Levi's pov

I stood in front of the cells while Erwin sat beside me. One was a kid I'd never met before, and the other was one I'd met the day she was born. She saw me as family and I had thrown her in a cage. But right now she was her head against the bars and she was smiling at us.

"I knew you weren't dead" she said in a tired but relived tone. "Of course not. You don't think we'd leave you after you just did something extraordinary, now did you?" Erwin asked. She chuckles and shook her head. "Of course not... but I amn't stupid Erwin.. I'm here to die. I've been in a cell for two days with barely any contact, there are MPs talking about my body like I'm an animal about to be disected and your here to try and save us.. I may not have learnt much from you but I know when your being nice for the sake of being nice" Brynn replied. "Good, at least you remembered how to notice a dangerous situation kid.. I'm going to help you but if you want me to you'll have to keep your mouth shut and follow my lead" I told her. She nodded and seemed to instinctively look at Eren's cell just as he woke up. He looked at us in dazed confusion.

"Any questions?" Erwin asked. The boy stayed in silence for a few seconds. I didn't take my eyes off Brynn as she seemed to be leaning against the wall for support. I could tell she had a nightmare from how her sheets were and the about of bruising on her wrists from the shackles. She hated cramped spaces from my memory. I have no idea in the three years I haven't seen her if she'd grown out of it.

"U-uh... where.. where am I?" The boy finally asked. "I think it's obvious. Let's just call it a dungeon. Your currently in the custody of the military police. We were granted permission to see you just now"Erwin said as I washed the kid look around and realise fully where he was. Brynn knocked on the stone wall slightly. "Hey neighbour. Look what we got ourselves into.." she muttered but it echoed, so everyone heard it. Erwin held up the key we had taken from him, this made him look at us faster then I'd seen him move in the last few minutes. "Where'd you get that?!" He yelled. "Don't worry you'll get it back. Let's talk home. Specifically the good doctors cellar back in shinganshina. Pretty big secret in there right? About the titans?" Erwin asked. I leaned against the wall a bit less as the boy seemed to want to talk properly. "Yes.. I think so" he replied. "That's what dad said anyway." I finished.

"Must suck to have your dad and your memory m.i.a. The same time. Unless of course that's just a cover story." I told him. Erwin gave me a death glare, I gave him a deadpan look in response. "Enough. We've been over this already. We know he has no reason to lie.... here's the lay of the land my friend. To pay your old dad's cellar a visit we'll need to travel back into shinganshina. Anyway you slice it a Titan is deciding our fate. We don't know your intentions. They could be the key to turning the tide forever. You could save us" Erwin told him. He sat there staring at his knees in silence.

Damn this kid was trying my patience. "Come on its an easy question. Just answer it. What the hell is it you wanna do ?" I asked him. He looked up at me with an off look on his face. It didn't sit well with me but I wasn't repeating myself. "I wanna join the scouts. And slaughter every Titan that crosses my path." He said with a venom laced town. I hummed curiously. "Well played" I began as I walked over to him. "I'll take responsibility for him. Let the higher ups know what's going on, not that I explicitly trust him of course. It's more of a matter of me trusting myself I deal with him. Kill him if I have to. Same goes for Brynn, but that's been sorted for a while now do they don't need to be reminded. The big wigs aren't likely to raise a stink. My record more or less speaks for itself I'm sure. Good news Yeager. Your officially a member of the scouts" I told him.

"Don't be too hard in him" I heard Brynn say. I rolls my eyes. "No promises" I replied, and then I left without another world, Erwin following me.

Eren's pov

I woke up the next morning. There was a metal cup of water and a small bit of bread at the end of my sell. I looked to my wrists to see if my memory surged me right that I had shackles on. I sighed till I heard a knock on the wall. "Brynn?.." I whispers. "Yes. Who else would it be ya gobshite ?" She asked. I chuckled. "Your up early.. I think.. it's so dark I can barely tell the time" I replied. "Well.. from the sound of those footsteps we might get to stretch our legs. Someone's coming down. And it sounds like they're.. skipping?" Brynn said with a tone of confusion. Footsteps? I didn't hear anything.

"Hey! Both of you stop talking! No conversation between prisoners!" One of the guards yelled at us. I sighed.. "I have to pee" I said, hoping to get an excuse to get out. "You just went" the other guard replied. "Well can I atleast have some water ?" I asked again. The guard who had screamed at me replied "your not getting a damn thing alright? Damn monster". Monster ? He isn't too far off.. 

As I sat and thought about my friends and if I would stay here.. caged like a monster for the rest of my life. I heard foodsteps. I then heard a surprised gasp from brynn's cell and the sound of her pulling against a chains a bit. I barely heard her say happily "hangi! Mike!"

Just as I was about to ask who was she talking to, a woman with glasses came out of nowhere and pushed her face up against the bars. Suddenly she smiled. "So then your Eren. Are you well? How are things? I'm really sorry you've been so long. But this is your chance to finally get out!" She said as she began to unlock my cage and a tall blonde man came into view, Brynn at his side with her hands behind her back.

"One thing. You'll have to put these on for me Ok?" The woman said showing me handcuffs. I nodded and soon I was out of my sell with my hands handcuffed behind me. She keeps smiling as she walks us to what I can only assume is a debate for our lives..

"My name is Zoe hanji, I'm a section commander for the scouts. This is another commander for the scouts, mike zakarius" hanji told me as mike sniffed me and I saw Brynn stifle a laugh at my confused expression. what is he doing? "Ohhh don't mind him. He makes a habit of giving new people a thorough sniff. Tends to laugh through his nose a bit. But I don't think he tends it to be derisive. Quirks aside he is a skilled section commander." Hanji told me. Brynn muttered something in Irish to mike and he simply chuckled and nodded but I didn't catch enough of what she said before hanji interrupted by screaming "ah poo! I've been prattling all this time with the small talk and we're already here ! Well I'm sure it's fine. It's probably better if i don't explain anyway" hanji finishes. Just then we got shoved away by the guards and into the court room. Shit!

"Hey wait! Hold on!" I screamed at them, and everyone stopped for a moment. "I know it might sound caliche but we've all put our fate in you Eren. Best of luck" hanji told me with a deadpan look. Before I could catch her again she shut the doors. And now.. we were in a court house ?... as I glanced around in amazement I got the barrel of a gun shoved into my back and orders to move screamed at me.

I obeyed and did the same when I was ordered to go on my knees. They put a pole inbetwen me and my arms. It held the chan done and I could move. When they ordered Brynn she looked at them sleepily. She didn't seem to be fully in the room. So they hit her in the temple with the base of their gun she fell to her knees and they restrained her. I saw her tilt her head to the side slightly as if she were thing to keep the blood in. People just stood around starting at us.. the only ones I recognised were a woman from our recovery mission squad, captain Levi, commander Erwin and Armin & Mikasa. Our friends looked horrified at the way we were being treated.

I heard a door open, so naturally me and Brynn followed the sound  of footsteps on wood up to the podium, to see the 'judge' take off his jacket, roll up he sleeves and take a sip of water. "Let's start. Shall me ?"

There we go! Triple update :3 hope you all enjoy. The next chapter will either be the court + Levi beating the crap out of Levi or the court scene but I promise within the next 2 chapters Levi will be kicking in some faces ! Hope you enjoyed this 3 chapter update :)
