Enga vittom?💜

_____

She walked out after a relaxing long bath, she was half dressed with just her petticoat and blouse on with a folded saree lying on her shoulder. It was 4 in the morning. Ashwin was standing in front of the mirror right across the room fixing his already perfecto' hair just to get a glance at her through the mirror when she came out.

She wasn't expecting him to be in the room when she stepped out although they stayed together the previous night. With a little hesitance and a little excitement, she tried to be calm and casual. She stood before the other mirror at the other end of the room, opposite to where Ashwin was standing. Now they can see each other through their reflection but they chose not to but couldn't help but steal a glance when the other one was not looking through the mirror.

Manam vittu unmai mattum hmmmm hm hm.....Sivaangi hummed her favourite song and pretended to be completely normal while searching for her safety pins in a huge vanity bag before him holding up the pleated pallu in her other hand. How could he not sense her mischief?

Although his "nalla paiyan" morals were pinching him on one side, he couldn't move his eyes away from her to the point where he dropped his comb, bringing their attention to it. They both looked at each other and there was a moment of complete stillness. She raised her eyebrows asking what happened.

"Abaadhaaa! Rowdy! Enna kutti pasanga dhupatta kaila pudichi suthura mari saree pudichi suthitu iruka?" He blabbered trying to fix the awkwardness and ended up making it worse

She threw a stern yet playful look at him and returned to digging for her pins.

Half the way through draping her saree, Ashwin moved to the sofa across the bed and was trying to act casual scrolling his phone and looking at her now and then.

She continued to hum her songs one after the other and was finishing up her drape.

"Amaaa, epolendhu saree la kata kathukuta?" Ashwin asked

Her hands stopped pressing the pleats together. "3 years la ana update idhu! En? Terilana naisa katti vidureyn nu soli un velaya kata dhaney kekura? Elam engaluku katta teriyum" She said and went back setting her pleats. Ashwin could only frown at that comeback.

"Enna romance pana teridha nu lam ketutu ipo iva panradhu lam ennavam? Cha!" He mumbled to himself.

"Enna? Munu munu?"

"Eheeehe onu ilayeeee!" he said and frowned again looking back at his phone deciding to not even try anymore!

Once she was completely satisfied with the drape she turned towards him and asked "Paru! Nala iruka?" with a twinkle in her eye.

He looked up at her to only melt and fall back to the ground. She stood there wrapped in a violet and turquoise blue kanjeevaram silk saree, draped to perfection. Her hair was tucked on one side of her shoulder still damp and she had just prepped her lips with some lip balm, yet she was looking mesmerisingly perfect. She was trying blue pottu and purple pottu one after the other and asked "Idhuva?" ila "Idhuva?"

Ashwin just remembered that he still dint answer the first question yet. She now looked at him when she didn't hear anything from the man.

"Ashwin!" She said in a low but stern voice keeping her hands on her hip.

"Ann! Huh?!" Was his response.

"Edachum solu da!"

He stood up and inched closer to her confusing her more.

"Romba Azhaga iruka" He said tucking her hair behind her ear turning her cheeks blush pink without any makeup.

He twirled her around and held her between his arms, her back facing his front, in front of the mirror. She rested her head behind and he gently swayed as he spoke.

He was wearing a maroon shirt and a pattu veshti, styled with a glamorous watch.

"Pugaz anna engagement apo nenachu pathoma avaru kalyanathula ipdi nippom nu?" She whispered.

He held her tighter, resting his chin on the side of her head. It was 3 months after Pugaz's engagement, his movie pooja, and the day he spilled some truth after getting a little toooo tipsy.

"Nambuneyn. Oru pakkam bayam irundhalum I believed that you would understand me and everything that happened." He said firmly making her smile.

The sun was rising but it was also cloudy. She turned in his arms and stood facing him, locking her arms around his neck while he held her hip.

"Do u believe in destiny?" She threw a random question at him

"Terila ma. En kekura?"

"Enakum terila....Ana adhu elam ipo nambanum nu thonudhu. Evlo dhan vendam vendam nu talli ponalum edho oru reason nala we were brought back together. Evlo misunderstanding evlo miscommunication ena nadandhalum we were pulled back like magnets." She said

"Idhu dhan na kadavul setting nu soluveyn." She said giggling when the conversation turned a little too serious

"Aahannn setting dhan setting dhan. Setting pannadhu elam nanum credits matum avaruka?"

"Nii kilicha! Elam sodhapals. Azhaga laddu mari chance vandhalum inum poi oru 20 adi talli sofa la ularu po. Idhukulam nii sari patu vara mata!" She hissed at him. He took a few seconds to figure out what she meant.

"Ohhhh! Madam ku apdi vera aasa irukaaa???" He asked slowly locking her against the mirror.

"Ama irukadha pinna?" She said not hesitating a bit.

"Pugaz anna kuda sanda potu orey room poteyn. Nethu night oorulendhu nera room vandhu tired ah iruku ma nu thoongita! Iniki kalila ena da na dho indha mandaya ethana vatiya seevitu nippa? Enna patha unaku epdi iruku? Ena aalu ya ni? Sutha tube light!"

He did not pay any heed to her rants and kept inching closer to her. She realised that only when his warm breath was an inch away from her lips.

"Assshwineyy....."

"Hmmm.....pesu papom ipo"

"Ilaaaa......adhuuu"

"Nii dhan rowdy achey......ena sona? Na tube light ah?" He ran his finger around her exposed waist.

Her eyes fluttered, she turned pink and her ears heated.

"Nanum nalla paiyana un amma appa enaya nambi una en kuda taniya vitrukangaley, porupa irukanum patha vida mata polayeeee....."

"Enna da panuva?" She wanted to sound bold but the feminine in her was dancing in love.

"Enna da panuviya? pakuriya?" He raised his eyebrows.

The air was charged with an electric tension as they stood there, locked in a gaze that spoke volumes of desire. The dim glow of the sunlight danced through the room, casting a soft, romantic ambiance. The low hum of rain melody in the background set the perfect mood for what was about to unfold.

She could feel the heat emanating from his body as he closed the distance between them, his eyes never leaving hers. His hand gently cupped her face, his thumb tracing the contours of her cheek. The anticipation hung thick in the air, like a promise waiting to be fulfilled.

Their lips finally met, and time seemed to stand still. The kiss was a slow burn, starting with a gentle exploration before intensifying into a passionate embrace. His lips were warm and inviting, and hers responded with an equal fervor. They moved in perfect harmony, a dance of tongues and emotions.

Her fingers tangled in his hair, pulling him closer, deepening the connection. Every brush of their lips sent shivers down their spines, igniting a fire that burned brighter with each passing moment. The world outside ceased to exist as they lost themselves in the intoxicating rhythm of the kiss.

His hands explored the curves of her body, leaving a trail of heat in their wake. The warmth of his touch ignited a hunger that had been simmering beneath the surface, and she surrendered to the magnetic pull between them. Their bodies pressed against each other, creating a seamless union of passion and desire.

As they finally broke the kiss, their breaths mingled, and a knowing smile passed between them. The room was left in a hushed silence, the aftermath of a kiss that transcended time and space. The steamy encounter lingered in the air, leaving an indelible mark on their souls, forever binding them in the sweet memory of that electrifying kiss.

They stood there still resting their foreheads on one another with a smile that never ceased. Their first kiss.

(Chapter 25- "......If we ever share a first kiss then when I think about it later I should never regret that I was drunk that day. And that I couldn't remember even the minute details of every bit that I tasted. Puriyudha?" )

"Sivaangi ma!" He said and they looked into each other's eyes.

"I love you" They said in unison and chuckled pulling each other into a tight hug.

"Idha maraka mateyn.....sagura vara.....adhuku aprom kuda" He said with tears glazing in both their eyes.

Their body and soul was in need for more but they know they were getting late for the wedding.

"Late agudhu" She said and he just hummed still holding each other in their arms.

"Help me get ready" she said.

"Idhuku mela na ena help pananum?" He said earning a punch in his stomach.

Sivaangi and Ashwin stood there behind Pugaz and the bride on the stage. The ceremony was happening to tie the knots and these two were standing as if they were up next. And momentarily Ashwin asked Sivaangi nudging her by her shoulder "Aprom? Namaku epo?"

"Soru dhaney? Ama enakum romba pasikidhu!" She said, totally distracted by the smell of food from the kitchen that found her nostrils.

"Adiyey! Ivalo neram enna thittutu ipo na mukiyama vishiyam keta soru pathi pesura! Po nii poi nalla thinnu!" He was annoyed

"Heheheee! Sorrrrri Ashwineyyy pasikidhu la! Kalankathala oruthan neraya calories burn panitan! Ena panatum pavam la nanum?" She pouted and blinked like a puppy melting him into a puddle.

"Amaaa nii enna keta?"

"Onum ila po!"

"Kochikadha da! Room ku va answer solreyn!" She giggled pinching his hip quietly making him squirm.

"Oii amma appa pakuranga!"

"Patha pakatum! Avanga pannadha kootha?"

"Adhu seri! KD!" He commented pinching her cheek forgetting where he was standing making the crowd go awww.

Binni ma nd Krishna pa smiled looking at each other as if giving them indirect approval.

Pugaz tugged Ashwin by the end of his veshti signaling him to bend down.

"Dei! Pinnadi apdi ena dhan da panringa? Photographer full ah ungala photo edukuranga. Kalyanam engaluku da! konjam nangalum album la irukanum da!" He pleaded to the love birds to pause for a while making Ashwin laugh.

"Sandoshama irunga da. Avala pareyn" He said pointing at Sivaangi who was standing there with the widest smile showing some actions to someone in the crowd. "Ipdi ava sirichi pathu pala varusham achu da. Avala sandoshatha tolachitalo nu bayandheyn machan. Epovum avala ipdi sirika vechitey iru! puridha?" Ashwin smiled and hugged Pugaz from behind.

______

It was 11 pm the same day of marriage, the reception was almost coming to an end, and people were leaving the hall wishing the couple a great future together. Her parents left early that evening for a recording and her annas aka his machans were all busy with the function. These 2 love birds decided to sneak out to the terrace hoping to not be spotted by anyone.

It was a full moon day, and the breeze carried petrichor, must be raining somewhere nearby. She was lying down on one side of the sloped roof, with her eyes closed and humming, wondering what was taking him so long. Ashwin walked towards her and lay down next to her quietly. He propped his head on his hand and turned towards her. Sensing his presence her lips curved into a soft smile. Ashwin was simply looking at her and how beautifully her skin was lit by the moonlight.

He wasn't looking at her face, not entirely. It was the way the moonlight sculpted the gentle rise and fall of her chest as she hummed, a melody both melancholic and sweet. It was a tune he knew well. Now, the petrichor-laced breeze seemed to carry the melody a little further, weaving it into the rustling leaves and the distant pitter-patter of unseen rain.

A tear escaped her closed eyelids, tracing a glistening path down her temple. Ashwin's breath caught in his throat. He didn't reach for her, not yet. He understood the silent language of tears under a full moon. They were tears that held stories, some joyful, some tinged with the bittersweet ache of life.

"Enna yosikura?" he finally asked, his voice a husky murmur.

She opened her eyes then, the moonlight catching the shimmering tear.

"Its scary Ashwin" she confessed, her voice barely a whisper. "Nii kuda ilama pona 3 years nenachu paka bayama iruku. Thirupi edhadhu ayidumo nu bayama iruku....."

"Shhh.....En apdi yosikura? I am right here!" He shifted closer. "Engayum poga mateyn. Edhuvum agadhu." He brushed his thumb across the damp trail of her tear, a silent promise.

But the melody within her had shifted. The bittersweet ache morphed into a different kind of pang – a hesitant joy tinged with the lingering shadows of their past.

The morning kiss, hesitant at first, then deepening with a rediscovered passion, was still fresh on her mind. It was a kiss that held the promise of a new beginning, but also the stark reminder of the pain that had driven them apart. Years of misunderstandings, harsh words were too quickly spoken, and a lot of confusion and unspoken mess – they were all ghosts hovering at the edges of their reunion.

"Unaku bayama ilaya?" she said, her voice barely a whisper.

Ashwin understood. He squeezed her hand gently. "Ila ma....Anniki night nii veeta vitu pona apo dhan na una kadasiya papeyn nu nenacheyn. Anniki unmaya bayandheyn. There was still hope and you came that day. Kadasi nimishathula when I thought everything was over you came. Im not scared anymore Sivaangi."

She let out a shaky breath.

He looked at her, the moonlight highlighting the vulnerability etched on her face. "Nadandhadhu edhuvum matha mudiyadhu ma, but its all in the past," he said softly. "But we can choose how it shapes us.

His words held a quiet strength, a promise that resonated deep within her. Maybe, just maybe, there was a melody they could write together, a symphony built not just on individual notes, but on the shared harmony of two hearts learning to trust again.

"Yes!" she echoed, her voice gaining strength. She closed her eyes, the moonlight a cool caress on her skin. As the tears finally subsided, a single tear, this time shimmering with a newfound resolve, traced a path down her cheek. He brushed away her tear and called her name softly "Sivaangi ma"

She opened her eyes and looked at him.

Keezha en kuda va. I want to show you something.
