Chapter 2

Once Stevie and Lindsey made it back to their hotel for the sake of getting out of sight and to their dinner, Stevie went to the front lobby while Lindsey went up to their room.

"Excuse me?" Stevie went over to the concierge's desk.

"Si, señora?" he looked up prominently.

"Do you speak English?" she wondered.

"Yes, ma'am," he kind of chuckled, repeating what he said in Spanish.

"Oh, great. My uh..." she paused for a moment, not knowing how to address Lindsey, "My boyfriend and I were just outside and we were noticing all the cameras. What's going on? Are they filming a show?"

"They've been here for the last couple of days this week. They're blocking off the street because they're shooting a novela," he agreed.

"How fun!" she assured. "I love soaps! I normally watch American soaps, are the novelas any good?" she wondered.

"Si, señora, they're good... I've seen the American dramas, the ones from here are more intense and a little more dramatic," he gestured with his hand.

"Really?" she beamed at the idea of that because she loved to watch television when it came down to it and good acting had her intrigued. "Do you happened to know where any of them are staying?"

"No, señora, forgive me. I don't..." he shook his head.

"No, it's okay, I did see William Levy... Is he staying here?"

"Yes, but I'm not allowed to give away his personal information."

"No, of course not, I understand," she dusted it off. "Thank you so much," she kindly replied before making her way up to her hotel room.

The journey and wait to get into the elevator, it only opened for her to meet with Lindsey.

"Hey, where did you go? I've been waiting..." he assured, stepping aside for her to join him.

"Nothing, just being nosey. I'm really interested with what was going on. The guy told me that they are shooting for a novela. How exciting."

He smirked, finding her ever so adorable; her excitement over the small things really tugged on his heart because it just reminded him of the simpler days when they were together as a young couple.

···

After a very nice evening out, after nearly getting caught in public, Stevie and Lindsey had a romantic evening; they went to dinner, went back to their hotel where they made love, using their first night like it was their last it seemed.

It had been some time since they spent intimate time together, so it really was a compilation of emotion; it was love, lust, ache and need hindering their motives and it was even slightly erotic, but beautiful. It was always beautiful when they were together, even when they were angry it seemed.

Though, when Lindsey went to sleep, Stevie rolled out of bed briefly just to contact her assistant.

"Hello?"

"Hey, it's me..."

"Is everything okay?"

"Everything is perfect," she assured. "I was just going to ask you a favor..."

"Okay..."

"You know the actor, William Levy? He's staying at the hotel we're at and I also know that they're filming a soap here... Could you do some digging and maybe set us up for a quick lunch? I'd love to meet him and be in the know of what is going on."

Karen could not help but chuckle. "I'll do what I can, boss."

"I appreciate it, call Lindsey's cell if you can't get ahold of the hotel."

"Okay, goodnight."

"Goodnight," she hung up and curled right back into the spot she was in.

When the next morning arrived, Lindsey rolled over, draping his arm around her frame, embracing her warmly; the bedsheets lazily coveting over their naked bodies.

He swiped her blonde strands back, caressing the side of her face.

And the gentleness easily stirred her awake and she smiled softly.

"Morning, precious..." he smiled, swiping his thumb over her cheek lightly.

"Morning..." she sighed, stretching out a little bit before curling into him. "This is nice; waking up to you in the morning. It's a treat," she assured, kissing him rather passionately.

They would then make out for a little while; hands roaming, tongues at war, but no further actions that early in the morning.

Pulling away, he smiled wide and he continued to stroke her hair, her skin, really just touching her at any chance he had.

"Why don't we go out tonight?" she suggested, as she gently drew random shapes over his chest.

"What do you have in mind?" he asked, gently caressing her shoulder.

"I was thinking we should try to find some live music," she replied. "Maybe some place small that has an open mic night. We can have a few drinks and have a relaxing night out... Couple songs each, what do you think?"

"Sounds like a plan," he agreed, leaning in to kiss her once more.

···

Later that evening, the two would get ready to go out once more, though at that point they had an actual time and place to be; they were going to a small bar where they had a short window to perform, something Lindsey set up on behalf of the two of them.

Lindsey performed his version of "Go Insane" since it had a little bit of loose Mexican style to it with his finger picking skills, and it was during that song that Stevie noticed William Levy entering alongside some of the people from the day before.

Once Lindsey was finished with his song, he gave the guitar to the band and Stevie handed her microphone over and they walked off the stage, having earned a heavy applause, but then the band returned to playing.

"Lindsey, look," Stevie grinned.

"Oh, yeah..." he perked up.

The group of people seemed to be moving rather smoothly through the crowd and it was pretty private even though they were rather badgered the day before.

"Let's send them some drinks..." she asked.

"Okay," he agreed, not giving it much thought. But as he went to the bar, he noticed that William was walking over to the table they had been at.

The Cuban man smiled profoundly at the blonde, shaking her hand.

"Hello," she grinned. "I saw you yesterday."

"Yes," he chuckled. "I thought I saw you, but I wasn't sure and then later I got a call from my assistant that your assistant reached out. Karen, right?"

"Yep," she agreed. "I knew I recognized you so I told her to reach out."

"I'm honored," he put his hand to his chest. "I know it's okay for me to say hi..."

"Of course," she stood up in order to greet him properly; a hug, a peck on the cheek and a short conversation.

Soon enough, Lindsey came back and he greeted them.

"Honey, this is William... He said he recognized us yesterday..." the blonde beamed as she melted into his side.

"Really? It's nice to meet you," he shook his hand. "My son's name is William, too."

He chuckled lightly, "It's a great name."

Stevie smirked. "So, what is the name of the soap you guys are taping? I noticed yesterday it seemed to be a big deal."

"It's called Triunfo del Amor and we're almost done shooting..."

"Triumph of Love?" she then asked.

"Mhmm... Do you speak Spanish?" he then wondered, looking between the two of them.

"No," they said at the same time with a laugh following their responses.

"Mm, no, I understand a lot of it though," she assured. "I don't speak it very well, I grew up in Arizona and my parents owned a cantina, so there were a lot of people in and out that spoke it..."

"Oh, si!" he grinned. "Arizona is little Mexico, I've heard," he joked.

"Yep," she kind of chuckled. "Also, I noticed the girl you were with, you guys seemed very popular when the cameras came around, the reporters, I mean, and the other couple..."

"Yes, Maite is my co-star, it's our second novela toether and then for César and Victoria, it's their third," he smiled.

"I noticed she seemed to capture the spot light. Who is she?" she wondered.

"Victoria Ruffo. She is La Reina de las Telenovelas..." he smirked. "The Queen of Soap Operas... She's very popular, she and César are a couple in this novela so there are many people rooting for them in real life."

"Oh, are they not together?" she wondered.

"No," he smirked. "Bueno, yes, but no... They are both married to other people and it's kind of on the down low that they are seeing each other. You didn't hear it from me," he put his hand up.

"Awe, we understand that well..." she smirked, glancing at him from the side of her eye.

Lindsey only wrapped his arm around her tighter, the insecurity of it all eating at him slightly. "We're here on a getaway."

"Nice..." he looked back to see his co-stars waiting on him. "Are you guys going to perform again? We'd love to hear it..."

"Uh, we can," she assured, looking back at him.

"I don't think the band will mind," William smirked.

She smiled, "Lindsey...?"

"I'm on it," he kissed her head and he made his way over to the stage.

"Thank you," she assured.

"I'm going to go back to my table, it was very nice to meet you," William leaned forward to peck cheeks with her.

"Yes, same here," she smiled before walking over to the stage to join Lindsey.

Although they had many hits of their own, they chose to sing other things; she sang "At Last" by Etta James since it was a very nice song and well known, and she felt the need to serenade Lindsey while she had him and while he had done so much for her as far as the trip went. The blues also seemed to fit the scene a little better than the rock and roll she could have offered.

At the end of the song, Stevie happened to make her way down the steps and she kind of lost her footing although, a nice gentlemen was there to help her before Lindsey could get to her.

"Estas bien?" the deep voice filled her ears.

"Yeah," she nodded.

"You okay, hon?" Lindsey smiled at the other man.

William then came over, knowing the language barrier would be a problem.

"Yeah, I'm fine, really. Just a little tipsy, I'm okay," she waved it off.

Smiling, the young Cuban actor nodded. "This is César Évora, my co-star," he paused and turned to the older Cuban man. "Ellos son los cantantes de la banda, Fleetwood Mac. Ella es Stevie Nicks y el es Lindsey Buckingham," he explained that they were singers from the band.

"Si, recuerdo," César extended his hand. "Mucho gusto. Gracias para la tequila."

"He knows who you are, he remembers. Nice to meet you and thank you for the tequila you sent," William repeated a more lengthy version of what the man said.

"Of course," Lindsey shook the man's hand.

"You're so welcome," the blonde smiled.

"Cuidate mucho, que si?" he told Stevie with a smile. "Disculpame," he then excused himself.

"Thank you, I'm clumsy," she replied, knowing he told her to take care of herself.

William chuckled. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," she assured.

Soon enough, the band began playing music once more.

"Oh, that's pretty," Stevie assured of the song as soon as the music started.

"Would you care to dance?" Lindsey wondered. "Can you handle it?" he then joked.

"Yes," she rolled her eyes. "You're the one with two left feet, can you?"

"Excuse us," Lindsey smirked.

"Of course," William nodded, returning to the table to see Maite as she was just getting there after shooting along with another couple of actors such as Pablo Montero and Livia Brito.

César then helped Victoria to stand in order to join him and he kissed her lips lightly as soon as he had her in an embrace.

Meanwhile, Stevie and Lindsey talked, something they were more accustomed to while they slow danced.
