Back at the school, Alyssa and Hank had been going about their day while waiting for the others to return. Hank made some special sunglasses for Scott while Alyssa bounced between managing her classes and playing with Angel. The two later happened to be passing by the main entryway when they saw a familiar blonde female.

"Raven?" Alyssa asks.

Raven turned to face them before approaching them.

"Alyssa, what are you doing here?" Raven asks.

"I live here now." Alyssa responds, "After D.C., Charles offered for Janos and I to stay. We didn't really have an alternative, so... here we are."

"So..." Hank says, "You're..."

"Not blue?" Raven asks, "Looks like you and I have that in common now."

"No, that's not what I meant." Hank says, "You're back. I never thought I'd see you here again."

"Yeah, me neither." Raven says.

"I'm blue." A male who was behind her says, joining the group. "I'm Kurt. Kurt Wagner."

"Welcome." Hank says.

"It's nice to meet you, Kurt. I'm Alyssa, and this is Hank." Alyssa adds.

Kurt nods before Hank goes to show him around.

"Okay, is it just me, or does he remind you of Azazel?" Alyssa asks Raven quietly.

"Well..." Raven starts, trailing off.

"Come on, don't tell me you don't see it." Alyssa says, pausing for a second, "Wait, are you saying that he- Raven Darkholme, you sneaky girl. Now I know why you and Azazel were close back then, and why you suddenly vanished for about a year. Does he know?"

"No, he doesn't, and I'd like to keep it that way. Nobody knows, got it?" Raven says.

"I won't say anything." Alyssa responds, "It's not exactly my news to share. Now come on, we should catch up with Hank."

When the girls found Hank, he had just finished Kurt the basic tour and had Jubilee helping out. They talked for a bit before Hank went to show the girls the new X-Jet he was working on.

"That's impressive." Raven says, "How are you ever gonna get it out of here?"

"I built a retractable roof underneath the basketball court." Hank responds.

"Hank, you're building a warplane down here." Raven says.

"After what happened in Washington, I thought we were going to come back and start the X-Men, like we all used to talk about. But... " Hank says.

"Charles wants students, not soldiers." Alyssa finishes.

"He thinks the best of people." Hank adds, "He has hope."

"And you?" Raven asks.

"I think we should hope for the best." Hank responds.

"And prepare for the worst." Alyssa adds.

"The world needs the X-Men." Hank adds, "And maybe now that you're back, you could help us convince him."

"He won't listen to us." Alyssa adds. "Maybe he'll listen to you."

"I'm here about Erik." Raven says, "I think he might be in some kind of trouble. Real trouble."

"Isn't he always?" Hank asks.

"What did he do this time?" Alyssa asks.

Raven told them about what she heard, that Erik had been hiding out in Poland and supposedly killed more people, his family among them. There was a pause after she was done talking before Alyssa finally spoke.

"Geez, Erik." She says, "And you're sure about all this?"

"That's just what I heard." Raven responds.

"Charles will want to know about this." Alyssa says.

"Yeah." Hank responds.

"Where is he?" Raven asks.

"Out." Alyssa responds, "He should be back soon."

The three decided to go wait in Charles's office until he returned.

"Hank?" They heard him call as he entered, "Alyssa? You two in here? I'd like you to meet..." He stopped when he saw Raven.

"Moira." Raven says, standing.

"I'm sorry, have we met?" Moira asks.

"Um, Hank, Alex, Alyssa, Janos, Agent MacTaggert, could you give us a moment please?" Charles asks.

"Of course." Moira responds as she and the others leave the room.

While Charles and Raven talked, the others shared information with each other. Hank and Alyssa told Alex, Janos, and Moira about Erik, while the other three told them about Moira's discovery. A moment later, the door opened, and Charles asked the others to follow him.

They arrived at Cerebro, Moira looking around with both a surprised and confused look on her face.

"Moira, I'm going to have to ask you to keep this a secret." Charles says."

"I don't even know what this is." Moira responds.

"It's Cerebro." Raven says, "The new model."

"I based the color on..." Hank starts to say, but stops himself. "Never mind." He then turned on Cerebro and Charles put the helmet on.

The room went dark before white lights surrounded them.

"What are those?" Moira asks.

"Those are all the humans of the world." Charles responds, before the lights turn red, "And these are all the mutants. I'm connected to all of their minds."

"The CIA would kill for this." Moira says.

"I know they would." Charles responds before searching for Erik.

"Charles?" Erik's voice echoes in the room.

"Hello, old friend." Charles says, "I'm sorry. I'm so, so, sorry. I feel your pain. And your loss."

"You think because you can see into my head, you know how it feels?" Erik asks, "You're looking in the wrong place, Charles."

"What happened to them, it was terribly wrong." Charles says, "But come back to us. I can help you."

"Help me?" Erik asks.

"Think of your wife, think of your daughter. What would they have wanted?"

"They would have wanted to live. I tried your way, Charles. I tried to be like them. Live like them. But it always ends the same way. They took everything away from me. Now, we'll take everything from them."

That's when they noticed something was off.

"Hank," Charles says, "He's not alone."

Cerebro started acting up, and the lights changed to purple.

"Charles, stop. Get out!" Hank says, trying to turn off the machine.

"I've never felt power like this before." Charles says.

"What's going on?" Moira asks, "What's happening?"

"I think someone's taken over Cerebro." Hank replies, "They've taken control of it."

"To do what?" Raven asks.

"To connect." Hank responds.

"Then shut it down!" Janos says.

"I'm trying." Hank replies, pulling open the controls and ripping out wires while Charles yelled in pain, "It won't shut down!"

"It will when I fry it." Alyssa says, summoning water from a special rig she kept hidden on her.

"Alyssa, wait." Hank says, "You could electrocute him."

"Alex, Janos, destroy it." Charles says.

"What?" They ask.

"Destroy it! Destroy everything! Destroy Cerebro!" Charles yells, "Wreak havoc, Riptide."

Alex nodded and stood in front of the console as a red beam of energy shot out of his chest, damaging the panels in front of him. Janos tried throwing small tornadoes, but they did nothing. Instead, he made a large one, using it to throw the debris around as Alex shot two more beams from his hands. They continued until Cerebro seemed to shut down, and then they stopped.

Everyone then rushed out of the room, but Charles was knocked out from whatever tried to take over. A soft rumbling could be heard before Erik appeared, with four other individuals: Storm, Psylocke, Archangel, and Apocalypse. With his powers, Erik summoned Charles over to them, Alex chasing after. Hank tried to stop Alex, but he fired an energy beam at the group. Just as fast as they appeared, though, they vanished, and there was an explosion right in front of them.
