32 ⚔️ Attack!

The morning sun stretched long shadows across the ground as Terra started her dirt bike, the engine's roar punctuating the quiet morning air. The machine she straddled was a tough-looking beast, its sleek metal frame adorned with scratches and dents, testimony to the countless adventures it had embarked upon.

Diato hopped on behind her, his fingers interlaced around his knee balls, for balance. As they began their journey, Shez, quick and light on his feet, joined them on foot, running beside the dirt bike, his movements as fluid and graceful as a wild cat.

"HOW ON EARTH ARE YOU DOING THAT!?" Diato shouted at Shez so that Shez could hear him. "WEREN'T YOU SUPPOSED TO BE A DRAGON!?"

"No" Shez replied calmly, despite running at an incredibly fast pace, "I said you could call me a dragon, not that I'm a dragon." He explained.

"SO WHAT EXACTLY ARE YOU?" Diato asked, trying his best to suppress the engine's noise with his own.

"I'm a Barbarian" Shez replied, keeping his eye on the road and not making eye contact with Diato. "I'm from the barbarian clan of my dimension."

"THAT BOUNCED OVER MY HEAD," Diato spoke, not trying to sound rude, "BUT HOW ARE YOU RUNNING AT EIGHTY KILOMETRES PER HOUR?"

Shez didn't study at schools on Earth and didn't quite understand the metric system. "What the fuck is a Kilometre?"

"Fucking American" Terra whispered under her breath so that only Diato could hear her.

"ARE YOU BALD?" Diato Inquired.

Shez, however, heard Terra with his sensitive ears. "oh, Give me a break!" He spoke, clearly annoyed for being called American for not understanding the metric system.

They roared away from the bustling market, leaving the noise and chaos behind like distant memories. The dirt bike's wheels kicked up dust, forming a swirling cloud that danced in the morning light. Each turn of the throttle propelled them forward, leaving a trail behind them.

Terra's hair flew behind her like a wild horse's mane, the wind tugging at each strand as they sped towards the dark shapes of the DragonSpine mountains on the horizon. The landscape transformed beneath them, shifting from velvety green grass to treacherous bumpy rocks. But Terra navigated the terrain with ease and finesse, her hands expertly steering the bike through every twist and turn.

Diato leaned with the turns, feeling the rhythm of the ride as his body synced with the motion of the dirt bike. The exhilaration of speed coursed through his veins. Shez, always eager for a chase, would occasionally zoom ahead, his lithe figure blending harmoniously with the rugged landscape, only to circle back effortlessly, his eyes shining with a glint.

As minutes turned into hours, the sun climbed higher in the sky, its warmth casting a comforting blanket over the rough land. The mountains, once mere silhouettes on the horizon, grew larger and more imposing with each passing mile. Their pointy peaks were now veiled in clouds as if teasingly concealing the secrets they held within.

The trio was drawn toward the mountains, their majestic look of the mountain.

"We're here" Terra sighed, "Get off the bike"

Diato nodded and then realised she didn't see the nod. He jumped off the bike and so did Terra. Shez was already standing beside the bike, his hands resting on his hips as he scanned the mountains. With a sigh, he turned to Diato,

"So you did manage to get me here, didn't you?" Shez spoke, as he went to Diato,

"Well, you can still leave if you want," Diato turned to him, "But I don't think you'd do that before showing me if you're more powerful than the Infernos."

"You're right" Shez spoke, "I'll show you the hard way," He pointed at Diato, "that I am indeed more powerful than these Infernos."

Diato nodded and strode past Terra. Terra and Shez followed Diato as he led the way. The bike was parked near the cave, so the distance was short. These guys think they can simply hand me over to the unknown and I'll do nothing, Shez thought, with a smirk on his face. Diato couldn't see the smirk as it was covered by the mask. But little do they know, I have my shit planned.

Diato walked for a while and came to a halt. "We're here" He spoke.

He gazed down at the spiral metal staircase. He went to the stairs; Terra and Shez followed.

"Stop right here" Diato ordered Shez and Terra.

He climbed down the rest of the stairs. His footsteps echoed in the giant cave. It drew everyone's attention to Diato. There seemed to be a conversation about someone named Ignarius in the court of The Unknown. The conversation, however, came to a halt with Diato's resonating footsteps. Everyone shot him a look. He knew it was the wrong timing. Perhaps, nobody expected Diato to complete his mission.

He walked ahead, in the middle of the cave. The unknown continued to stare at him. Diato could feel The Unknown's Braids prickling into his skin. He wanted to frown so badly but resisted it and went to the other stairs, near the stone throne. He looked up at the unknown with confidence dancing in his eyes.

"Didn't think you'd see me here, did you?" Diato continued to stare at him.

"Well, did you complete your task?" The unknown asked, thinking that Diato had failed.

"Yes I did," Diato spoke, with his gaze locked on the Unknown, "I did complete your task, Tyghall."

The unknown's eyes grew wide in shock, "Who told you my name?" The caveman asked.

"The same guy that trapped you here," Diato raised his voice uniformly, "THE INFERNO TRAITOR!" Diato spread his arms outward in the air.

"I KNOW THAT—" Diato was going to explain how Shez told him that Tyghall was tricking him, but what he didn't know was that Shez thought Diato was calling him. Shez wasn't quite familiar with Diato's plan.

Diato planned to reveal to Tyghall that he knew the truth, but Diato forgot that Shez was here to show Diato that he was superior to Infernos.

Shez jumped inside the cave, skipping all the stairs and landing straight on the stone floor. His landing cracked the floor around him, as he landed on his one knee and one foot, like a squirrel. Shez hauled himself to a standing position and gazed at Tyghall. His gaze was enough to send the chills of memories down Tyghall's spine.

It felt like a slideshow of the past was being displayed in Shez's eyes. His orange-glowing eyes brought back many nightmares. The memories Tyghall wanted to forget. The memories of their defeat, and their cry for help foreshadowed right inside the eyes of Shez.

"Wait, no" Diato forgot that Shez wasn't aware that they didn't want to attack Tyghall. "Shez that's not the plan-" But it was too late.

Shez had already sprinted at Tyghall. One of Tyghall's soldiers leapt at Shez, but he was unstoppable. The guard leapt at Shez, spreading his wings and upper arms to grab Shez and bring him to the ground. But Shez was a great fan of catching up to the enemy's speed. He caught up to the guard's speed and threw his forearm on the guard's cheek. The guard was in his dragon form but still, his head got launched aside, into a pillar. His head struck the pillar, cracking the pillar and tearing some of the guard's scales.

Blood dripped down from the side where Shez had hit the guard. The blood, unlike what Diato expected, was red this time. Shez continued his sprint on his two legs and finally reached Tyghall. Tyghall immediately jumped from his seat. But he was too lost in his slideshow of the past that he couldn't keep up with reacting to his surroundings.

Shez leapt at Tyghall, grabbing his neckline. Soon, his palms slid through Tyghall's rough skin and got a hold of his neck. Tyghall's throne was rigid so it didn't even budge. But Tyghall was thrown behind the thrown, with Shez climbed on his chest, holding his neck.

Shez tightened his grasp on the neck of Tyghall. Diato tried to stop Shez but he was too late. He didn't tell Shez to not attack, and neither did he tell Tyghall that he wouldn't complete his task. He had messed up his plan.

"YOU BETRAYED ME DIATO!" Tyghall shouted, his hands locked in She's forearms, "I TOLD YOU TO GET ME SHEZ! NOT GET SHEZ TO ATTACK ME! YOU WANTED TO KILL ME FOR MY BLOOD!"

I messed up, real bad. Diato thought.

"INFERNOS," Tygall ordered everyone, "ATTACK!"

All the dragons' gaze shifted to Diato. Two of the Dragons jumped at Diato. Terra, on the other hand, heard Tyghall ordering the dragons to attack Diato. Adrenaline rushed through her veins as she jumped down the stairs, landing on her feet. She did a half squat, to balance herself from the fall and pulled out her urumi just as she straightened her legs.

Another two dragons were waiting for her. They all jumped on Terra. The remaining four dragons jumped at Shez, who was about to kill Tyghall, but was stopped by these dragons jumping at him. Terra, an A Ranked Drayer who had never faced an S Ranked dragons, was now against two of the best S Ranked Dragons she might ever come across. Diato, a rookie Drayer who was unable to complete his first mission was also against two powerful S Ranked Dragons. The inferno Seed inside him was the only advantage he had against the dragons.

Shez was the only one who had a little chance of winning against five dragons at once, because he was a skilled Dragon Mage and a Barbarian.

Terra instantly pulled out her gun. But one of the dragons pushed her back with its tail. The pistol slipped out of her hand and got thrown at Tyghall's feet. Oh shit, she thought.
