Chapter 4- One To Another

"You all seem-"

SMASH

"A little stressed out-"

THUMP

"Maybe a song-"

CRASH

"Will make you all-"

WOOSH

"Feel better!!"

"So apparently some therapy is in order," You muttered as you dodged another wire clashing down on you. For some reason, the ground kept shooting out rock pillars and blocked them from attacking you.

"A sense of a problematic family issues," You noted at the woman, who kept on swinging the wires at you.
"The urge to feel dependent, even if you want to desire of assistance," You swung around a pole and hopped on a human's head to get away.

"And a shred of fear of feeling intimate with another, wether romantic or platonic," You finished as you climbed up a tree to dodge any more attacks.

"You best stop talking now or else!" The woman growled, and you felt the wired wrap around your wrist again.
"Ack! Let go!!" You pulled your arm as much as you can, trying to get the wires off.

SWOOSH

Your arm suddenly morphed into something hot and orangey red. It hit the ground hard and burned the grass harshly.
"Woah..." You said in awe as your arm retracted back to normal and you flexed your fingers in fascination.

"Sorry for the property damage, I have to go and find my Sifus!!" You called out, and quickly launched yourself into the sky. High above the homes, you twisted your body to try and find any signs to go back to the spirit world, but you suddenly froze in the air.

Slowly floating down, you saw a giant statue, a human boy, with old fashion clothing, a staff in front of him, and an arrow on his head.

"Huh...?"

"Don't you ever think that I'll stop loving you. No matter what will happen, during and after war, nothing is going to stop the love that pours from my heart to you," You leaned in and you felt his breath hitch a little.

"No matter if we're in a poly relationship or not, I still love you, Avatar or not," You then kissed him on the lips, and he immediately melt at the touch. You pulled away and gave him a hug, in which he hugged back, letting a tear fall.

"I love you too,"

"Av... at... ar...?" You mumbled, no longer seeing the statue and you were floating back down. You then felt something wrapped around your ankle, and you swiftly pulled downward. You hit the ground rough, and you felt your vision grow black.

"Hold her down guys, make sure she doesn't get away," You heard the woman tell the other humans. But before you fully passed out, you utter one last thing.

"...Avatar..."

"What was the reason for you to contact me Lin? You know I'm going through a rough time in Republic City at the moment, so this better be-"

"I know about the trouble in the city, you idiot. You know I would never call you to be around me unless it's an upmost emergency Tenzin," Lin glared at the taller man, who had blue arrows on his body, and orange and red clothing.

"I apologize Lin," Tenzin bowed his head, and Lin scoffed.
"Now, what was your problem at the park?" He asked the woman as the two of them stopped in front of the metal door to the interrogation room.

"This was my problem," The doors open to allow Lin reveal you. You were sleeping, or rather still unconscious, with a blanket covered over you and and pillow being tucked in your arms. One officer was was softly rubbing your back as another was being careful around your hair.

"This thing has come out of nowhere and smashed the front of a sato-mobile by picking it up with ease," She explained as an officer placed your Lute on the counter.
"And they insisted on singing a song to us when we first got to the scene, also was able to create lava from their limbs. Not surprising, considering the hair," She sighed and rubbed her face with her hands.

"Please take them away, I don't want to see them near me," She firmly told Tenzin. All Tenzin did was watch your sleeping form, in absolute awe at what he was seeing.
"A spirit..." He mumbled, walking closer and kneeled down in front of you.

You hummed in your sleep as you breathed out something.
"Vatar..." You whispered and hugged the pillow tighter. Tenzin said nothing as he stood up again and turned to Lin.

"I will take full responsibility for this spirit, and I will make sure they will never go near you again," He explained.
"You better," She hissed, marching over to where you are, staring at you for one more moment, before she wrapped the blanket around her and picked you up with ease.

"Here," She placed you into Tenzin's arms, and Tenzin bowed one more time before leaving the police department. He looked down at your face, feeling like he has seen you somewhere before.

"Let's get you somewhere safe little one,"

"Shhh, I think they're waking up!"

"You think they're friendly?"

"Ow, move Ikki!"

You let out a small groan as you slowly woke up, feeling light shine down on your eyes. You gave out a big yawn as you sat up. You rubbed your eyes as you looked around to notice that you're in a room, and humans were around the bed you were in.

"Wh-"

"HI THERE SPIRIT!! NICE TO MEET YOU!!"

You let out a startled noise and backed away in fear, pulling the blankets over yourself.
"Meelo! You're scaring the poor thing!" You heard a voice that didn't came from the small humans.
"But mom, it's afraid of us! We should show dominance!" The human named Meelo whined.

"Why do you have to be dumb Meelo?" Another human scoffed.
"I'm not dumb, you're dumb Ikki!" Meelo argued back, and the two humans started to argue more. One last human rolled her eyes and looked at you with a soft smile.

"Don't listen to them. Hi, I'm Jinora," She told you, and you lifted up the blanket to look at her. You gave a small grin before the door opened and one tall human and another walked it.

"Hello there little one, my name is Tenzin, this is my wife Pema, and these are my children," The tall human told you calmly, and you quickly pulled your Lute that was on the side of the bed close to you. You nodded at them, and felt calmer at their tone of voices.

"Remarkable, an actual spirit, in our home too," He muttered, watching you with fascination, and you suddenly felt smaller at their stares. You quickly shook it away and smiled at them, pulling out your Lute.
"I can also do this," You began to strum your Lute, a calming and melodic tune played.

As you kept playing, things around you started to glow a green and orange color, floating upward and flying around gently with each string you struck.
"Don't fall in love with a traveling girl, she'll leave you broke and broken hearted!" You sang, humming the rest of the tune with the feeling of warmth in you.

"Woah..." Jinora said in awe as a cup floated in front of her, and she grabbed it gently.
"This is," Ikki started as Meelo jumped up with excitement.

"So cool!!" He beamed and ran around to catch any floating things. You just gave a toothy smile as you continued to play your Lute. Tenzin watched as he felt something in him.

Something familiar.

"What was your name? I never got it," He interrupted you, making you turn your head to face him, still playing.
"That's because I didn't throw it," You laughed and spun around.

"I don't have a name, but I would love to take your name," You joked, before humming the tune again, not noticing the looks Tenzin and Pema shared, before they turned to you.

"If I may ask you spirit, what kind of spirit are you? There are many kinds, and they represent part of the world," Jinora pushed further.
"I don't know, really. I got here by..." You stopped, no longer remembering how you got here.

"I... don't know... what I am," You trailed off, only plucking your strings and drooped your ears. Pema noticed a change in your hair.
"Don't worry little one. In the meantime, we'll take care of you," She soothed you, and you looked at her with wide eyes.

"You mean it?" You asked her. The kids and Pema all looked at Tenzin, waiting for his response, and you looked at him too with a head tilt. He paused for a moment, until he sighed and nodded.

"Of course,"
