Chapter 17- Why Is Love Affecting Your Life? Just Throw It Away!

You were in the training room, trying to strum out the tune in your head.
"Let's see... lovers... forbidden love... one way to find each other..." You muttered, until you finally got a rhythm.

"Two lovers, forbidden from one another. The war divides their people. And a mountain divides them apart, build a path to be together!" You sang, about to say the rest of the words, but was interrupted by crying.

You turned your head to see Bolin, running away with tears in his eyes and Pabu following behind.
"Boulder boy? What's wrong?" You questioned as Bolin sat next to you, still sobbing and pulling his knees to his chest.

"Talk to me, something bad has happened, huh?" You tried to comfort the human, and he lifted his head up slightly for you to see his wrecked face. Tears and snot everywhere, it made you shiver with disgust.

"K-Korra kissed- A-and Mako K-kissed- and- A-And-!" He continued to sob, and you lifted your tail to wipe his gross tears.
"Hey, how about I make you some of my famous spicy curry? My Spirit Sifus love it. Let's get those bad thoughts out of your head," You offered with a smile, making Pabu perk up and Bolin merely sniffing now.

"O-okay..."

"I'm telling ya, humans are very one sided when it come to love," You hummed, setting the 16th bowl of spicy curry for Bolin. He quietly thanked you as Pabu was already full from his 23rd bowl.
"Am I nothing more than the guy girls choose to practice with?" Bolin managed to sob out.

"Of course not. Sifu Vatar may be my Sifu, but she's not good at love at all,"  You sighed, shaking your head.
"Have you been the other man?" He sniffed, which made you grin.

"No. I haven't. Mostly because I didn't experience love as a spirit. But if I were human, I would want someone who is nice, sassy, and an incredible person to be around," You listed off, thinking about a blurry faced human.
"You'll find someone Boulder Boy, I promise," You reassured him.

With that, you heard a door open from the kitchen, and saw Mako walking in.
"Hello Homewrecker," You hummed, making him wince a little and spotted Bolin.
"Come on. Wake up. Taking you home, bro," Mako placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Don't call me that. You're not my brother! You're a brother betrayer! The only one I can trust anymore is my buddies! My buddies loves me!" Bolin reached over to pet Paru and pat your head.

"You're a mess, and we've got the biggest match of our lives tonight. Let's go," Mako sighed.
"No! I'm not going anywhere with you, you traitor!" Bolin wailed. You and Mako looked at each other and he picked up his brother, throwing him over his shoulder.

"See you later, Homewrecker," You called out, picking up the bowls. Pabu fell off the table and crawled behind the brothers.
"It wasn't like that!" Mako shouted back, but you just tsked.

"Sure it wasn't,"

In the waiting room, you cringed at the performance the three humans were giving. Bolin is too uncoordinated, Korra is too aggressive, and Mako is too slow to react. Bolin was hit harshly against the stomach, which made him gag and hurl the curry up.
'My bad,' You thought.

"They had better pull themselves together for round two, otherwise they can kiss the finals goodbye," You buried your face into your hands, not wanting to continue watching.
"And the Avatar is slapped with the yellow fan. The Ferrets are their own worst enemy right now. It's just sad to watch. With the Buzzard Wasps leading two rounds to zilch, the Ferrets' only hope of winning is with a knockout," The announcer said as Korra was harshly messing with one of the enemies' players.

"Bolin's knocked into zone two, followed quickly by his brother! And Bolin takes a zinger to the shoulder! Looks like it's a clean hit," You were pacing around as Bolin's arm was injured.

"The Ferrets' dream of making it to the finals now rests in the Avatar's hands. But with three on one, I don't like her odds," You secretly prayed Raava that she'll win, for the sake of not losing due to love trouble.

"What an unbelievable effort here by Korra! She's dodging every element the Wasps throw at her! The Avatar finally gains some ground, but with only ten seconds remaining, it might be too little too late!" Just then, Korra knocked all three out with a quick water whip.

"It's the big kibosh! What a knockout! It didn't seem possible, folks, but the Fire Ferrets are headed to the finals!" You cheered loudly as the three came up to the waiting room. You ran to hug all three, lifting them up with ease.

"I'm proud of you three!" You said and set them down, leaving them in awe.
"We've got to talk about your strength," Bolin mumbled, but was quickly hit on the head by a rolled up newspaper, along with Korra and Mako.

"No more clashing with each other because of this "love" thing! Understand?!" You crossed your arms, making them rub their own arms and sheepishly looked away.
"Yes ma'am," They mumbled, a little ashamed they were being scolded by a spirit.. Then, the door opened and three other humans walked in, including Tahno.

"Ooh, oof. You boys smell something in here? Wait, I know what that is; yeah, that's the scent of losers," He smirked in a mocking tone.
"I hope we see you in the finals. Then we'll know who the losers really are," Korra glared.

"Yeah, I'm peeing my pants over here," Tahno scoffed, making you go in between them and hiss at him, causing for him to take a step back just in case you vomit again.

"And now, the defending champs, the White Falls Wolfbats!" The Announcer said as Asami walked in and hugged Mako.
"Great job! What a comeback, Korra. I've never seen a hat trick like that," Asami complimented. You were sending an awkward aura from Korra, which you had to admit, made you giggle.

"Thanks! But, if it hadn't been for you and your father, we wouldn't have had the chance to play. So thank you," Korra rubbed her neck awkwardly.
"Uh, if everyone's done with the little "thank you" party, need some medical attention over here," Bolin called out.

"Hello again! We haven't properly met in the Gala, I'm Asami," The human smiled kindly at you, making you realized you were in the human form. You shook her hand but just as you were about to speak, the Announcer shouted.

"Your winners, the Wolfbats!" That made you look over to see the Wolfbats getting praised by the audience.
"That was so quick," You mumbled. Everyone peered through the open window to see they won due to a knockout. It was only the first round, and they won so easily.

"With a brutal round one knockout, the defending champs secure their spot in the finals. I hope the Ferrets know a good doctor, 'cause they're gonna need one!" The other opponents were getting carried away in a stretcher. You looked back at the three humans and patted Korra on the hand.

"I'll do more praying to Raava,"

"Not helping!"
