Chapter 3
The couples danced, not really giving anybody but their significant others' attention and it was enough for everybody to get to talking, though eventually, Victoria glanced over at them and she couldn't help but stare for a moment.
She couldn't put her finger on it, though she felt a pull towards Stevie when watching her and Lindsey sway to the music and talk closely. Of course she wondered why she felt such a way, but she didn't think too much of it at the moment; they seemed to be in love and it simply gave her a warm, knowing feeling.
"Are you okay, my love?" César asked in Spanish, interrupting her thoughts while giving her hand a gentle squeeze as they continued dancing.
"Yes, I'm fine," Victoria replied in the same manner, turning her attention towards him. "I just... I can't help but want to talk to her and get to know her. Maybe we can invite her and her companion to join our table?"
"That sounds wonderful," he said with a short nod, wondering if they were going to even be able to communicate considering when he spoke to the blonde, she did not seem to speak Spanish nor did the male with her.
When the song was over, Stevie and Lindsey went back to their seats while César guided Victoria back to their table.
From the distance, Victoria rose her glass up to them from across the way as they welcomed their colleagues before the next song.
"Are you going to sing?" César asked after Pablo.
"Yes, of course!" he grinned, tipping his hat and downing a shot of tequila.
"William?" Victoria reached out to the younger Cuban.
"Yes?" he looked up from conversing with Maite and Livia.
"Who's that couple? And do they speak Spanish?" she asked in Spanish. "We saw them yesterday when we were shooting," she said, bringing her drink to her lips as she sat down.
"Yes, they're singers from the band Fleetwood Mac... They're here on vacation," he assured, keeping the flow of language between all of his colleagues.
"Oh, yeah? She's got a beautiful voice, I just thought she was familiar when I saw her..." she ensured, trying to make her piqued mind less noticeable. "Maite, you know of her, yes?"
"Very familiar with her," the younger singer and actress agreed with a smile. "I'm gonna go say hi in a bit..."
"Good," she nodded. "William, I want to ask them to come join us. Will you be able to translate for us?"
"Yes, I can do that," he chuckled with a nod.
"Great, thank you!" the woman said excitedly. "But before that, is that her husband?" she then asked.
William had to smirk only because he thought it was funny that they both seemed to assume that of each other when seeing them with their colleagues. "Like you and César," he assured.
"Really?" she was rather shocked to say the least.
He nodded with a smirk before standing up and walking over to Stevie and Lindsey's table.
They saw him coming over, though Lindsey couldn't help but hold Stevie a little closer.
"Excuse me, sorry to bother the both of you again. But, we would like for the two of you to come sit with us at our table, if you don't mind," William gestured. "Victoria was asking about you..."
"Oh..." Stevie said as she turned to Lindsey.
"I'm going to translate for you," he added.
"What do think? Can we join them?" she innocently asked, more on the quiet side.
"Sure, why not?" Lindsey said with a nod of his head, very passively since he knew she was probably erupting from excitement since she had yet to stop talking about Victoria.
"Great," William grinned and he grabbed their drinks for them as he motioned towards the table. "I'll introduce you to everyone."
Lindsey and Stevie stood up then followed Cuban actor to the table that everyone was sitting at and when they reached the table, everyone stood up from their seats out of greeting the incoming pair.
William settled their drinks on the table and he smiled, "Stevie, Lindsey, this Maite Perroni," as he motioned towards the young gal playing his love interest.
"Hello, nice to meet you," Stevie said with a smile, taking her hand.
"It's very nice to meet you," she added with much excitement to her voice.
"Oh, you also speak English," she mentioned, a little relieved for William's sake.
"I do speak a little," she agreed, her accent thick but still understandable.
"And she's a singer as well," William added, knowing full and well that they could hit it off easily.
"Really? That's interesting," Stevie assured, gravitating towards her further.
"I once was in a band called Rebelde," she said the group's name in Spanish. "But in English, it's just RBD. We recorded an English album. So, I learned from that experience," she shyly nodded. "Either way, I'm a huge fan," as she looked to both of them in admiration.
"We're pleased to hear that, thank you," Lindsey assured with a smile, shaking her hand. "Are you singing tonight?"
"No, no," she laughed.
"You should, give us a little taste," William chuckled.
"No, I'm not warmed up," she laughed. "But let me settle in another drink or two."
"Of course," the blonde nodded. "I could never be an actress, so we'll have to check out your group and your solo stuff..."
"I'd be honored," she assured.
Stevie nodded enthusiastically, her hand gently rubbing the side of the girl's arm as she looked over to the man whom was wearing a cowboy hat, tilting it towards them.
"This is Pablo Montero," William motioned over to the young man who was just six years older than himself. "Pablo, estos son Stevie Nicks y Lindsey Buckingham, los cantantes de la banda Fleetwood Mac. Una banda americana."
Pablo reached out to shake their hands. "Encantado de conocerte," he smiled a handsomely.
"He says, it's nice to meet you, and I'll just add that he is also a singer," William chuckled.
"My goodness, I love it!" Stevie beamed, melting further into Lindsey.
"Eres guitarrista, verdad?" he squinted at Lindsey.
"You're a guitarist, right?" William translated.
"Yes," he replied simply and with a nod.
William would then add; "Pablo plays too, not as much as you but he does every once in a while."
"I'm happy to learn a new style," he claimed.
The Cuban actor relayed the message in Spanish and then motioned towards another younger woman that was also there. "This is Livia Brito, my little sister in the show," he grinned.
The woman shook their hands, giving a brief greeting.
And finally, he turned towards the couple. "You both met César already... So, Stevie, Lindsey, meet Victoria Ruffo, my stepmother in the novela. La Reina de las Telenovelas," he claimed.
"Mucho gusto," Victoria was quick to come over and greet them, shaking the blonde's hand and feeling an automatic take to her.
"Nice to meet you," repeated William.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, we seen you guys yesterday," the blonde replied, taking in every detail of the woman; she was so beautiful and elegant.
"Ella dijo: es un placer conocerte, te vieron ayer..."
"Yo también a ti," Victoria nodded. "Tu voz es muy hermosa y gracias para las bebidas. Maite me dijo tu eres La Reina del Rock and Roll..."
William chuckled; "She seen you too. Your voice is very beautiful and thank you for the drinks. Maite tells her that you are The Queen of Rock and Roll."
Stevie chuckled, "Well, yes," and nodded.
"Como tu, ella es una reina," William added with a smile. "Two queens," he grinned.
"Y tu, tu compañero?" Victoria asked after Lindsey, shaking his hand.
"Your companion..."
"We're here on a vacation away from everything... We start tour in the next couple of weeks and nobody knows we're here."
Once more did William relay the message.
Lindsey then gave Stevie the most gentle squeeze as he took in his surroundings, seeing that some random people, just the people among the area were taking pictures, more than likely of Victoria and César and it made him uneasy, but thus he planned to keep his mouth shut for the sake of Stevie.
Although Stevie could understand mostly what Victoria was saying, William was there to repeat what the blonde was saying to the brunette and they talked extensively of their works and such things.
Since Stevie had just ended her own solo tour, it had Maite also very intrigued in her work and how touring went for them considering she didn't tour nearly as much. And although the two women wanted to ask each other questions that brought up their relationships, they strayed since William was having to repeat information.
Soon enough, Pablo stood up and he jogged toward the stage. "Bueno, chicos! Hola, todos!"
He gained a wail of applaud from the people in the bar and a special cheer from his friends giving him all the encouraging in the world.
"Esta canción es para mis nuevos amigos," he winked at the new couple. "Ojalá te suene familiar," he mentioned of the song.
Victoria grinned and she settled her hand over Stevie's in a complimenting manner.
"He dedicated the song to you guys," William mentioned.
"How sweet," Stevie kind of giggled, patting Lindsey's knee.
He picked her hand up and he kissed the back of it.
The music began once the man gestured to the mariachis and he took off his hat.

Livia and Maite made their way to the dance floor with William, swaying with him.
"He's got a lovely voice," Stevie added.
He nodded in agreement.
Just then César stood up and he walked over to the couple, offering his hand to the blonde. "Te gustaría bailar?"
"Si, vé con el," Victoria nodded her head assuredly with a grin.
Stevie blushed just ever so slightly, but then looked back at Lindsey.
He didn't see any harm, so he agreed and allowed for that. "I have to call home..." he added.
She nodded and allowed for César to walk her to the dance floor.
Soon enough, Pablo walked down the steps of the small stage as he sang and went to the table to retreive Victoria.
Victoria laughed as she joined her group of television children and friends because she had known Pablo for over a decade.
"Madre!" William grinned as he welcomed the couple.
Meantime, outside, Lindsey was checking in with his wife.
It was something he found himself doing every night and all he did was assure her that he was not with Stevie and at the hotel.
Tonight, he was drinking with the guys, but nothing more and they left it at that.
As he hung up his cell phone, he made his way inside and glanced around the bar, finding everybody dancing happily and carelessly.
William was swaying Victoria to the music while Pablo held each girl under either of his arms, singing with everything he had and then of course, César was dancing with Stevie and that had his eyes further occupied than anything else.
But then suddenly, Lindsey caught a flash of light and it caused his attention to go elsewhere.
He looked over, noticing that people around them had either their phones or cameras out and although he knew the cameras weren't necessarily for them, but for the group of famous actors especially, Victoria and César, he knew that he and Stevie could be seen clearly.
Stevie was oblivious as she was between dancing with César to the lovely song that Pablo was singing and talking to Victoria through William.
Lindsey didn't want to interrupt, but he had to because he knew if they weren't careful, their little getaway would blow up in their faces.
He threw back his drink and he made his way over, settling his hand respectively on César's shoulder.
César then nodded, sure he'd want to dance with his girlfriend and so he kissed the back of her hand in assurance and he patted Lindsey's shoulder before traveling back to Victoria.
"Doesn't he sing wonderful?" she asked as she fell into his arms, swaying him.
"It's great, babe, but uh, Stevie..." Lindsey said in a whisper, leaning into her ear as he held her close. "There are cameras everywhere. We need to leave."
"Awe, but..." she began her beg, but then she too noticed a prominent flash and glanced around; surely there were cameras surrounding them.
It was one thing for others to see Victoria and César together because they were surrounded by their co-stars so people couldn't question it as it was not incriminating. But Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham; alone without the rest of Fleetwood Mac made it obvious that they were there alone and together.
"You're right," she broke away from him momentarily and walked over to the group, mostly trying to bid a farewell to William. "I'm so sorry to interrupt, but, we need to go," she claimed, whispering why in his ear.
He nodded in agreement, just grabbing Victoria's attention for the sake of Stevie.
The women pecked cheeks and Stevie ran out with Lindsey.
Although, it showed that Victoria was a little disappointed since they were just getting to know more about one another, she also understood once William relayed the message.
