Lola's POV

So I looked up this Hayes Grier person who I guess I am related to????? Apparently he is Internet famous because an app called vine, no not an actual vine but an app that allows you to post six second videos.

He also has two older brothers, will and Nash, and an adorable little sister named Skylynn. Occasionally he also posts YouTube videos with Nash.

"LOLA!!!! COME DOWNSTAIRS, I HAVE NEWS!!" My mom yelled from the living room.

"Coming!!!!!" I echoed back as I ran down the stairs.

"So your birth mom called and we talked for a while and she arranged for you to fly down to North Carolina and spend some time with them. Are you comfortable with that?" she asked with a small hint of sadness to her voice as she asked me the last part of her sentence.

"I guess It would be kind of fun" I said faking a smile trying not to make Christine sad or angry. ( I can't tell what emotion she is)

"Ok well that's great because on Wednesday you have a flight at noon to go and see them... all summer" she said "So if I were you I would go break the news to Nolan and Nick that are upstairs waiting for you." she suggested while motioning for me to go upstairs.

"Ok," I said then I turned around to head upstairs, "hopefully they take this well" I said under my breath as I opened the door to Nolan's room with a fake smile.

"Hey buddy! So what were your parents talking about down there??" Nick said with a huge smile on his face, I would hate to wipe it off his face.

"Well... umm, I guess there is no easy way to say this but I am going to get to know my birth family in North Carolina the day after school ends..." I stopped to see their faces go blank.

"For how long???" they both asked me and I felt a lump in my throat,

"All summer :(" I said a little hesitant as I waited for their response. They just stared at me, you could see tears starting to form in their eyes.

"That's amazing!" Nolan said, "Ya this is awesome I'm so happy for you" Nick choked out, trying to cover his tears.

"Thank you guys, I love you both, remember that." I told them, " but its getting pretty late so why don't me and nick head back to my room and we can talk more tomorrow before school?" I asked to make sure they were okay with that.

"Ya okay ill see you two in the morning then," Nolan said climbing into his bed.

I went into my bathroom, changed into sweats and a tank top and jumped in bed. Nick was already changed so we fell asleep. (They are best friends so its not like that).
