A/N so this isn't going to be Christmas Eve, it's just a short filler and the next chapter will be getting ready for Christmas and Christmas Eve!

Josh's POV

Over the past couple of days we've been stuck inside because it's been cold and rainy, we've watched Snow White AT LEAST 15 times, sang Schuyler Sisters about the same amount of times, we've played and we've colored. Only so much you can do when you can't go outside. During all these rainy cold days we've noticed that Grace has been a little more cuddly and waking up during the night a lot .

"Is feeling any better?" I asked him.

"Doesn't seem that way, she won't let me put her down without fussing." He said.

"I'll call the doctor and set up an appointment, because something isn't right" I said.

I went into the other room called and made an appointment, luckily they had an opening in an hour. After that I called Kaitlyn and asked if she could watch Alex while we were gone and she was over in a heartbeat.

A little while later we headed to the doctor.

Ben's POV

We sat in the office waiting to be called back, usually Grace would want to play with the toys but again she didn't want to be put down. A few minutes after we got there Grace was called back, we followed the nurse into a room. She asked a few questions and then we explained why we were in. She left and a few minutes later the doctor came in.

"So someone hasn't been feeling too well?" He asked.

"We aren't quite sure, she just hasn't been her normal self." Josh answered.

"Okay, has she been eating the amount she usually does?" He asked.

"Not really, she's also been a lot more picky" I answered.

"Does she have all her teeth in?" He asked.

"Not yet, she has most of her front ones but none of her back teeth." I said.

"Has she been sleeping okay?" He asked.

"She's been waking up a lot more during the night." Josh said.

"Okay, so my guess is she has a little bit of a cold and she's teething. Which combined for a kid her age isn't fun, it isn't fun for anyone but for this age it's hard because she can't say what's bothering her. " he said.

The doctor then gave a few suggestions to help and sent us on our way. On the way home we stopped and got what he suggested hoping that it will get her back to normal.

Josh's POV

When we got home we gave Grace some medicine and put her down for a nap to hopefully make up for lost sleep. Alex was still with Kaitlyn because she didn't want to leave until Snow White was over. Ben and I both fell asleep because we kept waking up with Grace the past few nights.

Being a dad is one of the best things ever but seeing your own kids in pain is so hard, you want to take the pain away but you can't do anything unless you know, which in this case we didn't.
