The Rebellion

I woke up in a bed, the same one as the last time. I didn't sit up, even though I knew I was completely healed, and turned my head to see Starkiller pacing in anger and disbelief. Back and forth across the room he went, one hand on his head, scratching his scalp or holding his chin or rubbing his eyes, the other either limp at his side or holding his hip. He kept going until his eyes flicked up and met mine, then he stopped.

"Jen?" He came to my side, gingerly helping me sit up. "Are you okay? How are you feeling?"

I shook my head, tears gathering in my eyes. "This can't be true," I whispered, shaking my head. "I can't - I don't believe this. It isn't real, it was only a dream." I looked him in the eye. "Tell me that was just a dream?" I begged.

He stared at me with a deep sadness. I began to cry, and he held me to his chest. I clung to him, feeling so safe I almost didn't let go after I had calmed down a few minutes later. When I did, I looked into his eyes again.

"We were both kept in the dark," Starkiller said slowly. "Both of us were deceived. Both of us were forced to suffer because of their decisions." He wiped my tears away and kissed my forehead. "But no more."

He took my hand and I squeezed it tightly. I stood and, with him beside me, walked to the cockpit, where Kota still sat.

"Are we going to Kamino?" the older man asked quietly, not even turning his head. "Have you decided?"

I looked into Starkiller's eyes once more. They were eager, ready for a fight. He was willing. But was I?

Starkiller nodded, squeezing my hand again. I nodded back, then turned back to Kota.

"Let's stop Vadar once and for all."

Several hours and two, one very recent, severe beatings had past before Jaisa looked up at the ceiling, her body slowly mending itself. She wiggled her fingers to make sure she hadn't lost all feeling in them. Her toes, however, would not respond. She heard nothing for the longest time; and then sirens, deafening in volume, began to scream into her ears.

She was tired, so, so tired. She didn't want to get up when the men in white plastic armor, the Stormtroopers, came to get her, but when The Apprentice came, she didn't hesitate to get to her knees and then, slowly, to her feet.

Her joints were jammed and creaked when she moved, but she ignored it as she hobbled along. The Apprentice didn't grab her arm this time, which surprised her. She was grateful, but worried all the same. This was definitely not good.

She hurried as best she could, more than a little frightened by the thought of another beating when she had just had one so soon, but he didn't seem to notice her lack of speed. Just as this registered in her mind, the entire building shook, threatening collapse, but the man once again ignored this as he grabbed Jaisa around the waist, throwing her over her shoulder as he began to run. The plastic soldiers tried to follow him, but they were too slow as a meteor crashed into the building. There was a blast, and the man shot forward past a gasping door, which shut after he went past, cutting off an explosion of fire just before it could touch them. He walked quickly, looking eagerly out of the window beside us. He seemed a bit apprehensive, but he was also excited. She wasn't very comforted by this.

A sudden feeling in her stomach made her jerk up, looking around wildly as the man slowed to a stop. They had both felt it at the same time.

Jenakin was here, and she was ready to fight. For some reason, she was so much stronger than before.

Jaise felt hope for what seemed like the first time in a long time. She smirked, and the apprentice ran on.

I met Proxy soon after we had gotten aboard the commanding ship. After a long fight to the elevator and a tiring battle with a war droid built like a tank, we encountered the creatures from my nightmares.

I screamed as a clawed creature dug its freakishly long nails into my side. I was tired, and I swung my lightsaber. It was gone before I even turned around. Wincing, I stumbled over to Starkiller, who shocked two with Force Lightening before decapitating them both. He gave me a reassuring smile and I sighed, turning back to the jerk with my blood on his nails.

He phased around at first, getting close and then far, until I finally saw my chance and sent a bolt of lightening - black lightening, which worried me just a little - that would make even me laugh if not for the circumstances. It seemed to do the trick, however, as the goon froze and I stabbed it through the heart - or where I thought it was, at least. Either way, it died. I was happy until we kept going.

Bugs - freaking hate the things. They landed on my head and shoulders, scaring me half to death as I nearly incinerated myself getting them off. After what seemed like hours, Starkiller sat me down in the control room and ran off to fix the problem with the main canon. Proxy was laying on the floor, nearly dead and almost in half. I sat away from him, but as he got closer, I couldn't help but feel curious.

"Who are you?" he asked me. "You are a little girl. Why are you here, fighting? Where is your family?"

"My family is being held captive by Vader," I said cautiously. "My sister. Besides her and my older brother, they're all dead."

Proxy's form wined and fizzled, and suddenly I was looked at myself. I looked kind of terrible, but he made me look perfect. A little too much.

"You're not anywhere in the Empire's archives," Proxy said in my voice. "You don't exist in my records. Why is that? You are no droid, but I cannot seem to find you anywhere."

"I'm not... from around here," I said awkwardly. "And no, I'm not a droid. The only peple from here from my family were my father and my brother. My father was killed by Vader, and my brother is a hero to some. To others, he's a selfish coward." I chuckled wryly. "Seems to be a family trait, huh?"

"Who is your brother?"

"Starkiller."

He stared at me and then his true form appeared, shaking his head. "But that's not possible. Starkiller doesn't have anyone, save his father, who was murdered by -"

"Vader," I interrupted, finishing his sentence. "My father and his were the same man."

Kota yelled someting I don't care to repeat, startling the both of us as we looked up at the blind man. He pounded a fist on the control deck, seething with fury.

"Jenakin!" he barked, making me jump as I struggled to my feet. "Starkiller needs help firing the cannon. Go help him."

"I don't know where it is," I said quietly.

"The Force will guide you," he snapped. "Hurry up!"

I ran out of the room, clutching my still healing side as I searched my feelings, allowing the Force to point me in the right directions. Since the ship is so big, it took me quite a while to find the correct cannon, but I did, and I saw Starkiller struggled to shoot the magnificently giant weapon. I leaped up to help him, coming to stand beside him. Holding hands to share power, we formed a ball made of solid Force energy, and together, threw it with all we could at the bullet, and it shot out with more power than expected. It rocked the entire spaceship as it tore through the Imperial Cruiser, cutting it clean in half and then going on, eventually fading out in space.

We stared for a moment before we looked at each other and began to laugh. We laughed for a long time before Kota barked something at Starkiller and we made the journey back to the control room.

Movement caught my eye suddenly and I turned, and then I ran to the glass separating Starkiller and I from the only hold Vader had over us:

Juno, unconscious and on the floor, and Jaisa, bound and being dragged around like a dog on a chain. A man in an odd helmet looked at us, staring at him, and then Jaisa held out a hand. Juno's unconscious body began to float, and I screamed at Jaisa, but she didn't seem to hear me. Starkiller was hitting the glass, but it did nothing. The man dragged my twin and my future older sister (even then it was pretty obvious at the time, I won't lie) to his ship, and we were forced to retreat to the control room.

The ship started to descend as we were being shot out of the sky and began to plummet towards the planet, and Kota gave the order to abandon ship after which he took the Shadow to Kamino's surface, while Starkiller and I stayed on the ship. He wasn't thrilled about my decision to hang around, but I didn't really care all that much.

"Let's roll," I told him, and we braced ourselves to move debris out of our way. He smirked, and I gathered all of my force energy. Time to play Battleship in real time. Scratch that off the bucket list!
