Chapter 9
Poison soared in the sky touching the clouds, enjoying the feeling of the cool air brushing against her wings. She wanted to fly high and then do a free fall along with other tricks, but she held back. She didn't want Tulip to fall off.
"Do it," Tulip whispered, holding on tighter to my horns. Her voice barely audible.
"You sure?" Poison whispered back, even though every fibre in her body was filled with excitement, she was afraid to break the peaceful silence, fearing that it will disappear.
Poison felt Tulip nodding her head and that was all the confirmation she needed.
Poison flew up above the clouds, feeling the warmness of the sun rays glaring down at her wings. She did a flip in the air. Tulip's contagious giggles making Poison laugh with her. She flew a little higher and finally tucked in her wings, falling freely from the sky. Her eyes fluttered close, a peaceful and radiating smile on her face.
Once she sensed the ground coming close to her, she opened her eyes and just like yesterday, she opened her wing, gracefully cutting through the air she fell into a peaceful flying pace.
Flying closer to the direction Moon was in Poison watched amusedly as Moon swiftly killed a random mountain goat.
"Her movement are precise; she's got a good stance. Hmm..." Poison muttered softly.
"Well, dummy if you were listening to the introductions, you would have known that Moon over there lived in the forest for all her life, so she would need to have good hunting skills to survive," Tulip said to Poison, and even though Poison couldn't see her she was pretty sure that Tulip rolled her eyes at her.
Poison simply ignored her and joined the small crowd that had gathered around Moon.
But what she didn't notice was a certain dragon staring at her with mixed feelings.
They wondered how someone with such a high arrogance could look like a cute and innocent angel in the sky. How she could just so easily fall to her possible death, but swirl up at the perfect moment so gracefully.
And that smile- that beautiful and adorable smile. How could it so easily take their breath away? Was it the fact that it was so rare to see her with such a peaceful and happy expression or was it simply just how genuine it was. How such a small thing as flying, something done on a regular basis, was able to make someone smile like they won a lottery.
Whatever the reason was, Winter knew one thing for certain.
He wanted to see her smile more often.

Poison started gliding back towards the prey centre with the others. She forced the peaceful expression to fall off her face and form back into her signature emotionless face.
Even from a respective distance away from the prey centre, Poison could already hear the ruckus going on. She rolled her eyes, slightly amused yet very irritated.
Just as Poison was about to change her direction and abandon her winglet, instead planning on finding a peaceful spot in one of the mountains to grab some fruits and eat in peace, her eyes landed on Moon. Moon was wincing, like she was in pain.
Poison let out a sigh. If Tulip was right about her not spending her life with the other NightWings on their hidden kingdom, then Moon was likely to have zero experience about controlling her powers.
Poison casually fell into a peaceful flying pace next to Moon, allowing the NightWing to let out a little yell from Poison's unexpected movement. Which was expected because they never really conversed properly.
"I used to have this one wise friend who gave out excellent advice. He once saw how overwhelmed a little dragonet was by being surrounded by so many dragons and all the loud noises they created. He told the little dragonet to think of something calming, such as ocean waves, or raindrops. And to place all the noise into those droplets and let them disappear with the water. The little dragonet said it worked for him, I've tried it too, and it worked, maybe it could help you too," Poison softly spoke. She didn't once look at Moon, but she didn't need to.
Poison flew ahead, next to Kinkajou, seeing no point of staying with Moon anymore. It would only make the situation awkward.
~Moon's POV~
Moon pondered upon the weight of the words the SandWing just told her. Out of all the dragons, Moon least expected her to be the one to give her any sort of advice. It was a really sweet but shocking gesture.
Moon had assumed that Poison didn't really like her. Which was granted considering the Princess never really even glanced in her direction, but after this incident, she had second thoughts. It was also the fact that Poison's voice was so soft, so sweet and angelic like, suiting her Princess title. It was really different from her normal monotone and bored tone, and Moon wished she would speak like this more often... a small selfish part of her wished that she spoke like this only towards her.
But other than that, what shocked Moon the most was that what Poison suggested actually worked.
She really wished she could read the mysterious SandWing Princess' thoughts, but like Turtle there was some kind of barrier stopping her. The only difference was, Poison's barrier was much stronger, and that intrigued her.

When Poison landed at the entrance of the prey centre, without giving any of the dragons around her a single glace, she straight up walked towards a pile of apples, grabbing two. One for her and one for Tulip.
She walked to where Kinkajou and the others were sitting, not bothering to make any conversation. She bit into her apple, savouring how the juices exploded in her mouth.
She fell into a small conversation with Tulip, talking about anything and everything. It was like they were in their own little world, everything around them just turning into dust, not mattering a single bit.
Their anti-social bubble was soon popped, bringing them back to the real world, by the sound of a voice being cleared. They both looked up at the same time, discovering Moon to be the owner of the sound. There was Sora, one of Clay's sisters, standing behind her.
They looked at Moon in confusion, Tulip showing it outwardly, whilst Poison just blankly stared at her.
"Uh, I was wondering if you'd, um, like to go to the library with m-me and Sora?" Moon asked shyly, stuttering a little, not looking directly at her.
Poison cocked an eyebrow at that, but shrugged the stuttering off and looked at Tulip, silently asking her if she wanted to go with her or stay here with Qibli and Kinkajou.
"I dibs Qibs," Tulip said, making her way towards Qibli, before pausing for a second. "Hey, that rhymed!"
She let out a little cheer before continuing her way towards Qibli. After reaching him, she looked at him expectantly. Qibli laughed knowing exactly what that look meant. He picked her up and placed her on his shoulder. He was used to it since Tulip always made that face to him.
"Sure," Poison said, getting up and she's pretty certain she saw Moon's eyes light up at her answer.
Seems like she didn't expect her to say yes.
They walked towards the library in complete silence. Poison's eyes wondering everywhere, acting like she was at a whole new tourist spot with multiple cool things around, even though it was only stone walls.
This was a small habit of hers. It didn't matter if she was passing by an area she sees every day, her eyes just look at every nook of it with fascination. It was weird, but it helped keep her alert and amused.
Poison's gaze snapped towards Moon when she started talking.
"Um," Moon started. "The library is great, isn't it?"
Poison looked at her with amusement dancing in her eyes, wondering if she was actually trying to start a conversation and that too now, when they almost reached the library.
Sora nodded while Poison opted to not saying anything, just watching the drama play out.
"I like the leaf windows," Moon added.
Sora nodded again. "Me too," she whispered.
Poison let her mouth twitch up a little.
"Wow, you both sure know how to be awkward, don't you?" Poison said, her amusement showing in her voice. They both blushed and stayed quiet, causing Poison to let lose a small smile.
They reached the library and Starflight sat up straight turning himself in their direction.
"Hello?" he said tentatively.
"Moon, Sora, and I."
That was all Poison said. It was all she needed to say. When they first met, Starflight was reading a book Poison had read before and loved dearly, which resulted in Tulip glaring daggers at her, forcing her to start a conversation with the blind NightWing. Surprisingly Poison actually enjoyed their talk which caused it to last an hour. In the end they became friends, so Starflight was quite familiar with her voice and way of speaking.
"Oh. Hey Poison, what are you doing here?" Starflight questioned, looking up at Poison's direction. He had a cheery tone to his voice.
"Meh. Need any help?" Poison asked looking at the little stack of scrolls on his desk.
"Uh, yeah can you put away these scrolls?" Starflight asked, pointing to the specific scrolls Poison was looking at.
Poison hummed, grabbing the pile and started placing them in their respective place.
While placing away the last scroll she saw a weird looking scroll about animus' next to the one she just put away. Being the curious dragon, she is, she picked it up and started reading it.
It was a story written by... it doesn't say who, but that's not the point. It was written in the perspective of a... hu-man?
She didn't know what that was, but by the way the character, Wolfie, talked and acted in this scroll, one thing was clear. She definitely wasn't a dragon.
She had brown, skin. Skin. Not scales but 'skin'. Like Tulip.
And she had dark brown hair. Just like Tulip.
She also wore clothes to cover herself. Again, like Tulip.
But for some reason, the author described her as a 'human' not a 'scavenger'.
Are humans another tribe of scavengers or something? Or did the author make the word up?
Also, who names their character 'Wolfie'?!
That is such a weird name.

A/N:
Hi Awesome People!
I have a little question.
And this question is very important!
So, think wisely before answering this question!
Your answer will decide if I choose to continue writing this book or no! (Okay, not really)
So the question is...
........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................ What is your favourite ice-cream flavour?
And yes, that is a VERY IMPORTANT question!
DON'T YOU DARE SAY OTHERWISE!
ICE-CREAM RULES!
Mine is Cookies and Cream!
If you don't have one than that is cool, well sad, but still cool, 'cause not having a favourite flavour doesn't make you any less cool than you already are!
I think I should stop saying cool, shouldn't I?
Tulip: Yeah, you really should, you imbecile *eye roll*
Me: Keep rolling your eyes, maybe you'll find your brain up there, and just get lost!
Tulip: Yeah, yeah, whatever. *Dramatically exists with her cape, that I hadn't noticed before, flying behind her like Snape's cloak does*
Stay Awesome!
Wolfie Out
