish that meal, you can go explore the house. Just don't break anything." It nodded, and got up to go on a mini-adventure. "Oh, and before you go. I should give you a name. How about...... Blade? After your tail?" It made yet another attempt at a smile, then nodded. I tried not to show my amusement at its attempt at facial expressions.

Hours upon hours passed, Blade exploring his new home. But then it was time for bed. "Blade!" I called. "I'm gonna go sleep. You can catch some rest with me if you want." Blade popped his head from the corner of the recliner room, as he seemed to like the furniture in there. As he walked out the door he hit his head on the top of the doorway. "Ha ha haaaaah!" I laughed as Blade was rubbing his head. He made a sound that resembled laughing. "Come with if you want!" I said after me and Blade recovered from our laughing fit.

As I layed there in bed, Blade opened the door to my bedroom. "Didn't know you could do that! I probably should've left the door open to save you the struggle." Blade started to curl up on the floor next to my bed to sleep. "Oh nononono. Come lay next to me in my bed. There is room for two anyways! Besides, it would be plain mean to make my new friend sleep on the floor." Blade seemed happy when I said that, so it made me happy too. As me and Blade laid next to each other, he wrapped his tail around me and pulled me closer to him. Immediately I felt 10 times warmer. "Goodnight Blade. Love you." I said. He seemed confused on the fact that I loved him, but I guess he figured it out later, because he laid his head on my chest and began to purr, as we both fell asleep.

Authors Note: Wow! This took much longer than it needed to, as I'm very good in writing and english/language arts (as you might be able to tell heh heh). Hope you like the story so far. Next chapter we will get some more character development and we will get to see Blade... learning!!!
