Chapter 5

After Lindsey had gone, Stevie would get ready; take a shower then get dressed in her usual uniform which consisted of a black blouse, some black leggings and her favorite black boots. To accompany the simple look, she did her hair in loose curls and and put on some light makeup to define her eyes and cheeks, nothing crazy.

And by the time she finished getting ready, it was about twenty minutes later that Stevie's pre-called car would come and pick her up from the hotel she was at; easy enough for William to set up in the morning considering he was also staying at the hotel.

When she arrived to Televisa studios, she made her way into the lobby and without much trouble, she recieved a visitor's badge and she made her way onto set. But before she could get lost, William was there to greet her.

"It's good to see you again," he kissed her cheek and embraced her before laying his arm across her shoulders.

"It's good to see you too," she smiled, just a little giggly considering he was so handsome; he created a form of silly butterflies in her stomach because he was just too cute.

"I didn't see Lindsey?" he claimed.

"No, he had to go home. His little girl is sick and he had to be with her... But he'll be back as soon as he can," she assured.

"Oh, that's okay," he rubbed her arm, sensing an immediate withdraw within her. "I think he'd find all of this interesting, but if we have to wait, no big deal."

"I appreciate it... He would so enjoy this and if we're lucky, he'll be able to check it all out later," she agreed, knowing her man to be a behind the scenes type of guy as well as he loved learning the logistics of things. "I think he should be back by tomorrow morning, no later."

"Good," he nodded.

He would then guide her to their places and when they entered, it was only to enter a small apartment looking set; one where directors, camera crew, lighting people, makeup artists, hair stylists, along with only a few actors on the spot, taking notes with the nods of their heads.

"This is so neat," Stevie mentioned, briefly waving at the girls from the day before.

He chuckled, "So, María and Victoria have a scene coming," he pointed to Maite and Victoria when gesturing to their characters. "You'll get to see why this woman is the queen of novelas and tears," he gestured to his "mom" with a small laugh. He then brought her a seat near the teleprompter where she could clearly see the camera screens and script.

All of it was in Spanish, everybody spoke in Spanish but it didn't stop her from trying to be in the know of what was going on. Instead, she plopped down in the chair that William set for her and she crossed one leg over the other before leaning in to watch the screen since she was near the director's seat.

"¿Qué tal, Will?" one of the two directors approached William with a handshake.

Shaking his hand in return, "Alberto, ¿como esta usted? ¿Donde está Jorge?"

"Con Victoria y Maite para la escena nueva. ¿Por qué?"

The Cuban actor then turned and smiled as he walked the man over to the blonde. "Ella es Stevie Nicks..."

Bueno, si! Mucho gusto, señorita," Alberto replied, instantly extending his hand to her.

William smirked, "Nice to meet you, Miss."

She smiled, "Same to you..."

"Igualmente a ti," William replied for her. "Y La invité a que viniera y mirara. ¿Esta bien?" he explained that he invited her to come and watch.

"Si, claro, hombre. No te preocupes por eso," he patted his shoulder and returned to set in order to get things going for the girls.

"Okay, so there is a gonna be a good scene here," he chuckled. "Maite and Victoria are going to do a lot of crying... María is about to find out that Victoria is her mother."

"Oh, wow..." she arched a brow. "This is exciting, I'm happy to just watch," she grinned.

He rubbed her shoulder firmly, smiling since he knew she'd enjoy it.

Lugares, gente!" the other director came over with the take marker and yelled loudly. "¡Acción!"

"They kind of don't have many shots at this, so they had to perfect the scene and Victoria is going to have to walk through water tonight to shoot the scene that comes before this."

"Sounds like a lot of work," she chuckled.

"Vayase, señora," Maite as María Desemparada stated.

Victoria Ruffo as Victoria Sandoval cried and she shook her head before walking out of the little apartment set.

By the end of the scenes that were constant tears, yells and begs, even Stevie was in tears and she hadn't known totally what was going on because she definitely didn't understand all of it and William was there to translate when he could considering there was no talking allowed while the cameras were rolling.

"!Y corte! ¡Buen trabajo, chicos, muy buen!"

Somebody then approached Victoria and Maite with tissues to help them clean up their makeup and they both kind of giggled when they broke away from one another in order to make their way off the set so they could prepare for then next between Maite and William or María Desemparada and Maximiliano Sandoval.

As Victoria traveled over, dabbing her face of the tears and makeup, William got up from where he was and he joined her to let her know that Stevie was there.

From the distance that dark haired woman smiled and waved.

The blonde did the same as she wiped her eyes and stood from the chair.

Before they knew it, they were face to face again, hugging.

"Me alegro de que hayas venido a visitarnos," Victoria assured, pecking cheeks with her.

"She's glad you came to visit."

"¿Y tu amigo?"

"Your friend?" William repeated before then telling her the story that she told him.

"Lo siento mucho, pero no te preocupes por eso. Puedes acompañar a Maite y yo en mi tráiler para el almuerzo. Y esta noche a cenar en el restaurante elegante." she giggled, rubbing the side of her arm, continuing to clean up her face with the tissue.

"She said she's very sorry, but not to worry because you can accompany her and Maite in her trailer for lunch. Then tonight she invited you for dinner at an elegant restaurant."

"I appreciate it."

He relayed the message.

"I'm so happy I got to come and experience this," the blonde then added. "My God, you're so good at just... crying," she laughed. "It's astonishing."

William chuckled once again relaying the message.

Victoria chuckled and kind of shrugged. "Cuéntele la historia de cómo mi mamá nos enseñó a mis hermanas y a mí," she nudged William.

"Oh," he chuckled. "She wants me to tell you the story she told us; her mom was the one to teach her to cry like that. Her mom, Lupíta was a struggling actress and she wanted her and her sisters to also work, three little girls and her mom told them; Whatever I tell you, just cry, no matter what I say, so they would. And that's pretty much how she cries because she started practicing rather young."

"How funny," she smiled. "That's adorable. For me, I started singing kind of similar. My granddad was a struggling country singer, I mentioned my parents owned a cantina and so at the age of three and four, I was tap dancing on the bar top, harmonizing with him while he played guitar."

Unable to wipe the smile on his face, William smirked and once again relayed the message for Victoria.

The dark haired woman laughed and she then got to thinking how very similar the two of them were as far as having massive careers when they grew up with people around them wanting their lifestyles.

It was strangely similar: two little girls with family members struggling with their professions.

"¡¿William?!"

"¿Si?" he turned back. "Con permiso, excuse me," he jogged back to set.

"Mucha trabaja a hacer juntos," Victoria mentioned with a gesture, still taking the blonde to her trailer to settle down.

"Mhmm," she nodded in agreement, understanding that there was a lot of work that needed to be done.

"¿Por qué estás llorando?" Victoria asked after a moment, handing her an extra tissue she had in order to dab under her eyes.

"No, nothing," she gathered what she said by only the gesture of the tissue she offered her and she shook her head. "I'm fine," she gave a thumbs up.

Although Stevie was fine and only crying because of the scene between Maite and Victoria, it was kind of pent up because she didn't have children to share that kind of moment with, she missed Lindsey who was a father and everything kind of crashed down on her emotionally rather quickly.

Lindsey had three kids; William whom was thirteen, Leelee whom was eleven and Stella whom was seven years old. They weren't necessarily babies, but they were her babies voluntarily and unbeknownst to Kristen. Due to the fact that she didn't have children of her own, she spoiled his kids as much as she could, but she had to do it behind Kristen's back considering they didn't get along and it was apparent to even the children.

And unbeknownst to Stevie, it was just another small similarity to Victoria because Victoria did not get along with Vivian, César's wife even if it was to save her life. In fact, it was so bad that the two women couldn't even be in the same room at the same time.

The kids knew their mother didn't like Stevie to which they didn't understand why their mother felt that way towards their Aunt Stevie, as they would call her, but they knew it would keep them and their father out of trouble if they just followed along with what the Stevie and Lindsey told them.

Once again, Victoria's kids and husband knew about her affairs with César, even their co-stars, but nobody said a word about it for their own sakes; just like Stevie and Lindsey's peers.
