I Have So Much Work To Do
Warning! There will be mentions of torture and a little bit of it in this book! If you cant read this, please don't! You have been warned.
It was another day at work. Jared was doing a little research on our serial killer and it turns out that he likes to kidnap and kill women with brown hair and brown eyes, all in their late 20s like me. So... I could be next on the list. The thing is, I wasn't scared. I share a house with 10 founding fathers, all used to fighting. I also know how to kick ass, so I feel like I'm good.
"AJ, make sure you stay safe. Have one of your roommates with you all the time. Please, AJ. You're so important. We love you," Jared begged.
"Jared, I think you forget, I have a black belt in karate and deadly aim. I'll be fine," AJ smiled, pulling her teammate in for a hug. "You just take care of Zoe."
"I will," he returned the smile and I walked out of the agency, my gun safely in the back of my jeans. I started to my car, texting Hercules and telling him I was on the way. As I was about to open my door, I felt a presence behind me.
"Hey pretty girl," said a deep voice. I turned around and came face to face with the man we were tracking down. "You are a perfect catch."
I did what first came to my mind. I carefully called Herc with my phone without making it obvious. "I'm an FBI agent, sir. Step down."
"Oh, no. You're mine." He started to me with a gun in his hand. I heard Hercules starting to get angry. I put my phone in my pocket so that I could grab my gun. The killer grabbed my hand and wrestled the gun out of my hands. "Don't fight me! You know you want me!"
"I don't! Leave me alone you fucking perv!" I shouted. No one would hear me though. I knew it. My only hope was Hercules. Suddenly, the butt of a gun came in contact with my head, causing me to black out immediately.
Hercules POV
I had just hung up from AJ when she called back. I put it up to my ear and heard AJ say "I'm an FBI agent, sir. Step down." Like she wasn't talking to me.
"Oh no, you're mine," said a deep and unknown voice to me.
"AJ? ANNABETH!" I shouted. I put the phone on speaker and everyone gathered around.
"Herc what's going on?" Lafayette asked.
"AJ. Shh, listen," I ordered. There was a lot of tussling and grunting from AJ's side, and a deep voice continuously telling AJ-
"Don't fight me! You know you want me!"
AJ screamed back. "I don't! Leave me alone you fucking perv!" Suddenly, there was a loud thump and AJ went silent. The phone moved and the deep voice started to speak.
"Whoever this is, I suggest you don't come after her. Let me have my fun, and you can have her body."
"I don't know who you fucking think you are, but you fucked with the wrong people," I said.
"Say your prayers, bitch," Aaron said, growling. "And if you touch her, I will rip your fucking head off your shoulders."
"I'm already tracking the cell," Samuel said. For some reason, Samuel was a boss at tech. He could track down anyone anywhere. "Even if the phone is off, I know where he is."
"Have fun-" CRASH. He broke the cell.
"Well, not anymore," Samuel sighed, his furiously typing hands slowing to a stop. "He broke the phone."
Aaron had tears in his eyes. "A-AJ.... Annabeth.... S-she...." some tears started down his face and he collapsed. I've never seen Aaron cry. Ever.
Alexader sat down next to him and wrapped an arm around him. Aaron was crying hard. Like, really hard. "I-I can't l-loose her!"
"It's okay, Aaron. We'll find her," Alexander promised. "KG, call Jared. Tell him what happened."
"I'm sure he already knows, Alexander, but whatever," KG dialed the agent's phone number and I fiddled with hands. Lafayette sat next to me and pulled me into a hug. I put my arm around his waist, softly whimpering.
"God this is all my-"
"Mon amour, zis is not your fault. I promise. It iz no one's fault. We will find her, and kill ze man who took her," Lafayette whispered. My face heated up at the name. I don't know a lot of French, but I know that "mon amour" means "my love".
"Laf.... I'm scared."
"Me too, amour."

Jefferson was at the gym with me. Everyone else was staying at home, searching for AJ. I was holding the punching bag, which Jefferson was beating the hell out of.
"Damn, Thomas!" I cried when my feet slipped because of the force he was using. "What are you doing!"
"Training. I'm gonna beat the shit out of whoever took AJ," he said, his voice deeper with anger. He took a water break and I started doing push ups. "Why would he take her though. If he knew anything about her, he would know that we would come after her."
"Maybe that's what he wants," I said, hitting 20 push ups. "Maybe he wants us to come."
"So you're saying we shouldn't look for her?" Thomas asked, wiping off some sweat from his forehead.
"Hell no. I'm gonna find who took her and rip him in half, but we should make it seem like we can't. Like we can't find him. Mourn her death. Or pretend to give up. If he thinks we're not coming, he'll let down his guard," I said.
"That's smart, Hercules. Have you done this before?" Jefferson joked.
"Maybe," I smirked. I've actually never done this before. I finally stopped doing push ups at 100 and sat up. "I miss her."
"Me too, Herc. Me too."
AJ's POV
I woke up tied to a torture rack. Oh, this will be fun, I can tell. The serial killer, who's name I still didn't know, came in, a mask on his face.
"Goodie! You're awake!" he cried.
"What do you want?" I asked.
"Some fun, that's all," he smirked, starting to remove his shirt. "By the way, I talked to your... Roommates. Sound like faggots."
"You don't get to talk about them like that! How dare you say anything like that???" I shouted, watching him set up a camera
"Just saying, princess. They better stay back though. Now, smile for the camera!" He said, turning on the video.
"Help me!" I shouted. "We're in a warehouse, still in the city! By the looks of it, in- mmfmm!" he cut me off by wrapping some fabric in my mouth.
"Loud girls are bad brides," he purred. I fought hard against the bonds and managed to scream out.
"AARON!"
"Is Aaron one of your little faggots? Aaron can't help you here."
He started to drag a knife down my arm and I whined. I have been through worse, but it was painful. He finally stopped and looked up at the camera. "I'm sending you this so you know. This is only a little taste of what this bitch is going to get. Stay back, and watch the show unfold, and maybe you can have her body back. What do you have to say about that?"
"Boys!" I yelled as soon as the gag was pulled off. "My boys! Stay safe. Don't do anything stupid. You are so smart. You know what you can and can't do. I don't know if I'm getting out of this. If I don't, comfort each other. Know I love you. And if I don't, gank this son of a bitch for me. Aaron, baby, I love you so much. Move on if I die. Don't let me hold you back. I'll be waiting on the other side." I didn't even notice that tears were flying down my face. "I love you so much! All of you!" God I sounded like a mother saying bye to her kids, and I was in a way, but I couldn't help it. I loved my boys and they needed to know that.
"That's enough," he put the gag back in my mouth. "Aaron, is it? Yeah, this one will be fun. Say goodbye to your girl." he started rubbing his chest before turning off the video.
"You're sick."
"I know. Let the fun begin," he took out some torture tools and started the pain.
Back to Herc's POV
We were all searching for anything to help us find AJ when we got a call from the agency. "Hello? Is this Mr. Mulligan or Mr. Washington?"
"Mr. Mulligan speaking," I said. "Did you find AJ?"
"No, but we have a video you might want to see. Do you need a ride?" the girl asked.
"Thomas, can you drive?" I asked.
"Yeah."
"No, ma'am. We're on our way now," I said. "Thomas, get the car. The agency just called. They have a video we might want to see."
We immediately went to the agency. Ever since Aaron's mental breakdown, he stopped showing emotion. He's like Alexander: work. All work. He was heartbroken without AJ, and I feel like he shouldn't watch this video. It might hurt him more.
"Aaron, you sure you're ready-"
"Yes."
I didn't push him. I've lost people before. It causes you to push everyone away in fear of loosing them too.
When we got into the agency, Jared walked over to me. He saw Aaron standing away from everyone silently, looking lost in his thoughts. "How's Aaron?"
"He's getting worse," I said. "Let's see the video."
Jared put the video on the large screen and we watched as the killer trailed a knife down her arm. I felt Lafayette tense beside me and I grabbed his hand. She started her speech and I noticed soft crying. Aaron. Washington walked over to the sobbing man and pulled him into a hug, rubbing his back.
"Aaron."
She said his name and he looked up. She was smiling through her tears. "Baby, I love you so much. Move on if I die. Don't let me hold you back. I'll be waiting on the other side."
Aaron gasped through his tears and said "No...." Before hiccuping an little. Wow, no wonder Aaron never cries. He's a pitiful crier.
"I love you so much! All of you!"
"It's okay," Washington whispered. "We'll find her, son. It's gonna be okay."
"What if-"
"Aaron," Jared said. "We will find AJ. She's smart, she'll find a way to show us where she is."
"Y-yeah..." He whimpered, wiping his tears again. "I have so much work to do."
Well well well, I made a plot. Whaaaaa
Anyway, tell me if you like the plot or not. If not, make sure to tell me!
