"Grover, we need to talk."

Uh-oh. That was never a good sign, especially when it was coming from you girlfriend.

"Okay."

She looked nervously at the nymphs and satyrs who surrounded them.

"In private."

That was definitely a bad sign. He let out a nervous laugh.

"Okay."

They walked over to a clearing, not that far away from their friends.

"I really don't know how to say this," she said, fiddling with the ribbon in her hair-a rather endearing habit of hers when she was on edge.

"It's okay," he assured her, although his apprehension was growing with every second that passed. "You can tell me anything."

"Well, Katie told me it was a basic dating rule to tell my boyfriend what I feel, of course not small things like not liking your choice of shampoo-" Juniper rambled.

He frowned. "You don't like my choice of shampoo?"

"No, but that's not what I'm trying to say. What I'm trying to say is-" she took a deep breath- "that I'm scared that you'll leave me."

Grover didn't know whether to laugh or to cry. Here he was scared that she was going to break up with him, and, at the same time, there she was scared of him breaking up with her.

"Why would I ever do that?"

"Look at you! You have the blessing of Pan, you scared a whole army away. You're trying to protect the nature spirits of the world, you were one of the commanders in the war. You're one of the saviors of Olympus's closest friend. You're a part of the Council of Cloven Elders. You're you! And I'm just an ordinary wood nymph!"

He stepped closer to her.

"You're not just a wood nymph. You're the most beautiful nymph I've ever seen. You're sweet and caring, and stubborn, and just perfect. Not even an eidolon could make me leave you."

"Really?" she asked.

"Really."

They leaned in, and their lips meet, and soon all their worries were forgotten.
