Brynn growled in her sleep and rolled over.

Levi walked into her room and starred down at her peaceful form.

"Brat" he said shaking her slightly. "Get your ass up. You're gonna be late" he told her. Brynn growled she shoved his hand away.

Levi's eyebrow twitched. Yet he bit his tongue, not wanting to curse at the young girl. She knew enough swears already.

He went over to the window opening it. Brynn pulled the covers over her head and returned to her slumber.

Levi sighed. He grabbed the covers, ripping them away from her and making her roll into the floor.

"Ow! Dammit! That hurt!" She yelled at him.

"Get up, your going to be late. If you aren't ready in 5 minutes then I won't let you have breakfast or say goodbye to everyone else" he said while he folded up Brynn's blanket and layer it neatly on her bed. She glared at him.

Levi's eyes went down to the large bite scar on Brynn's leg. He glanced back at her face. She growled as she looked away from him.

He made his usual 'tch' sound and left.

Brynn's PoV

There goes my uncle.. Not giving a shit as usual. I sighed and got up. I got into my cadets uniform and made it as neat as I could.

I folded down the neck on my sweater and put my hair into a messy braid.

I was about to run out of the room before I froze. My hand quickly went up to my sweater. I flet around for my necklace in my neck. Fuck!

I grabbed it off the table and put it on as I ran down the hall and to the mess hall, sitting at the table with Levi's squad.

"Kid your up early" Gunther commented.

"I have to get to the cadet camp on time or-" I was about to say till Petra cut me off.

"It doesn't start for a few hours " She told me. I growled and muttered curses against Levi under my breath.

"Besides kid your a mess. You look like you got dressed in the dark" Eld told me.

"Atleast I look better then olou" I commented smirking at my now pissed off comrade.

"Hey! Don't go insulting me runt! I have more Titan kills then you over will ! I am the eldest in this squad and you need to show respect for me! Or I swear to got I will kick that Irish ass of yours out of here and onto the streets faster then you can say o- ahh!" He was about to finish till he bit his tongue.

My smirk turn into a grin. "Cad a bhí go cúl tóna?" I asked. He growled as he covered his mouth, glaring at me.

I stuck out my tongue at him.

Gunther's PoV

I ruffled Brynn's, already messy, hair as we all laughed.

She looked at me and smiled.

Brynn !? Brynn! Come on don't die on us now kid!

My smile faultered slightly.

"Gunther? You ok mate ?" She asked.

"I'm fine kid" I told her, my smile returning.

"Brynn come on! I'll fix you up and then I'll bring you around to the others so you can say goodbye ok?" Petra asked. Brynn nodded and fallowed her out of the room.

I have a sigh of relief.

"Gunther? You ok? You seemed to daze off a bit while talking to Brynn. " Eld asked me.

"Yea I'm fine.. I'm just a bit worried for the kid you know... People are gonna start asking about her.. And the mp's aren't exactly chummy with the kid" I told them.

"Gunther she'll be fine. The kid'll live, she had a taste of the real world two years ago and she came back fine" olou said. I glared at him slightly.

"She came back half dead dumbass! The captain Levi almost killed the guy who saved her and then almost killed hangi when she poked at the kids leg!" I yelled at him. Eld put his hand on my shoulder making me calm down.

"Gunther it's ok. Levi's got a plan on what to do. And as much as a moron olou is"

"Hey!" Olou interrupted. I kicked his shin making him bit his tongue again in suprise.

"As I was saying! As much as a moron that olou is, he's right. The kid knows how to protected her self with almost anything. She almost cut my face off when j scared the crap out of her once night with her damn necklace for fucks sake ! She'll be ok. Know what would Finn say to you if he saw you loosing your head like that?" Eld asked me with a smirk.

"He'd tell me to calm down and shut up" I answered smiling slightly at the memory of one of my best friends and comrades.

Petra's PoV

I led Brynn to her room and fixed her clothes do they were neat and clean. I sat her down and brushed her hair, taking it out of the messy braid and putting it in a nicer more neat one. I was only doing this is the captain would've done it but scolded Brynn as well for her not going it herself. And that is the last thing they both need today.

"There we go! All done! Now have you got your bag packed?" I asked. She nodded happily.

"Great! Now let's bring you to say goodbye to Mike, hanji and the commander" I said.

"What about Levi?" She asked. I froze.

"You'll see him later ok?.." I lied.

His exact word to be were: keep the brat away, I don't want to see her till she returns from training !

And if I told Brynn that she'd be upset and slightly broken.

"Now come on! Hanji's down with the Titans" I said.

"Ok! Last one there's a rotten egg!" She said running down the hall. I ran after her.

Mini flashback

"Petra come on! The commander will kill us if we miss this !!" Jade yelled at me as she ran down the hall. I fallowed close behind her.

"Hey wait up!!" I yelled back.

She laughed looking back at me. "Not a chance my friend!" She screamed speeding up.

My smile faulted slightly and I slowed down. But I sped up again when Brynn glanced at me for a second.

"Come on slow poke!" Brynn screamed.

We both arrived in the courtyard where the Titans were.

"Wonder where shitty glasses I--"

"Brynn!" Hanji's squeal broke through the crowd. She hugged her squeezing the life out of the poor 12 year old.

"My baby! How are you?! Your leaving today right? You didn't think about not saying goodbye did you?! I would have gone to the cadets myself just so I could see your cute little face again!" She screamed.

Brynn's PoV

I whinced at the sound of Hanji's high pitched voice.

"Nice to see you two hanji" I said trying to catch my breath.

"Hanji drop her. You'll kill her with that grip" I head a voice say.

I smiled happily. "Mikey!" I yelled happily. Hanji let go of me and I hugged Mike.

"It's just Mike kid. It's good to see you" he said ruffling my hair.

"We came so Brynn could say bye. Next time you see her she'll probably be taller then the captain" Petra said.

"Well it's nice of you to say bye kid. Your joining the scouts right?" He asked.

"Yep! Keeping up the family tradition!" I told him happily.

"Great. Well you better go is you wanna catch the commander, he's in his office and is going to be leaving for the interior in a few minutes." Mike told me.

"Oh shit! Ok bye guys ! I've Gotta go!" I said as I started to run.

I heard Petra calling for me to wait but I ignored her. I ran up to the commanders door and knocked.

"Come in " I heard him say.

"Commander " I greeted him happily.

"Ah! Hello Brynn. Come to say goodbye have you?" He asked. I nodded. He smiled.

"Well then goodbye and good luck. I'm sure your father would be proud of you" he said.

"Thank you commander" I said saluting him.

"Oh and Brynn?" He asked.

"Yeah?"

"Call me Erwin. No need to official with a friend" he said. My smile grew.

"Ok..Erwin, I'll miss you. Tell me my uncle I said goodbye ok?" I asked.

I heard the door click.

"Hey Erwin ! Has the brat come though here ye-" I heard my uncle's usual monotoned voice begin to say till it stopped.

"You can tell him yourself" Erwin said with a smile.

Oh fuck my life....

"I'll leave you two alone" Erwin said as he left us.

Fuck!..

"Ugh...i dtigh diabhail.." I muttered under my breath.

"If you want to say something brat say it in a language I can understand" Levi ordered.

I sighed. "I wanted to say I'll miss you ok?.. Please and I'm literally begging her, don't die... I don't know what I'll do without you ok?.. Sorry for wasting your time.." I said going to shove past him. Levi grabbed my arm pulling me back to him.

"Hey! What the h-" I was about to scream till he hugged me... What the fuck?.. This is new..

"Brat if you hurt yourself in anyway or if anyone guest you I swear I will drag you back here and make you clean the whole base.." He said.

"You know normal people say 'don't get hurt because I care about you' but you just put it on a whole level you know that?.." I asked as u began to hug back.

"You know what I mean.. brat..." He said.

He smiled. "I love you too, uncle..." I said..
