Chapter 8- Bending At First Sight

Korra slowly opened her window to check on any White Lotus members. When the coast was clear, she quietly jumped out of her window and landed on the ground. She ran off to the edge of a cliff and jumped, bending the water to catch her fall.

She swam towards the Pro-bending arena, jumping at the side of the building and through a window where she got inside.

"What are you doing?"

Korra fought the urge to scream, quickly turning around to see you looking at her, rubbing your eye sleepily, ears flicking up and down.
"I thought you were asleep!" She whispered-yelled, and you nodded.
"I was, but then I heard you leave," You mumbled and looked around.

"Are you... going to tell on me?" She timidly asked, but you just gave her a grin.
"And have my own fun ruin? No way! This pro-bending sounds awesome, and I wanna see it up close!" You excitedly said, tail wagging, and Korra gave a sigh of relief.

"Okay, but your hair is going to attracted unwanted attention. Do some spirit magic and keep it hidden," She explained, and you thought for a moment.
"How about I disguise myself as this!" You closed your eyes, and your body started to glow, quickly shifting you into the same animal you saw when you first got here.

Korra stared in fascination at the sight of you turning into something, and you climbed onto her shoulder.
"How do I look?" You asked her, and she gave a silent chuckle, petting your head.

"A Tiger Monkey, eh? Seems casual enough,"

She started to walk through the hallway and stopped at a big gym of sorts.
"Woah..." You gasped, looking at the equipment and nets.
"Hey! What're you doin' in my gym?" You both jumped and Korra turn to see an old man walking up to you both.

"Uh, I was just looking for a bathroom and I got lost," Korra lied, but the old man huffed.
"Ah, the old "I had to pee" excuse! You know, I'm sick and tired of you kids sneakin' in without payin'! I'm taking you to security!" He glared, and you were about to speak up, but remembered that animals don't talk, so you shut your mouth.

"No, wait!" Korra started, but then heard another voice.
"There you are! I've been looking everywhere for you! It's all right Toza, she's with me," A boy around Korra's age walked in. He had a red suit, black hair and green eyes.

"Yeah, I'm with him," Korra smiled, going along with it.
"So, you see, we're together," The boy continued, and you tilted your head in confusion.
"Well, not together together, more like friends," Korra quickly bursted his bubble.

"Right, friends. No, no, I didn't mean to imply," He backtracked.
"Oh, you implied it," Korra whispered.
"Ah, I don't care what you are! I got work to do," Toza huffed and walked off to pick up some weights.
"Right this way, miss," The boy motioned for her to walk.

"And thank you sir! Seriously, thanks," Korra whispered and you three made your way into a room, where it was revealed to be a balcony to see the pro-bending matches.
"Whaddya think? Best seats in the house, huh?" The boy raised an eyebrow and smiled as you and Korra watched in awe.

"Whoa! Unbelievable! This place is even more amazing than I imagined!" Korra beamed, and you jumped off of her shoulder.
"Name's Bolin, by the way," The boy piped up.

"Korra," She nodded, and motioned to you.
"And this is... Pebble!" She quickly said, showing the chipped tooth you had. You stared at her in confusion, but rolled with it.
"Bolin!" You leaned to see another boy walking in.

"Yeah?" Bolin walked up to him.
"I told you, you have to stop bringing your crazy fangirls in here before the matches. Get her out of here," He pointed at Korra, making Bolin frown a little.

"Come on, Mako! Right, look, I kinda promised her she could stay, but man, I got a good feeling, there's somethin' special about her. I know it!" Bolin reassured him, then pointed to you.

"Plus she has a Tiger Monkey! Those animals are practically worshipped here!" He whispered with excitement, making the other boy roll his eyes. Bolin then guided you and Korra over.
"Come here, I want you to meet my brother, Mako," He smiled as Mako grabbed his helmet.

"Mako? Wow, I-I heard you playing on the radio.
"Come on, Bolin, we're up," Korra quickly stood up straighter and held her hand out. Mako simply walked away as you hopped on her shoulder.

"... Or I could meet him later," She mumbled.
"Yeah, sorry about that. My brother just gets real... focused before a match. Okay, I gotta go, wish me luck. Not ... that I'll need it," Bolin smiled once more before grabbing his own helmet and walking off, the third member of the team following behind.

"Good luck. Knock 'em out!" Korra shouted, and the door closed. You shifted back and stood over the window.
"This is very exciting! This all remind me of something, but I don't know where," You told the Avatar as humans cheered.

"Introducing, the Fire Ferrets!!" An announcer called out, and the three players walked onto the platform.
"Really?" Korra asked you, and you nodded.

"The rookie Ferrets came from out of nowhere and have made it further than anyone expected this season. But tonight, they face their toughest test yet, folks," The human known as Shiro Shinobi talked into the mic.

A bell was rung, and they started.
"And they're off! The two teams waste no time trying to blast each other out of zone one!" You and Korra watched as the first Fire Ferret player was knocked over into the water.
"Come on Ferrets!" Korea shouted, and your tail wagged a little at the scene in front of you.

"Look how they move! They'll make the earth rumble!" She beamed, and you stopped, eyes widening a little at that.

"Rumble...?"

That name, Earth Rumble Six, that sounded very familiar, like you... hold on.
"Earth Rumble...? Wait-!" You stood up fast and got the boys' attention.

"Wait, this is Gaoling right?" You asked the boys, making them look at each other.
"Duh," He said as if it was obvious, but you gintoed that as your eyes widen with shock and excitement.

"What is it?" He asked you as you turned around all excitedly.

"Hold onto your bags guys, because we're going to Earth Rumble 6!"

"Rumble 6..." You whispered out, feeling a little woozy.
'What was that?' You thought, but then you got snapped out of your head as Korra cheered out. You jumped and looked down to see Mako knocking the last Tiger-dillo player out.

"It's a knockout! What a wing-dinger of a hat trick, folks! Mako pulls off the upset of the season, winning the match for the Fire Ferrets!" Shiro announced and you quickly shook your head, shifting back into your disguise and hopped on Korra's shoulder.

"Woohoo! Yes!!" Bolin jumped into the balcony and beamed brightly.
"One more win and we're in the championship tournament!" He squealed, and took off his helmet, turning to you and Korra

"So, what'd ya think, Korra? Pebble? Bolin's got some moves, huh?" He gave a sly grin, and you tilted your head at his tone.
"What did I think? What did I think?! That was amazing!" Korra cheered and picked up Bolin, pushing him back.

You just tuned everyone out for a second, trying to remember what memory you just had. You were in a village, talking to two humans. Who were they? What is a rumble 6? Who were those other humans in blue and orange?
