CHAPTER TWO: CAMP HALF-BLOOD

When I open my eyes I find myself standing alone in front of a large pine tree. "Momma?!" I ask in confusion. "Don't worry my sweet." I hear her voice in my head. "I'll always be with you. I just cannot take my physical form here." I nod. "Okay." I thought back. I began to walk towards the tree when I hear a growling from behind me. I quickly turn around to see a large black dog with glowing red eyes. I let out a scream that sends teens running towards me from all over. I scrambled back but the large dog pounces on me, ready to tear out my throat. I hold out my hands and a green light appears from them, vaporizing the dog. The teens are shocked, and a black haired boy and a blonde haired girl help me to my feet. "What the hades just happened?" The girl asked, looking me over. I felt like I wanted to cry I was so scared. A man with the bottom half of a horse came over. "Go easy on the poor girl Annabeth." The man said to the blonde girl. The girl, Annabeth, backed away. I whimpered a bit, hugging my arms tightly. The black haired boy looked at the man. "How did she do that Chiron?" The man, Chiron, sighed. "I'm not sure Percy, but we should probably get her into camp before something bad happens to her." The boy, Percy, nodded. He gently took one of my hands and and Annabeth took the other. Together they lead me past the pine tree into a large camp. "Welcome to Camp Half-Blood." Annabeth said, smiling at me. I shyly smiled back. They lead me towards a large blue and white house in the middle of camp. "This is the big house." Chiron explained from behind us. "We'll have you stay here until dinner, perhaps you'll be claimed then." Chiron said. "Claimed?" I asked, sitting down on one of the porch chairs. "When you find out who your godly parent is." Annabeth explained. "Oh, okay." I replied, looking around. "What is your name anyway?" Percy asked, making me flinch. Annabeth smacked his arm. "Don't be rude." She grumbled. "It's okay Annabeth, and my name is Rose Lillian Jewel Potter, but I usually go by Rose." I replied. Annabeth smiled. "That's pretty." I smiled at her. Suddenly there was a dinging from a Greek style pavilion. "Looks like it's dinner time." Percy said with a smile. He and Annabeth walked me to the pavilion, Chiron walking behind us.
