As I get back to the girls, I start thinking about everyone I know from the village. Vylad. He's a shadow knight, but he's on Lady Aphmau's side. Garroth, he lets his emotions take control, but that wasnt his voice. Laurance. Laurance is in the Nether, so it can't be him. I enter the girls' room, and close the door. "Do you girl's wanna finish playing tag?" The girls look behind me, at the door. The man from the room. He looks familiar. Too familiar. I take the girls into my arms, and run into a side room. I put them down, and close the door. I can tell that the man followed us, because he is trying to get into the room. I have a bad feeling. I pull Alina and Lillith close and whisper something in their ears. They nod and run towards the stairs. They disappear, leaving me to fend off the man. He breaks through door, and unsheathes his sword. He holds it to my neck, pinning me to the ground.
                        
                       ???? P.O.V  

"You have an immense ammount of power radiating off of you. Did you know that? Obviously, you were smart and sent the girls to get a guard who will get here just after i kill you, and then I'll kill the black haired one, Alina." I dig my sword, deeper against her neck. My sword is really a beauty in itself, purple in the middle. It probably hurts, but shes showing almost no signs of pain. "I can't tell if this is hurting you or not, so im guessing its not." I dig the jagged ends deeper into her skin, and blood comes out of a wound mark. Footsteps come running down the stairs, and the sound of chainmail armour clanking together. I dig the sword deeper, and finally, Garroth comes down the stairs. "So you've come to join the party? Too late, now. She's going to die."
                       Kai's p.o.v.
I felt pain. I felt alot of pain. But i ignored it. I focused on the people i love. The people i care about. Lady Aphmau, her smile. The girls, and their playfulness. Garroth, and his devotion. I close my eyes and ignore the pain. I ignore the fact that Garroth is yelling. I focus on the people i care about, and i see myself around them. I see Alina turning 10, Lillith turning 15. I see Garroth, teaching kids how to be guards. I see Aphmau sitting with the townspeople, comforting them after the fire that destroyed. I see myself helping. I focus on positive energy, and push the man off of me. I pass out, but i know I'm not dead.
                        Garroth pov
A white light. Thats all i saw. A blinding, white light. It was weird, almost like, a Divine was with us. I run and check on Kai. She's unconscious, but still alive. She has a gash, a very deep gash, in the middle of her neck. "Of course she uses her power. Just as she starts to die, she keeps herself alive. If she wanted to survive, she shouldn't have spied on my conversation. She has seen me, and needs to die." Spy? Kai isnt the kind to spy on someone?  "Look, just leave Kai alone. She didnt mean to spy on you, or your conversation. Now please, get out."
"Go back to the Nether, where you came from. Gene."
Dante walks in, and obviously has met this man before. "Well well well, haven't seen you in a while, bro! You've grown. Gotten all big and tall, havent ya! Become a guard, huh? By the uniform, I'd think Head Guard. Following your brothers footsteps."  "My brother died years ago. You're not him. Now go back to whatever shadowy figure you serve and tell him that you failed your mission, and that the woman you tried killing almost killed you. Because, obviously, you can some of the most powerful people, but you cant kill a simple 16 year old little girl. How pathetic. What are your lackeys going to think?"  I notice what he's doing, and pick up Kai. The wound in her neck has stopped bleeding, but she still hasnt woken up. I carry her up the stairs, into my room. I have a first aid kit there. I can't do much, but i can put a patch over it to make sure that it wont get infected. The girls are still under my bed, and I tell them to stay there. I carry Kai back down, and to where i know we have a healer on hand. I pass Lady Aphmau, who follows me. "Are the girls safe?" I nod my head, and go into a room.
