CHAPTER THREE: THE GIRL WHO SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN BORN
I looked around the pavilion with the crowded tables. Annabeth went over to go and sit with some kids who looked like her. "You can sit with me Rosie." Percy said with a grin. "It's Rose." I grumbled. Percy just laughed, leading me over to his table. I sat down and looked at the empty golden plates and cups. "So how does this work?" I asked. Percy smiled. "You just imagine what you want." He explained. I imagined my favorite meal from the orphanage, which was hamburger steak and hash browns. I smiled as I imagined my glass filling with OJ and it did. "Neat!" I said with a smile. Suddenly everyone started getting up and walking over to these alter things and putting some of their food in it. "Come on." Percy said, standing up. I stood up and followed him. When I got there I put in some of my hash browns and steak. I prayed to Momma and hoped that she was okay. Percy did the same but to his father. We walked back over to the table but just as I was about to sit down I saw a green glowing light surrounding me. There were loud gasps and some campers even fell off their chairs. "That's impossible!" Chiron cried, standing up from where she was sitting. I looked up and saw a glowing green tree symbol above my head.
As I looked down I yelped. My old raggedy clothes had turned into a beautiful green Greek style dress,
and my hair had turned black and was braided in a flower pattern,
not to mention I was now wearing a beautiful tiara with diamonds and emeralds.
I looked around at everyone. They were kneeling to me. "All hail Rose Lillian Jewel Potter, daughter of Gaia, Goddess of the Earth." Chiron called out. Annabeth was absolutely shocked. "Gaia has a kid?" She asked in disbelief, and in fear. I was shocked as well, but everyone soon got over their shock and it soon became wonder. They came over to talk to me and gawk at me, which made me very uncomfortable. "Hey! Leave the kid alone." A female voice growled, walking over to me. She stood in front of me protectively and I smiled at her and she smiled back at me. "Come on, it's time for the campfire." Annabeth said, smiling at us. "Okay." I said happily, I was really starting to like it here.
