Chapter 4

Victoria and César would return to their hotel for the evening, considering they would be working the next day and not getting a break any time soon.

"You seem quiet, what's going on?" César asked after her, settling his hand on hers as he allowed her into their room first.

"No, nothing... I was just thinking about Stevie and Lindsey. You know what William told me, he said that they were not married either; he said they were like us."

"That's a joke..." he laughed, shrugging his shoulders as he took her coat.

"No, it's the truth. Interesting, right?"

"Very..."

"I talked to her for a while, and there was so much more I wanted to ask her, but they had to go because of all the cameras. They're very famous in the United Kingdom and in America and they said it would be a lot of trouble. Well, William said that on behalf of them."

"Oh, yeah? I guess we know what that's like..."

She kind of giggled, but smiled at him lovingly. "Well, we should give their music a listen, don't you think?" she then wondered, putting her glasses on.

"Sure," he shrugged. "Would you like a drink?"

"Yes, thank you..."

He poured a second glass of wine for her.

"Maite told me she would send me some of their music to listen to. She said they are in the band Fleetwood Mac, but then Stevie has music apart from that."

"How nice..." he came over and brought her a glass of red wine as he took a seat next to her.

"Mhmm, thank you, my love," she then looked from her phone and logged into her laptop in order to look up some YouTube videos.

César was not very tech savvy compared to her, so he just watched her do her thing and then he watched her pull up an old video from the seventies.

"Look how cute they are," she beamed a beautiful smile as she took in the petite blonde. "She's still very beautiful," she added.

"Yes..." he just agreed as simply as possible as he wasn't trying to belittle his woman by also mentioning the blonde.

"Did the two of you talk?" she then wondered.

"The truth is, no... She could understand me, but I couldn't really understand her," he chuckled.

"That's true," she also laughed. "She's very smart," she added. "If they're staying long enough, maybe I can have my assistant call her up and they could meet with us on set, huh?"

"Whatever you want, heaven," he shrugged. "She seemed interested in the novela. I wonder if she'll watch it."

"Maybe... It doesn't really matter, but sure... She'll be catching the middle of it since it's been on since October. She just seems very fun to be with... Surely we'll keep in touch."

"That would be nice for you..."

She grinned. "She can keep me company when you leave because once we're done with you, you'll have to go back home."

"I'll be around, I always am..."

"True," she turned to look at him, her hazel eyes scanning over him in a very loving manner.

"What?"

She shook her head. "We haven't seen each other for almost four years and when you returned, we returned like nothing."

He picked her hand up and he kissed the back of it. "Omar is around, has he said anything?"

"No, and your wife?" she asked, not having the gall to say her name as she did not get along well with the woman.

"Not yet."

She arched her brow. "José Eduardo asked about you, and my little Victoria has been spending time with Omar or Maite and William... Anuar doesn't care, but he spends more time with Omar anyway."

"Sure..."

"If my twins were a little older, this would be easier..."

"No, it's okay," he settled his hand over hers. "The twins need you, Vicky... They need their mommy. I'll more than likely stay even after. I never told Vivian how long I would be working."

"Sneaky," she smirked.

"What can I say?" he chuckled. "Perhaps when Stevie and Lindsey go on tour, we can head to one of their shows in LA..."

"Really?"

"Why not?" he shrugged. "They came all the way here just to be alone, why couldn't we do the same? Of course your ex-husband lives in LA, so it makes sense if you were going with José Eduardo, and for me... I'm sure I could manage."

She sighed, "Are you sure? Your wife is very jealous, César..."

"Very... As she should be," he kissed the back of her hand lovingly, eyes nearly suggestive as he stared into her hazel eyes.

When the next morning arrived, Stevie was awake a little earlier than usual, though Lindsey was already out of bed and probably running around the hotel while she lounged.

As she laid in bed, she stared at the ceiling, thinking about the evening before; the cameras that were all over the bar had her gut in knots because it was just so risky as time went on that evening. And although it was rather risky, she couldn't help but feel so close to Victoria, she had made such an impression on her.

She was nearly living the same way as her, as far as their relationships went and yet nobody said anything, it was as if they were living normally. Maybe they were, but to others it just wouldn't have slid. Instead, it felt like they had given each other ammunition to keep going about life.

Soon enough, Lindsey entered and he smiled at her as he made his way in with breakfast and such things.

"Hello, my sleeping beauty... Good morning."

"Morning," she swung her legs over the edge of the bed and she stood up in order to meet him. "Where did you go?"

"Just ordered from the restaurant about a block away... Got as much as I could since I didn't know what you wanted."

"Thoughtful," she kind of laughed, wondering what he possibly could have ordered considering she was sure he too struggled with the language barrier. She then took a seat at the table facing the balcony that overlooked the city.

"Did you sleep well?" he then asked as he served her.

"Yeah... I've just been thinking a lot about last night and everything."

"You sound down," he took a seat and he grabbed ahold of her hand so he could kiss the back of it.

"No, I'm not... I'm a little anxious considering everybody taking pictures last night, but other than that I am thrilled. I loved meeting everybody last night, I had so much fun."

"I'm glad," he smiled, settling her hand down so that could return to his meal. "Like I said, Stevie, we deserve to be happy."

"I'm really wondering how Victoria and Caesar do it... I mean, they were not even hiding the fact that they are together and I only know they are because William mentioned it."

"Well, depends... Maybe they're on the verge of divorce from their spouses."

She arched a brow, "I don't know..." she paused, blanking as she thought back to the rest of the group.

She couldn't help but smirk to herself only because she could not help but have a little crush on William Levy, he was a cutie and that was all she thought because she only had eyes for one man and her heart belonged to only that man and that man was Lindsey. Though, she did believe William to be very handsome and very attentive to whatever she, Lindsey, or his colleagues may have needed the evening before. He was a genuine sweetheart. And very nice to translate almost all night.

Then she thought back to Pablo Montero, how wonderfully he serenaded them, listening to his style of music, it reminded her of when she was little; always having heard either the regional, ranchera genre or country and that alone reminded her of home and her mom and dad since that was the music that played the most between all the places they went to in Arizona, even their own cantina.

She thought back to how beautiful the girls were that were playing Victoria's daughters in the show; Livia Brito and Maite Perroni. And that made her think about the band Maite was in and she made a mental note to look up RBD so she could check out some of her work.

And of course she had to think about the couple she met because they were very loving and interesting to be around. She thought the world of Victoria and she was kind of obsessed with their relationship as it resembled her own oddly.

She also did find César to be quite the gentleman when he danced with her; he had a strong look in his eyes when looking at his girlfriend, but he seemed to have a loving gaze with her too, but of course, she didn't think anything of it nor did she think he thought anything of her.

The thing in which had her most inticed was to see Victoria out and about in public with friends and family, knowing she was married as well as César. It actually made het feel a little better, since the woman had a little more gall than she did. It made her feel like she didn't need to hide as much, though she wouldn't test her theory as she didn't have the courage to do so.

To knock her out of her thoughts, Lindsey's cell started ringing.

He pulled it out of his pocket and then he handed it to her, "It's for you..."

"Mm," she instantly knew it was her assistant. "Hello?"

"Hey, I talked to William's assistant and I gave him the number to your hotel. So, he should be calling in the next hour or so..."

"Far out, thank you so much," she grinned. "I appreciate it, I got to meet him and his co-stars last night. Such a gentleman to translate for us all night."

Lindsey rolled his eyes.

She arched her brow with a prominent smirk marking her lips. "I'll call you in a bit, thank you, Karen." She then hung up and she settled his phone down. "Am I sensing jealousy, lover?"

"From me? No," he smirked and took his phone back into his phone. "What did Karen say?"

"She said William is going to call us very soon..."

"For?"

"I had asked for her to set us up for lunch or something, but we ended up meeting everybody a lot sooner. But better anyway, since we didn't get to talk to anybody or get anybody's number..."

He nodded. "Did you even bring your cell? You have one..."

"Yeah, it's in my bag. I don't know if it's charged or anything..."

He chuckled, "I'll check it out for you..."

"But, meantime, I need you to play me some RBD songs. I told Maite that I would listen to her work..."

"Okay, what do I type in?"

"Type in the band and then maybe her name..."

"Okay," he obeyed, finding a video that had her picture on it.

"Oh, she's so pretty," she had to add as she watched through the slides. "She's got a beautiful pop voice."

"Yeah, definitely," he agreed. "Shows she has solo work, let's listen to that afterwards."

"Okay," she agreed as they at their breakfast. "William told me she sang a song for the soap too, but I'm not sure what it's called. I can ask later on..."

When the song, "Empezar Desde Cero" was over, he clicked another song that popped up right after and it was called "Vas a Querer Volver."

"This is a cool video..." she commented. "And she's a very good dancer, she moves beautifully."

"Would you care to dance?" he winked at her.

"Can you handle it?" she mimicked.

"Nope, but at least I own it."

She smirked and stood up in order to bring him to their dance floor.

As she danced in front of him, trying to sway him to the beat of the music, the music suddenly stopped.

"Hang on," he backed away with a laugh as went to answer it. "Hello?"

Stevie then kind of clung to him, kissing his cheek as she embraced him.

"Kristen?"

Both were a little shocked to hear from her that early in the morning and they took a step back from each other to ensure that Stevie could not be heard, but then the phone in the room started ringing.

He instantly walked out to avoid his wife hearing it.

Stevie rushed over to get the phone and she answered. "Hello?"

"Hi, Stevie, it's William."

"Hello, honey, give me one second," she covered the reciever.

Once Lindsey reentered, he sighed and shook his head.

Stevie brought the phone back to her ear and she then talked to the young man, apologizing for making him wait.

"I just wanted to invite you to set on behalf of Victoria... She will be here with all of us today and we're working, but you're more than welcome to drop by. We always go to lunch at some point or we hang out in the trailer," he chuckled.

"That would be so neat," she beamed. "I'll be there, thank you!" She resettled the phone on the hook and she stood from the bed side. "William invited us to set. How exciting!"

"Yeah, I hope you have a good time," he leaned in and kissed her.

"You're not coming?" she moved back.

"I'm really sorry to do this to you, but I'm not going to be able to come. Kristen says that Stella is really sick, so I'm gonna have to go home and then come back."

"It's not problem, honey, if she's sick," she shook her head. "You have important obligations to fulfill as a father. I don't hold that to you," she came near, plastering her hand to his chest.

"I won't be gone long, but will you be okay by yourself?"

"I'll be perfect, I have a fun day ahead me. Don't worry about me at all, but I will be waiting for you. Take as much time as you need."

"I love you," he kissed her lips.

"I love you too."
