Chapter 13- Feeling Guilt For Nothing

Eventually, you three found out where the Revelation was with a map behind the posters, and at night, you were ready to sneak in.
"A couple I get, but a baby?" Mako questioned, as you were bundled up in a blanket, pretending to be a baby.

"Eh, she wanted to come with," She whispered, and stopped in front of a doorman.
"This is a private event. No one gets in without an invitation," He huffed out and crossed his arms.
"Uh... invitation?" Just as you were about to knock the doorman out, Mako took out the flyer.

"You mean this?" He asked, handing him the flyer.
"The Revelation is upon us, my brother and sister. And the future of equality," The doorman allowed you all in.

"I knew a lot of people hated benders, but I've never seen so many in one place. Keep your eyes out for Bolin," Mako said as you looked down at all of the non-bending humans.
"Please welcome your hero, your savior ... Amon!" A man exclaimed as a masked human was lifted onto stage.

You gave a low hiss, which had Korra to hush you.
"My quest for equality began many years ago. When I was a boy, my family and I lived on a small farm. We weren't rich, and none of us were benders," Amon spoke up.

"This made us very easy targets for the firebender who extorted my father. One day, my father confronted this man, but when he did, that firebender took my family from me. Then, he took my face. I've been forced to hide behind a mask ever since," He turned away, and you thought for a moment.

'Sounds familiar,' You thought.
"As you know, the Avatar has recently arrived in Republic City. And if she were here, she would tell you that bending brings balance to the world. But, she is wrong. The only thing bending has brought to the world, is suffering," Everyone booed at the mention of the Avatar.

"It has been the cause of every war in every era. But that is about to change. I know you have been wondering, "What is the Revelation?" You are about to get your answer," He looked around into the crowd.

"The spirits have acted as guardians of our world, and they have spoken to me. They say the Avatar has failed humanity," That made you freeze, and Korra tensed up, turning her head to you.
'That's not true. No humans have been spoken to any spirits. Aye Aye said we are to never gift a human anything, he's saying lies!' You gave a low whimper/hiss.

"That is why the spirits have chosen me to usher in a new era of balance. They have granted me a power that will make Equality a reality. The power to take a person's bending away. Permanently," Your ears pinned down, wanting to protest.

"That's impossible. There's no way," Korra mumbled, her grip on you getting tighter, which had you wince in pain.
"This guy's insane!" Mako whispered back.

"Now, for a demonstration. Please welcome, Lightning Bolt Zolt. Leader of the Triple Threat Triad, and one of the most notorious criminals in Republic City," He motioned four humans, tied up and made them kneel.

Everyone booed at them, and you poked Mako with your tail when you spotted Bolin."
"There's Bolin," Korra was about to walk forward, but Mako stopped her.

"Wait, we can't fight them all. We need to be smart about this," He told her.
"Then come up with a game plan, "Team Captain"," Korra hissed, but turned her attention to Amon.

"Zolt has amassed a fortune by extorting and abusing nonbenders. But his reign of terror is about to come to an end. Now, in the interest of fairness, I will give Zolt the chance to fight to keep his bending," Amon allowed Zolt to stand up and the human glared.

"You're gonna regret doing that, pal!" He shouted, and sent fireballs at Amon. The masked man dodged everything, and avoided the lightning too. He charged at Zolt, and gripped his wrist, flipping him around and placed a thumb on his forehead.

You watched in horror and Zolt's lightning faded into a flame, and nothing. He fell over and tried to attack, but he couldn't bend at all.
"Wha... what did you do to me?" He whispered in shock.

" Your firebending is gone. Forever," Even if you don't bend like humans, the thought of some one taking away a part of you is scary.

"The era of bending is over. A new era of Equality has begun!" Everyone began to cheer, and the two humans looked at each other.
"Any ideas?" Mako and Korra began to have a plan, but you didn't want to listen, you just wanted to hurt that human.

You got out of Korra's grip, and ran through the humans' legs. Korra whispered shouted for you, but Mako prevented her from chasing you.
"Stick to the plan, she'll be fine," He said, making his hesitantly nod and they split up.

You got onto the catwalk, and peered over to see it was the man before Bolin.
"Sifu Iroh said not to kill a human, but he never said not to harm," You mumbled, and jumped onto the stage just as Bolin was untied.

"It's you!" Bolin gasped, as you hissed at Amon, who simply stared at you.
"Get rid of this thing," He demanded his henchmen, and just as one was about to grab you, you gave a dark grin and stomped your front paws onto the ground.

The ground shook, and the stag cracked, pillars of rock sticking out.
Amon dodged the attacks, and stared at you, but you can't figure out his emotion.
Before he could say anything else, steam exploded and was inside the room. Everyone screamed, and Amon disappeared before you could get him.

A henchmen tried to grab Bolin, and you sent a rock onto his face, and Mako threw him off the stage.
"Bolin! Come on!" Mako grabbed his brother's hand, who was still in shock at what he saw.
"The tiger monkey can earthbend!" He exclaimed in awe.

You three got outside, and you made an earth slide to go down on. Before you could flee, a man with electric sticks chased after, and charged at you three. Mako and Bolin pushed you behind them and charged as well, but they were immediately knocked out by the electricity.

"You benders need to understand, there's no place in the world for you anymore," The man mumbled, but you trapped him in earth.
"Think again!" You heard Korra shout, with Naga running with her.

Bolin and Mako were picked up and hoisted onto Naga's back, where she fled the scene. But not before you looking back at where Amon was standing, him peering at you.

You turned back as Naga continued to run down the street, and she accidentally crashed against the ground. Everyone fell once more, and you tiredly got up, with Korra kneeling, and looked at you.

"Did... did you give him the gift?" She quietly said, which made you look at her in horror. When you didn't answer, she raised her voice.
"Did you?!" She demanded.

"No!! I didn't! No spirits every gave any gift to humans!" You swore, standing on your hind legs, looking at her with hurt in her eyes.
"I don't know if I believe you, you could be covering for Amon!" Korra knew you would never hurt her, but after what happened, she just needed to be sure.

"Please Sifu Vatar, I would never! I never even met a human before until I got here!" You bowed, feeling betrayed by her suspicion. All the while Mako and Bolin were dumbfounded.

"She can talk?!"

"Yes! Mako just found out!"

"Mako, you knew?!"

"I only knew about the bending! Not that she could talk!!"

"Korra, so she your Avatar animal guide?! Is she your Appa?!"

"Who's Appa?"

"ENOUGH!!" Korra's booming voice silenced everyone. She looked at you. Seeing the truth within your eyes, and sighed.
"I believe you completely," She mumbled, spreading her arms out for you to hug her, which you transformed into your actual form and ran into her arms.

"I want to go home, Sifu... take me home," You whimpered, feeling very overwhelmed.
"I got you," She said and lifted you up. She turned to see Mako and Bolin with shock looks and mouth opened wide.

"Did... did she turn... into a... what?" Boling managed to say before fainting. Mako shook his head, but was still in awe.

"Korra... you need to tell us everything when Bolin wakes up,"
