Focus.  It's all about focus...  Matter swirls around your outstretched palms, spiraling neatly onto the ground into a recognizable form.  It curls its tail neatly around its front paws and turns its head upwards, watching you intently.

"Aww, you made a fox!"  Jay tickles it underneath its chin, and the vulpine suddenly disintegrates.

"JAY!!!"  Nya screams.

"I'm sorry I killed your fox!!!"  He yelps.

The matter gathers itself again, this time taking shape as a magnificent stallion.  A few moments later, it shrinks into a tiny hamster.

"That is terribly disconcerting."  Zane comments.

"I guess your powers still aren't totally back to normal, then?"  Cole asks.

"Uh, yeah.  That's definitely it."  You mumble.  No way am I telling them that I couldn't decide after all!

Morro sidles up beside you.  "Couldn't choose, huh?"

You elbow him in the ribs sharply.  "Shh!  Not so loudly!"

"Hey, Kai still hasn't summoned anything yet, has he?"

Nya cackles as she watches her brother unsuccessfully attempt to create something, only to have it morph into a colossal fireball.  He screams in terror.  "Nope.  And that's my cue."  She snorts and goes over to help him.

"You're overthinking it, Hot Stuff!"  Rhea calls out.  "It's got to come organically!  Go with the ninja flow!  Find your place-  Er, balance!  Feel the burn!  Just don't let it end you or anything!"

"What'd you say?!!"

"Heh!  I said: Good luck!"

"THAT IS NOT WHAT YOU JUST SAID!!!"

"Last time I checked, I was the trainer here, not you!"

"You're a terrible trainer!"

"How dare you!!!  I've met rock voles with more talent than you!"

Kai gasps.  "You take that back!"  The remains of his doused fireball flare up and transform into a rather impressive lion.  "HA!  I did it!  Finally!"

Rhea turns her nose up at him.  "I told you I was a great trainer."

"You nearly got me killed!"

Emily gives a long-suffering sigh and signs to him.  Believe me, it wouldn't be the first time.

"You want to face all of your worst fears, kid?!!"  Rhea snaps, her hands suddenly encased by ominously glowing disks of teal light.  "..Because I can easily make that happen!!!"

Emily quickly shakes her head, then slyly points at her friend.  No, because you're my worst nightmare.  Then she giggles and dashes away.

Rhea screeches demonically and gives chase, yelling rock vole and cookie-related profanities at her.

"Isn't anyone going to praise me?"  Kai asks sadly.

"You've done a moderately adequate job."  Zane offers.

"Oh, wow.  Thanks, Zane, you really know how to make a person feel special."  Kai grumbles.

"That was truly not my intention."  The nindroid objects.

"Apology accept-  Wait.  What?!!"

"I am merely stating that you do not need another ego boost, Kai.  You already have an extremely self-centered nature.  Except when it comes to your loved ones, I'll admit."

"I'll...  Take that as a compliment..."

"I suppose you would."

"Remember that fire melts ice, buddy."

"I will now tactfully change the subject.  ..What is your lion's name?"

"Blaze.  And you're not supposed to announce when you change the subject!!!"

"But then how would you be aware that the conversation's shifted?"

"By using my ears!"

"We have ears?"

"Just forget it.  I'm waking Lloyd up.  Jay, give me your octopus."

Jay hugs Spark tightly.  "Don't hurt him!"

"I'm not hurting-  Wait, Lloyd or the octopus?"

"Spark.  Duh."

"Okay then, we're fine.  Gimme."

Jay complies and passes Kai the creature, which gives the Fire Ninja a suspicious look before being placed on Lloyd's chest.

"Do your thing, little dude.  CLEAR!!!"

Lloyd suddenly screams as a presumably high (perhaps even fatal to a lesser being) voltage passes through his traumatized young body.  "AAAAAHHH, MY HEART!!!  MAKE IT STOP!!!  DEAR GRANDFATHER, PLEASE HELP ME!!!"

"He's awake now."
