I quickly get out of bed, and before doing anything else at all, I re-make my bed and tuck the covers in military-style.

Even though my dad told me it was not my fault, I felt like somehow it was my fault. If I had picked up the signs and called the police my mom wouldn't be dead.

With a sigh I sprinted into my bathroom and took a quick warm shower to wake myself up along with warming my cold body.

After drying my body off and blow drying my long hair as I ran a brush through it.

Today I was starting at a new high school because my father was stationed here a little over a week ago.

I got dressed  before heading back into the bathroom to put my hair into a front fishtail braid.

Then I noticed the time, grabbed everything I needed including; My phone, 4 pencils, 5 notebooks, and other things.

" KAS! COME ON!", I heard my father yell. " YOU'RE BODYGUARDS ARE HERE TO DRIVE YOU TO SCHOOL AND KEEP AN EYE ON YOU!"

I rolled my eyes.

" I KNOW YOU'RE NOT ROLLING YOUR EYES AT ME MISSY!"

I sighed + rolled my eyes again before descending the stairs and walking to the living room where my father + Blaze + Brai were waiting for me.

" BLADEY!!!! BRAIZY!!!", I exclaimed cheerfully as I ran over to them gave them both a hug which they hugged me back.

The comfortable silence was broken by none other than my father who cleared his throat.

I already knew that he had a pout on his face and it was confirmed when I turned around to face my father.

" You know for a 36 year-old-man, Blaze and Brai who are 22 and 21 act a lot more mature than you do", I sassed before hugging him making Blaze and Brai laugh out loud.

" KASANDRA FAITH BLACK!!!", My father roared a few seconds after I had let go and ran out the front door to the waiting car.

" LUV YOU FATHER!"
