Dreams

It was another bright, wonderful day on the Planet of Mül. The sands shining extra fine with the soft breeze blowing across the land. Princess Lil'h woke up with one the many converters on the planet snuggling into her. She grinned softly at that and woke up, getting swiftly out of bed. She walked over to the sink, washing herself with fresh, beautiful pearls from the sea that gives them this resource. Taking the converter with her, she went outside and opened her arms to embrace the day. She walked over to the pearl fishers as they collected the pearls from the ocean.

"Mon-el," one of them said, tapping his forehead with his hand and grinning.

"Mon-el," she replied, grinning, doing the same motion towards him. She greeted the rest and shyly replied to the last one, having a crush on him. Lil'h watched as the pearl fishers left for the town, their now filled bags shining int he morning light.

The pearls then were dumped into a long wooden container in town, the people of Mül washing them. The king soon came out and inspected them, his wife following him from behind. His eyes caught one that was more shiny from the rest, the one that would be given back to the Earth.

"Give this to my daughter," he said, handing the pearl over to an attendant. The attendant bowed and left the town to give it to the princess. Lil'h took the pearl from the attendant when he arrived and took one of the converters and fed him the pearl. The converter started to shiver and soon pearls were coming out of his body and straight into a basin of water connected to the ocean which Lil'h was holding him over. She placed the converter back in its rightful place before staring into the shining waters of the basin.

Suddenly, a boom came from the distance and fireballs rain from the sky. Lil'h glanced at them fearfully and ran towards town. Her father was already evacuating the citizens of the town, running towards a space craft that had crushed on their land. Stepping cautiously into the space craft, they closed the door once everybody that was with them were in there. Two citizens pulled the door shut, the handle broken afterwards.

"Where's Lil'h," asked her mother the queen and then they all remembered.

Lil'h was in front of the space craft but could not enter.

"Lil'h! LIL'H!" her mother cried, having people restrain her. Tears were dripping down her face. The king put his hand on the glass of the door, Lil'h touching it before she bravely faced the storm. Another crash came and the planet was soon enveloped in dust and sand. She opened her arms before letting lose a blast, the sign that her life has passed.

Now in a place far away from the planet and its time, Valerian woke up.
