*The next day*

Poison woke up at the same time as yesterday, and as usual, she was about on go on her morning flight, but she found her little companion wide awake.

As much as Tulip loved sleeping, it didn't stop the tremendous nightmares to visit her at least once a month. The nightmares had been a million times more terrible when Poison first met her, but over the years they had reduced greatly.

"Hey sweets, wanna go for a ride?"

Tulip nodded her head mutely, her eyes showing how tired she was.

After half an hour of flying around, Poison decided to show her peculiar little friend the magical spot that she had found.

"I-it's beautiful," Tulip whispered staring at the scene in front of her, a dazed and faraway look in her eyes.

"It is," Poison replied not taking her eyes away from the view. They stayed there for a few more minutes, before deciding to head back.

The sun wasn't fully visible in the sky, so when the pair entered their cave, they weren't surprised to find everyone sleeping.

They soundlessly started doing their own thing, Tulip sketching something in her little drawing book, and Poison reading one of her scrolls.

Sometime later Carnelian and Kinkajou woke up, but none of them started a conversation with Poison. Not that she minded. It was nice not having anyone interrupting her reading.

But Kinkajou probably got bored, so she woke Moon up by screaming and bouncing on her tail.

Poison just rolled her eyes at the scene in front of her but put away her scroll and started getting ready for her first class.

Hearing the 'BONG' sound three times the dragons in the caves started their walk to where their class will be, talking the whole time. Carnelian was in the lead with Poison and Tulip close behind, neither of them making any noise as they walked. Kinkajou and Moon, on the other hand, had a whole conversation going on.

Once they entered their first class, Poison saw Tsunami sitting on the ledge grinning at them.

Poison rolled her eyes, making her way over to the SeaWing at a leisurely pace.

"Good Mornin'," Poison greeted, intertwining her tail with Tsunami's.

At her place, on top of Poison's head, Tulip made grabby hands at Tsunami.

The SeaWing chuckled, obeying to Tulip's request, returning Poison's greeting whilst doing so.

"Looks like someone missed me, huh?" Tsunami said, holding Tulip in front of her face.

Seeing Tulip nod her head, like she understood what the SeaWing was asking her, Tsunami let out a small chuckle and Poison let a small smile slip onto her face.

Tsunami placed Tulip on her shoulders and started addressing the rest of the class as the second bong rang through the walls of the cave.

"Welcome to your first class. Nice work finding the right cave. Carnelian, Kinkajou, and Moonwatcher, right? Oh, be impressed, I've been practicing so hard to memorize all of you. Thirty-five new names! Easy as cows for Starflight, but a whole lot trickier for me and Clay, believe me. I mean, it helps that I knew some of you before, of course."

"Like ME!" Kinkajou shouts.

Poison felt vibrations of two dragons near the entrance and not even a minute later, a small MudWing and SeaWing walked in through the entrance of the cave.

"Turtle!" Tsunami said enthusiastically. "Oh, good, I asked to be given your winglet first. Hey, everyone, this is my brother. Can you believe I have a brother? Or a million brothers, apparently, but I'm just assuming this one's the best, since he's here right now." She slung a wing over his shoulders and gave him a toothy grin. She completely forgot about Tulip, causing her to fall backwards, luckily, Poison was there catch her just in time.

Tulip rubbed her head, acting like she bumped it somewhere. She glared at Tsunami but the dragon still didn't notice.

"Oh, so he' one of Tsunami's brother," Poison thought, voicing her thoughts to Tulip.

"He's also an Animus," Tulip stated calmly, causing Poison to almost choke on her own spit.

"What the hell? Dude- you can't just stop dropping bombs on me like that!" Poison hissed at her. She didn't even question how she knew it, knowing that it was going to be off no use. She just excepted the fact that Tulip was not normal.

"Heh," Tulip replied, making a weird expression.

Before Poison could scold her, Turtle started speaking.

"This is my clawmate Umber," Turtle said, turning to the little brown MudWing.

"Oh!" Kinkajou exclaimed. "Clay's brother!"

"That's right," Umber replied, a grin on his face, one that could match Kinkajou's.

"Ooo, the Jade Winglet is so cool," Kinkajou said happily. "I wonder who we'll get for our IceWing and SandWing. Does Sunny have any sisters?"

"Wow dude, I'm hurt," Poison muttered under her breath sarcastically.

"Actually," Tsunami said, "after yesterday, we decided to switch a couple of dragons around, since you guys seemed like a good match." She flicked her tail at Winter and Qibli as they stepped into the cave. "You've already met, you're all interested in scavengers — we think you'll fit well together."

Qibli walked over to Poison, the never falling grin on his face, and intertwined their tales together.

"Mind explaining why we're in same winglet?" Poison asked, raising her eye brow.

"Th- Queen Thorn thought it was a good idea if we were placed in the same winglet," Qibli answered, causing Poison to roll her eyes.

"Let's go around and introduce ourselves," Tsunami started. "I mean, maybe it's unnecessary, but that's what Sunny said to do. And then she said I probably wouldn't listen to her anyway, so I am proving her wrong, so there. I'm Tsunami if anyone didn't know. I was going to give myself a title like Commander of Recruitment, but then for some reason everyone voted that I would be terrible at recruiting, whatever that is all about, so they made me Head of School instead. So, I'm pretty much the boss. And I'm running your first small group-discussion class, which was Glory's big idea, so I figure we'll figure it out together. Any questions?"

"Yeah," Carnelian spoke up. "Are we stuck with this group?"

"That's not quite how I would put it," replied Tsunami. "But yes."

"What if we would prefer to be in a group with other IceWings?" Sparkles- I mean Winter asked. "Such as my sister?"

"That's not how the winglets are set up," Tsunami answered. "But you'll be in some bigger group classes with her and have plenty of time to make other friends as well."

"I love our winglet," Kinkajou volunteered, ever so happily.

"When do we eat?" Umber asked. "Just kidding. Pretending to be Clay." He grinned, then shot a look at Qibli.

Hmm? Is the little MudWing trying to impress Qibli? Damn. Poison stopped a chuckle from escaping her lips.

"Ha! Actually, I brought food," Tsunami said. She cleared aside a tangle of vines and revealed a carved stone bowl full of fish, which she set in the middle of the floor. "Help yourselves."

"Awesome," said Turtle.

"Yuck," Kinkagou exclaimed, Poison doing the same, but muttering, so only Tulip and Qibli was able to hear her.

"I'll wait and have a banana later, thanks," Poison said to Tsunami.

"Right, introductions," said Tsunami. "Carnelian? Want to go first?"

Poison listened to everyone introducing themselves, bored out of her mind.

"Poison, your turn!" Tsunami exclaimed, turning to the said dragon.

"Poison."

Everyone in the cave, except for Qibli and Tulip, looked at her in either surprise or amusement.

Tsunami rolled her eyes and growled at her. "Poison, I want you to properly introduce yourself."

Poison also rolled her eyes, sighing, before giving a proper intro. "I like reading, music and painting. The scavenger on my shoulder is my pet or as she likes to say, 'my bodyguard'. I wouldn't recommend you messing with her, because she can, and will kill you."

Poison gave Tsunami a pointed glare. "Better?"

"Better."

There was silence for some time before it was broken by the almighty nephew of Queen Glacier.

"Can we get on with the discussion?" Winter asked. "What exactly is the point of this?"

"The point is to talk about anything you want to talk about," Tsunami answered. "To find out what dragons from other tribes think and see things from a new point of view. I'm sure it'll be different when you have this class with Starflight or Clay or Sunny, but I, for one, think you guys should pick the topic."

"All right," Winter said. "I want to talk about NightWing powers."

Poison glanced at Moon when he said that. She saw a look of terror cross Moon's face which she fixed before anyone else could notice.

"Maybe we could talk about the war instead," Kinkajou suggested. "I want to know what Queen Thorn is li-"

Poison drowned out the rest of the conversation, way to bored to focus on what was happening.

-go hunting?" Poison heard Tsunami exclaim, her shout brought Poison back to Earth. "I know I do! Great idea, Tsunami! No arguing with the Head of School; off we go!" She shot off the ledge and whooshed away into the clouds.

Carnelian snorted. "I guess that discussion is over," she said.

Poison was about to follow Tsunami, but after seeing Sparkles walk over to Moon, she changed her mind.

Because ✨D R A M A✨

"Hey, Winter, leave her alone," Qibli said, sliding up next to Moon. "She's not the enemy."

"Pyrrhia is at peace now," Turtle agreed. "There are no more enemies."

"You say you don't know anything," Winter said to Moon ignoring Qibli and Turtle. "But you know the other NightWings. You can find out the truth and come back to tell us. Right?"

"Um," Moon replied. "Maybe?"

"I want to know everything about their powers," Winter demanded. "Were they ever real? How do we know they're gone? What else are they lying to us about?" He cleared his throat. "I mean you. What else are you lying to us about?"

"Hey, igloo-face, that's not cool," Qibli barked.

"Yeah, Glitter Boy, piss off, Moon's innocent!" Poison hissed at him, adding a nickname just to tick him off. Though Poison knew very well that what she said wasn't all true.

Winter looked in Poison's direction, glaring at her. He quickly looked away when Poison glared back at him.

"Yeah, Moon's in our winglet," Kinkajou said, bristling. "We're supposed to support each other."

"I'm with igloo-face," Carnelian said. She stood up and stretched her massive wings, making Umber duck so he wouldn't get whacked in the head. "If we're supposed to get all snuggly with each other, there shouldn't be any more secrets. Let's make her tell us everything." Her orange eyes glared at Moon.

"I wasn't joking!" Tsunami yelled, swooping by outside. "We're going hunting! Come on!"

Carnelian stalked to the ledge and leaped out. Umber glanced at the others and then hurried after her.

Turtle shrugged. "Whatever you guys decide." And a moment later he was gone as well, leaving Poison, Tulip, Moon, Kinkajou, Qibli, and Winter facing off.

Moon turned and met Winter's eyes. "All right," she said. "But please stop trying to scare me." She hesitated, but then she added, "You are not as terrifying as you think you are."

He took a surprised step back, and Poison heard Tulip let out a little cheer saying something in her scavenger language.

"Fine," he said. "You find out the truth about NightWing powers ..."

"And you stop threatening everybody," Kinkajou bit.

He paused, and then an unexpected expression creased his face.

"Hey, I didn't promise anything about everybody," he replied. "Just her. I have an IceWing warrior mystique to maintain, after all, come on." He looked at Moon again, and then he turned and jumped out into the sky, flying after Tsunami and the others.

Poison jumped after him seeing that there was no reason to stay anymore. The drama was over.
