Charles won't stop making a big deal out of the fact that I am going on a date with Avery and yea Joel seems pretty jealous but who cares.

  "You have to look good. She's not like every other girl you have laid with,she's different", Charles said.

  " His right. Don't take her straight to the bed like you always do,its too early", Joel angrily said as he laid on my bed facing the ceiling.

  "You guys are overreacting, I don't like her,its just for fun I think. And she's not that special", I said trying to make my point clear.

  " You think? Don't hurt her. If you as much as hurt her. I will murder you",Charles said with a serious face.

   "Why are you guys going all defensive? Its just a freaking stupid date,nothing special. I can't like someone like her,she ain't my type,so you guys can chill and not get your hopes high", I said trying to conceal my anger.

   " Whatever.",Joel said as he began to play with a ball as he laid down. If Seb chases him with that ball he is dead.

   "What's freaking you, Jo? Haven't you seen girls cuter than she is? She's nothing special", I said as I faced Joel.

    " I just don't want her to get hurt. Its not about the beauty,there is something different about her. She's so special ",he said as he sat up.

  "Bro, don't tell me you are already falling for her?", Charles asked as he sat on the couch.

"Maybe", Joel said afraid to look us in the eye.

" So fast,it's unlike you bro. But I hope its for real this time. ",Charles said and I continued to dress.

"It is. I will try to win her heart but I hope she feels the same way", Joel said this time he looks at Charles.

" Do you know she has a massive crush on Seb?",I asked Joel and he looked surprised.

"Seb?", he asked no one in particular.

" Seb doesn't like her. He avoids her like she is some kind of disease,she deserves better.",Joel angrily said.

"He has his reason", I said looking at Charles.

" Why you looking at me?",Charles asked.

"Because he thinks Avery is corrupting his younger sister.", I said as I began to spray perfume on myself.

" How is it my fault then? And she doesn't look like a bad girl to me". Here he goes again defending her.

"Why do you go on defense mood,when it goes to Evie?" I asked as I dropped my perfume inside my drawer and rested my back against the wall.

"Evie?", they both asked.

  "I mean Avery. Just answer me",

"Okay,I don't know. I feel I have a very strong connection with her. Its an involuntary action, I can't help it. There is something about her that I can't seem to place my fingers on. "He looked confused.

" Hope you don't want to betray Mil?" I asked raising an eyebrow.

"Never. Mil is different, maybe its because they are best friends, I hope. Anyways since you are ready,get out and don't keep your gorgeous date waiting", Charles said.

" I look good,ryt?",I asked just to be sure

"Yeah bro", Charles said with a smile while Joel just looked at me

" Send my regards to her",Joel said.
"Our regards", Charles corrected.

" Whatever. Don't try any funny business ",Joel said having that jealous look on his face.

" I will try not to",I smirk and left.

  Avery looked so beautiful with her dress and the dress brought out her blue eyes. She looked so beautiful.

The guys are right about her been beautiful. Hope you won't fall for her

Shut up she's just like every other girl you have had,I thought. I really need to stop listening to Jo and Charles or they will poison my mind.

"It is a really nice place. You did all this for me?", she asked with a smile and I heard my heartbeat,I was scared she would hear it since she standing right in front of me.

" Yea sure. I just wanted to make it up to you,that's all",I said and I saw the expression on her face change from that wonderful smile to a sad face. I felt like punching myself for taking away such gorgeous smile. Damn,what's this girl doing to me? I need to stay away from her or I will go crazy.

"Can we dance?", I asked when I heard the song perfect playing.

" Sure",she said the smile back on her spotless face.

  I stretched out my hand and she put her tiny hands on mine and we began to dance with the rhythm,she clasped her hands on my neck and my hands rested on her tiny waist. I finally felt happy,I swear I didn't feel like letting her go. I have never felt like this around a girl before,not even with my long time crush,it feels really strange and I am disappointed to say this but I like it, I love the feeling.  We were still dancing and I felt like the song was referring to us. And I can't help but smile and when I looked at Evie she was smiling too as she rested her head on my chest.

  "You look beautiful by the way", I whispered to her and I saw her blush. She drew away from me.

   "Can we go to our table now?? I am starving", she said trying to ignore my compliment.

   " Yea sure" I said and led her to our table. I pulled the chair for her and she sat down then I pulled the chair under the table a little and went to sit down opposite her.

  "What do you want to have?", I asked.

  "Anything good", she grins.

   " I know something you will love.....waiter",I shouted and he came and took our order.

He came back few minutes ago with our food.
"Try it and tell me what you think", I said to her and she nodded.

   She took one spoon of the banga stew with assorted meat and rice and she widened her eyes,stopped eating and looked at me for a while before saying," Its amazing,I love it".

    "I knew you would love it but wait till you taste my own food", I said smiling.

   " If it is better than this,then I promise to give you a kiss- I mean emmm you are the best chef in the whole world and need to be complemented ",she said shyly and I laughed.

   "I prefer the first one,its better than the complement", I said eating.

   " Is banga stew a Nigerian delicacy?",she asked.

  "Yea, I heard Charles saying something about you not been in Nigeria more often than you wanted so I wanted to show you what you are missing", I smiled.

  "So Charles how is he doing? And Joel how is he?", she asked.

   " They are both doing great. We bless God they are alive and kicking.",I said and she laughed,this is the first time I heard her laugh and trust me its music to my ear.

  "Trust me,if Joel had his way,he would HV followed me here", I ended and she laughed even more.

    " I can imagine the look on his face when you said we are going on a date.",she laughed and I stopped eating and stared at her when her eyes met mine I looked away.

     "Sorry to ask but what do you remember about your mum", I asked because I want to know about her mother. She stopped eating and stared at her food.

    " Nothing much,I only HV pictures of her. I don't remember a thing about her",she said I can see tears threatening to drop.

    "Sorry,if I reminded you of her.", I said softly.

    "Its okay. I will HV to talk to somebody about it eventually", she said as tears began to fall from her eyes and I swear my heart began to beat faster like it did when we walked into the restaurant and she asked if I did all this for her.

  " If you want to talk to anyone am always here",I said slowly.

   "Thanks but am good", she whispered as she used her hands to wipe her tears. I brought out a handkerchief and gave it to her.

    " Thanks",she took it from me and used it to wipe her tears. She gave it back to me but I told her to keep it,she might need it again.

    "What about your mom?", she asked.

   " She's fine but her and Seb's mom are preparing for their best friends way-keep. The one you attend every year with Mil.",I said not looking her in the eyes.

    "Why don't you attend it? I HV never seen you at her way keep.", she asked,I knew that's what she will ask me.

   " Well,its something personal. ",I said as I ate and pushed the plate away.

  " Did Charles mom offend you?",she asked again and I smiled.

   "No,its personal and I rather not talk about it", I said as I drank water.

   " Sorry for the questions ",she said and I nodded.

   Few minutes later, we are in my car on our way to her lodge,the restaurant I took her to is about two hours drive or slightly more.

   " Can we play a game to keep ourselves company? "I asked her,my eyes still glued to the road.

     " Yea sure but what kind of game?",she asked as she sat upright looking at me.

    "Truth and truth which means we can ask any kind of question. You go first", I said.

" Hmmm,okay. Emmmm, what gives you so much joy?",she asked.

"Seeing the people I love so happy", I said as I gave her a little smile and looked back on the road.

" My turn. What's your worst experience? ",I asked.

  " Living without my mom and when my crush literally snubbed me in front of a million people ",she said sadly.

   " What do you mean by a million people? ",I asked her.

   " Sorry my turn. What's the hardest thing you HV ever done?",she asked and i could feel her staring at me.

   "Letting the girl I love go. So answer my own question.", I said.

She sigh and it took a while before she answered." I and my friends went for a concert and when I sighted Se- my crush I left my friends and ran after him and began to call his name. When he finally looked back at me, he yelled 'What? Stop bugging me' he hissed and walked out. People were looking at me and I felt really embarrassed. That's also my embarrassing moment so don't ask that".

  "Noted,its your turn", I said.

  " HV you ever had sex?",she asked. I didn't expect that.

   "Yea,HV you?", I asked her.

   " Well no.",she said slowly.

   "Have you had your first kiss?", I asked.

    " No",she said and looked out the window.

   "Have you ever had a boyfriend?", I asked.

  " No",she whispered and I could barely hear her.

   "Weren't guys asking you out?", I asked,I know its stupid of me to ask but I HV to.

   " They were coming but I had my eyes set on a particular guy who hated me and avoided me like a disease. He made me question my looks. I began to ask myself if something was wrong with me. My best friend has warned me to stop crushing on him but I can't help it,it has grown into something more than a crush.",she said sadly.

   I put my hands on hers and I intertwined our fingers and whispered, "He isn't worth it then. You deserve something and someone better. Someone who will treat you like a queen,the queen that you are."

  "Thanks", she smiled.

   She laid on the seat our fingers still intertwined and just like that she slept off. When we finally reached her lodge,I came out of driver seat and went to meet her where she laid. When I got there I saw how beautiful and innocent she looked when she's at sleep,I felt like kissing those sexy small lips of hers.

   Snap out of it Josh,she isn't your type of girl remember, I reminded myself.

       I gently carried her in my arms and close the door gently. When I got to her door I knocked with my legs and when the door opened I saw Mil.

   " Hey Josh",Mil said.

    "Hi Mil", I said and we stood and looked at ourselves for a while before I said," Can I come in? ". 

     I peeped into their room and its not bad for a girls lodge. The room looks big but not bigger than mine. Its painted in blue and black. They have two beds, a table and two chairs which am guessing they use to sit and study or copy note. They have a mini freezer,an air conditioner, and a wide wardrobe and shoe rack which am guessing belongs to Mil mostly since she loves heels, a washing machine, a kitchen I think and lastly a bathroom.

    " Yea sorry,I was worried about her I called but she wasn't picking. And seeing you carry her like that I was just shocked ",she ended and opened the door wider for me to enter

       " Its not what you think ",I said as I walked in still carrying Evie.

   " Never mind,just put her on the bed",she said pointing to the bed and I did as she said,I still feel that urge to kiss her but I pushed the thought off. I am on a hot sit.

    "Let's talk about this please", I begged.

   " There is nothing to talk about just leave,its late already",she said slightly angry, pointing to the door. I walked out and slammed the door.
