Acronix gulps.  "M-My b-brother?"

You stare levelly at him.  "Yes."

"Wouldn't you rather learn how to stay forever young?  Tap-dance?  Convert foreign currency into a usable denomination suitable for island life in these troubled economic times?"

Morro blinks at you.  "What's he blathering on about?"

"He's trying to distract us, I bet!  But we're not dumb enough to fall for that, right, guys?!!"  You turn to the others, who are all fawning over Acronix.

"I never did get the hang of tapdancing while I was at Marty's."

"Stay young forever?  Man, Skylor would love it if I-"

"KAI!!!"

"I must agree.  Knowledge of useful monetary conversions is bound to come in necessary at some point in time in the near future-"

"GUYS!!!"

"Oh, right."  Lloyd shushes the other ninja.  "Carry on."

"Thank you."  You grumble, then bare your teeth at Acronix.  "Tell us what we want to know."

"..Or else what?"

"Or else I'll never release you from that chair."

"HE'S ON AN ISLAND!!!!"

"We're on an island, Wise Guy."

"He's on a different island, then!"

"Kai, light this guy up."

"With pleasure."  Kai summons up a fireball.  "One obnoxious Time Twin, extra crispy, coming right up!  Let's incinerate this sucker!!"

"THE DARK ISLAND!!!"  Acronix squeaks out, then clears his throat and continues normally.  "He's on the Dark Island, okay?  Now let me go!"

"Not until we check to see if you're telling the truth or not."

"But-!"

"-I'll stay behind and keep an eye on him."  Rhea offers.

Ava ignores her and turns to Emily.  "Em, since I've raised you as I would my own child, I want to entrust you with guarding him.  Is that okay with you?"

Emily grins and gives her a thumbs up.

"Excuse me, but she's still just a kid!!!"  Rhea screeches.

"So are you, technically."

"How come you never let me be in charge?!!"

Ava sighs.  "Fine.  Rhea, you're in charge."

Rhea fist-pumps.  "YAAASSS!!!"

Ava pats Emily on the shoulder and quickly whispers to her.  "Em, you're secretly in charge."

The girl rolls her eyes and shrugs her shoulders as if to say: Well, duh!

"Okay, Em!  I've got big plans for our time here today!"  Rhea announces.  "Come hither, delinquent, and be amazed!!!"

Emily makes an indignant noise, but goes over to her, anyways.

"Okay!  First, we'll go canoeing in that hot tub we saw earlier-"

Emily grunts and points a finger at Acronix.

"Oh, yeah...  Well, we'll deal with him first, I guess..."

Emily crosses her arms and nods firmly.  Darn right!

"They'll be okay, right?"  Morro asks Ava.

"I-  Um..."  Ava hesitates for a moment, then continues,  "..Sure..?"

"Now wait a second-!"

"-What we don't know can't hurt us!!!"  Ava shouts out over him loudly.

"LET'S GO!!!"  You yell out jubilantly.

Morro's gaze softens as he looks at you, and he smiles as you continue,  "We're going to finally fix my powers!!!"

A.N: I simply must write a oneshot about what Rhea and Emily will get up to while they're left behind.  Is anyone interested?  😸
