Date : 17th July 2021
Day : Saturday

"Putri!" Drupad called. Draupadi who was lying on her bed got up. Tears which were rolling from her eyes had stopped but the tears from her heart didn't.

She got up as her parents came to her and sat beside her. Draupadi was not someone who was a silent girl unlike others of her age. Her cheerful talks didn't end and her mouth was not given rest at any time. But today, she was all silent which was a rare sight.

"Putri, speak something." cried Sumathi. She couldn't bare her daughter's silence anymore.

"What should I speak?" Draupadi asked mechanically.

"You are not like this. You were always a joyful girl. Now we both can't bare this silence." Drupad spoke.

Letting out a teary chuckle, Panchali said, "Do you expect me to have a wide smile like always after all this?"

"Putri, but what we did was for your well being, for your future." Sumathi tried to explain.

"I didn't tell what you did was wrong. But to digest all this sudden information, I need time. Please give me that." Krishnaa said.

Getting up she walked to the mirror, "Anyways, we can't have this gloomy faces. It's bhrata Dyumna's wedding and being a sister, I can't have this dull face. No, never. I am so hungry. Shall we have our food?"

Drupad and Sumathi smiled a bit. They knew that she was hiding her pain but they also knew their daughter. The tears will not let the fire in her burn off.

They all went to the dining hall. Everyone were already present there except Arjun. Everyone with a pale face. Kunti came to Draupadi to speak to her.

But Draupadi stopped her, "No mata. If it is about whatever happened today morning, then I don't want to hear it. I want to be happy. It's my dearest brother's wedding. I can't stay gloomy. I don't want to remember the truth again. Let's have the dinner. Please."

No one talked much, they wanted the same. Peace. And silence definitely was the best option for it. Krishna passed a smile to Draupadi who returned it back.

"Bhrata, I know you are feeling guilty. You need not. I am fine. But to be completely okay, I will need time and if you behave like this, it's impossible for the old Draupadi to come back. Please bhrata Dyumna." Panchali requested after dinner when Dyumna and she was alone.

"How can I not feel guilty Panchali? When I saw you crying so uncontrollably and when you told me to go out of the chamber away from you, I felt millions of daggers peireced. I can never forget myself for that." Dyumna cried.

"It's not your fault bhratashri! Don't blame yourself. It's nobody's fault. It's just the decision which was taken of circumstances. Don't blame anyone. Please. It's your wedding. For you, for bhabhi, for me, please be happy." Krishnaa begged and walked away wiping her tears.

She walked to the garden again. Being in her chamber crying had put her mood off. She didn't want to go there again and remember the events yet again.

On the way she saw Duryodhan standing as if waiting for someone. She didn't wanted to talk to him so she acted as if she didn't see him and walked but he stopped her by calling her. She just hummed to his call.

"I suppose you are very sad by what happened today." Duryodhan started.

"I don't want to speak about it now Rajkumar. It's already late, please go and get some sleep."

"I can't sleep seeing you and my brother Arjun in pain... I will help you. Tell me what you wish to. I will help you escape from here and-"

"If I want, I will go by myself. Thanks for the offer but keep it for yourself. Enjoy your stay in Panchal. Good Night." Draupadi interrupted and walked away to the pond.

She kept on staring at nothing particular. Gradually, she observed the whole surroundings. It was the shashti night past Purnima. The moon shone half and the twinkling stars gave some light to the environment. Else, it was all dark just like her heart.

She sensed someone behind her and she knew it was him. He was not present for dinner. She didn't know where he had been but she had heard from Rukmini that he might have been to Magadh.

The maids round the palace were murmuring that he loved the princess of Magadh. Now, it was time to take a firm decision which would affect 3 lives.

"What's your final decision?" She initiated.

"I am clueless. I don't know what to do." Arjun sighed.

"Right now, I want to be happy for my brother's wedding. The decisions of our life can be taken later. What do you say?" Draupadi asked and got hum in reply.

"Thank you and sorry." she replied and started to go away.

"Rajkumari wait." Arjun stopped her. She turned back while Arjun spoke, "I was loving the princess of Magadh. I don't know whether you know or not."

"I knew. Bhabhi Rukmini told me. But may I ask why you are using 'WAS'?" She asked hesitantly.

"She don't want this relationship to continue." He choked.

"Is it because of the truth that we got to know today?" Draupadi asked. Arjun hummed controlling his tears and said whatever happened.

"She is coming to Panchal. I will talk to her. You both need not sacrifice for me. Enough of everything. We are married in our childhood and we can't break it. It's not a great option if she let goes of you for me. You need not worry. I will talk to her when she comes here. But, can I have a request from your side?" Draupadi asked.

"What is it?" Arjun asked confused.

"It's something difficult that I am asking for. But please try to fulfill it. Please try to be happy... It's bhrata's wedding. I don't want the mood to be spoilt with our gloominess. Please." Draupadi asked tears in her eyes.

"I understand. I completely understand. And I assure you, the truth that came out today will not affect Yuvraj Dyumna's wedding." Arjun replied smiling a bit.

"Thank you so much!"

"Thanks to you too!" Arjun said and both parted their ways reaching their chamber.
