Chris
A/N: First of all, this is not a cliché story, so if you want to read that schist, you have come to the wrong place. Of course, you are an absolute idiot if you want to read that. Just saying.
You will not find any Percabeth, Jasper, Caleo or other ships which are usually shown. We are here to present to you all the other ships including but not limited to: Chrisse, Gruniper, Tratie, Frazel. Don't like. Don't read. If you don't ship those, you are a babbling bumbling baboon who needs to head straight to Azkaban. Like, right away.
But don't feel the hate...just feel the death glares of us fangirls.
Let's get started and, no, it's not going to start with hello or hi...
Disclaimer:
The characters belong to Rick Riordan, as do the PJO and HoO series.

The sun was not shining like gold in a perfect blue sky. It was raining, and the sky was a dark grey that reminded him of a cliché funeral. Seriously, couldn't Zeus just have chosen any other day than today to have a drama queen fit?
Maybe it was not important to the almighty Zeus, but Chris wanted to take his girlfriend Clarisse on a date. Outdoors.
How big were the odds that the one time they decided to go on a date outdoors, it would rain? Which was a designated destination for them, and unlike some other people, they couldn't go underwater. And they didn't have a bunker in the middle of the forest as some other people also had. But, they could go somewhere else. Just not outside.
Which was the best place, since they couldn't have any time alone anywhere else.
As Chris hurried to put on his clothes and brush his teeth, he tried to ignore the annoying drips of rain that hit the roof of the Hermes cabin and the obnoxious sounds from his brothers. Especially Connor, who was currently teasing Travis about something. Which had left Travis redder than a strawberry.
"Come on Travis. Just drop the act and admit it," he heard Connor say. "Or are you seriously just going to prank her like a kid in first grade?"
Chris knew immediately who they were talking about: Katie. The daughter of Demeter who had hated Travis and Connor since the chocolate-bunny incident.
Just as Chris decided he was ready to leave, Travis asked him where he was going. He gave his half brother a teasing smile. "On a date. You should do that, too. You know. With Katie."
Travis paled and Connor started to laugh like a hyena, practically rolling on the floor. The other Hermes kids spared him a glance, and continued doing whatever they'd been doing. This kind of thing happened a lot where the Stolls were concerned.
"What about Miranda?" Travis snapped at Connor.
Connor offered an uninterested look. "I don't know what you're talking about."
"Right," Travis smiled. "I got proof, so spit it out!" He waved a diary in Connor's face who seemed to realize what it was.
"I don't have a diary," he said nervously.
"Then you won't mind me reading this." Travis opened the worn notebook and started to read from a recently written page.
"You're dyslexic," Connor pointed out.
"And? She's written it in Ancient Greek!" Travis waved the diary in his brother's face, smirking.
Connor mumbled some unflattering words about Travis and tried to get the diary, who stood up, held it out of his reach and climbed up a bunk.
Realizing what would happen next, Chris went outside, not eager to stay in. But, then again, not eager to go out.
It was pouring, rainwater streaming down the roofs of the cabins. Chris knew Mr. D was too lazy to stop it. His sneakers made splooshing sounds in the mud as he walked over to the Ares cabin. There were nymphs everywhere, shaking out their dresses, laughing and dancing to the songs the satyrs played. A few campers joined them, dripping wet with soggy hair. Nonetheless, they were having fun. He guessed they were Demeter kids, who spent most of their time outside no matter the weather.
He continued to the cabin, and, as he drew nearer, heard the sound of Clarisse yelling at someone. He heard thumps as fists connected with skin, and immediately broke into a run. Just outside the Ares cabin door, he ran into one of Clarisse's half brothers, Dylan.
"Oh, man," Dylan said upon seeing Chris. He was one of the few in the Ares cabin who actually liked him-besides Clarisse, of course. "I was just going to get you. Clarisse got into a fight with some Apollo kid. As usual."
Chris shook his head in disbelief at his girl. "Any idea what the poor kid did?"
Dylan shrugged. "You know Clarisse. She'll pick a fight over anything."
Chris shook his head again and raced into the cabin. Clarisse was in there, beating up some poor kid who was squealing like a pig. The rest of her siblings, being kids of Ares, were all standing around, a safe distance away, chanting: "Fight! Fight!"
Some were betting. Obviously, they all bet that Clarisse would win.
It didn't look like a very fair fight to Chris. He grabbed hold of Clarisse's arms and hauled her off of the trembling kid. She immediately started to struggle.
"Let-me-go-"
"Hey, hey!" he said. "It's me."
Hearing his voice, she stopped fighting and sagged against him.
"What are you doing here?" She asked rather ungraciously.
"We had a date," he replied amusedly. He'd learned that's how things went with Clarisse.
"Oh," she said, obviously just remembering.
"I'm sorry," she muttered. Clarisse never apologised to anyone.
He smiled and leaned down to kiss her cheek. "It's okay. But you wanna tell me what that fight was about?"
She shifted uncomfortably. "That punk was insulting Ares."
Chris almost groaned. Clarisse was very prideful and she didn't take crap from anybody, was sometimes useful....sometimes it was not.
"Do you really think beating the Hades out of him is going to help?"
"Yes," she replied rebelliously.
He sighed. "You obviously need to cool down a bit. Come on."
He grabbed her hand and pulled her out, past the gawking Ares kids and into the rain. It was only as they were outside that he remembered that he hadn't even bothered to check if the kid was okay.
Dylan will probably take care of it, he told himself.
Just admit that you want to dump him and be with Clarisse, his mind replied.
Okay. Then I will, he thought.
He pulled her closer to him, wrapping his arms around her strong, now slightly shivering-and he suspected it was not just from the rain-frame and kissed her. She softened under his touch, like she always did, melting into him, and when they broke apart, she smiled her rare smile at him.
He leaned his forehead against hers. He couldn't have cared less about the raindrops splattering him at that moment.
"You can't seriously have planned only this," she said. "Not that I'm complaining."
"I planned a picnic on the beach," he explained. "But now it's raining, so I think I'm just going to stand here and kiss you all day."
"I like rain," she remarked.
He grinned. "I figured you would."
There was a chorus of sarcastic applause and the two of them turned to see the Stolls, Leo and half the Hermes cabin. They'd been standing right there, only a few feet away. He had no idea why he hadn't noticed them before.
Actually, he kind of did.
