Ch. 20: Dinner Time

In the human realm and in the Noceda house, Luz was sulking in the den AGAIN.

It had been a week since they were forced back here and things had been so NORMAL. It was horrible.

Going out, walking among everyone, and just doing ordinary things! Even things like amusement parks had lost their luster for Luz.

At least compared to Demon Realm amusement parks.

"Oh god, somebody just kill me." Luz said with a groan, leaning back on the couch.

"No, I would have to kill that person then."

Coming out of the kitchen, Amity held two sodas before setting them on the coffee table.

"You really need to stop being so dramatic, Luz." She said.

"I can't help it, Amity." Luz said back.

"Yes you can. We're still looking for a way back and you just have to be patient." Amity said, sitting down next to Luz. "So just watch some TV and relax."

"There nothing to watch." Luz said as she leaned against Amity.

"Then I guess we can cuddle." Amity replied.

"Mmmm." Luz hummed with a small smile as she snuggled against her girlfriend. "I still can't believe what Eda did... I saved the Isles on multiple difference occasions and I'm still treated as if I'm weak."

"Nobody is saying that. None of us are weak, not even King." Amity said.

"I HEARD THAT, YOU COTTON CANDY C!" King shouted from the kitchen.

"... Yep, that's Eda's kid." Luz said after a short pause.

"Yeah and ignoring him, you shouldn't worry so much. We're titans, we'll find a way." Amity said, kissing Luz's forehead.

"Oh you." Luz said as she gained a smile.

They continued to snuggle and just enjoy the silence in the den, not bothering to acknowledge anyone else that came in or out of the room.

"Are they going to do that all day or until we find a way back to the Isles?" Tracey asked.

"Maybe both." Masha comments.

"Ugh, I do not understand romance." Tracey said as she rolled her eyes.

"You just don't understand true love." Vee said, walking up to and hugging Masha.

"Yeah, I'm Aromantic, I couldn't care less about love, I just don't like leaving Jasper all alone." Tracey said, thinking of her pet vine. "He's my baby, I raised him since he was a sprout, I want my vine back."

"So you don't understand true love but you understand parental love." Masha clarified.

"Yes. There's a big difference between what you and Vee have, and what we have." Tracey said, motioning between Masha and herself. "I do not care for romantic feelings. What I do care for is that we are stuck here."

"We get it but don't start acting like Luz, please." Masha said with an eye roll.

"Yeah, we don't need two sulking girls." Vee said.

"Vee, be nice. Your sister is just going through a "withdrawal" of sorts." Camila said, walking up to the trio.

"Yeah, I know, mom. The last time she was depressed, she became a furry." Vee said, recalling the Halloween night years ago.

"Like you're one to talk, Ms. Snake." Luz replied loudly.

"Hey! That's offensive!" Vee shouted.

"Girls, settle down." Camila said.

"Tell her that!" Luz and Vee said as they pointed at the other.

"SETTLE. DOWN. Or else I will go Mama Titan on this entire house." Camila said as her eyes flashed with magic. "Understand?"

"Yes, mom." They both said, shaking in fear.

'She's got to teach me how to do that.' Amity and Masha thought.

"Good. Now how about we all have some lunch and maybe get together for a movie?" Camila asked.

"Really mom? Did you forget that there are 7 titans in this house now? Meaning that is going to cost A LOT of money?" Luz asked.

"Maybe you're forgetting how powerful the magic of seven titans is." Camila said.

To prove her point, Camila pulled out a plant glyph from her pocket.

'Oh right, mom has been on a "mostly" fruits and veggies diet since she became a Titan.' Luz and Vee thought.

Luz thought about the meat prices, split that between the seven of them... yeah that would be a lot of full grown cows they would have to eat a day if they ate meat.

"Can I just order a pizza? I've been having conflicting feelings about eating plants and vegetables since, you know." Tracey said, reminding them of her plant pet/child.

"Since you became a mother to a vine, yeah we get it." Masha said with a nod.

Tracey pulled out her phone.

"Just for that, I'm not sharing with you." Tracey said as Goose Willis walked up to her.

"Quack." Goose Willis let out.

"Of course you can have some, Goosey." Tracey said to her "other child."

Camila smirked, knowing a mother when she sees one.

"So cute." Camila said before heading to the backyard and pick from her "garden."

'Now. Let's see.' Camila thought, stopping before an empty garden patch laced with seeds.

Camila placed the plant glyph on the ground and focused on the fruits and vegetables she wanted to grow for lunch.

With a simple snap of her fingers, a garden of the exact fruits and veggies she needed grew before her eyes.

'No wonder Luz loved magic so much. Now, what to make for lunch? Maybe some vegetable stew and fruit salad.' Camila thought as she cracked her fingers, ready to harvest her giant fruits and vegetables.

"Do you need any help?" Willow asked, walking out from the woods from the cabin.

"Sure. I could use some more muscles to carry all these fruits and veggies." Camila said to Willow.

"Well, I don't mean to brag, but I'm probably the strongest of the group, when it comes to physical strength." Willow said, flexing some muscles.

"I think that's something we all know. Hunter especially since he ALWAYS wants to spot you." Camila said with a grin.

"Not always." Willow said, walking to the garden and grabbing a large carrot stem. "Also, ever since learning about this world, I truly want to end world hunger someday... but this would be very suspicious."

"Maybe if you pose as a scientist and call your magic a super growth serum." Camila said to Willow, grabbing a large tomato.

"Yeah, I doubt that would work." Willow said.

"You never know." Camila said, walking towards the house with the tomato.

"Sure." Willow said, rolling her eyes as she grabbed another large carrot.

They went back and forth to collect all of the fruits and vegetables before they got to the kitchen to work on the food.

Chopping veggies, mixing them up, and making the perfect sauce for the stew. As for the fruit salad, it took a giant mixing bowl just to hold one part of it.

The only downside of being a Titan, the amount of food needed is insane.

"My pizzas are on the way." Tracey said, putting away her phone.

"What did you order?" Masha asked.

"Not that you'll get any but two large supreme pizzas." Tracey said.

"For yourself?" Masha asked in surprise.

"YEP! For myself...and my little Goosie Goose." Tracey said as her palisman flapped into her arms.

"Quack." Goose Willis said.

"Okay, I have to say it! How is no one here fat?" Masha asked, gesturing to Luz and Amity. "Them, I get, they're Titans, but you're like me, Tracey. You're human and you shouldn't be able to eat that much and stay so skinny."

"I have a fast metabolism." Tracey said, shrugging.

"And if it helps, I just shapeshift to look thin." Vee said, patting her stomach.

Now that's just cheating." Tracey said, looking at Vee.

"Hey, beggers can't be choosers in how they're born." Vee said, holding her hands up.

"And she's perfect to me." Masha said, kissing Vee's cheek.

Tracey rolled her eyes.

"I'm going to wait for my pizzas." Tracey said, walking to the door.

"Vee, Luz! Can you come set the table?" Camila called out from the kitchen.

"On it mom!" They said.

Luz and Vee walked into the kitchen and set the table for 12 (Luz, Amity, Gus, Willow, Hunter, Tracey, Masha, Vee, Skara, Cat, King, and Camila.), which was very, VERY difficult since the table had a maximum limit of five.

"Luz, can you like... Titan magic the table?" Vee asked.

"Why can't you?" Luz asked her.

"You know why. Basilisks may eat magic but we can't use it like witches and bipedal demons." Vee said.

"Well, have you ever tried?" Luz asked.

"Well... no." Vee said, "But I haven't eaten magic for a while, so I don't have any."

"Uh huh, sounds like an excuse." Luz said.

"Luz, don't egg your sister on." Camila said.

"But it's so easy." Luz said.

"Mija." Camila said firmly as her eyes flashed gold.

"YES MA'AM!" Luz said with her hands up.

"Good." Camila said with a smile. "Now finish setting the table while Masha and Willow help me with the stew."

"Okay, mom." Luz said.

'I'm not going to argue with her.' Masha and Willow thought, knowing better than to make a Titan mother angry.

The dinner was calm and peaceful... things Luz has come to hate.

'I'm almost tempted to start a food fight just for some excitement.' Luz thought as she ate. 'If only something exciting would happen.'

DING-DONG.

"That must be my pizza." Tracey said as she got up.

'Not that, fate. You tease.' Luz thought.

Tracey pulled out her wallet and headed to the door.

'I'm getting a slice of that pizza.' Masha thought.

Tracey opened the door for the pizza guy, who was in the middle of taking the pizzas out of an insulated bag.

"Two large supremes?" He asked.

"That would be me." Tracey said, pulling out the money.

The pizza guy was paid and the pizzas were given to Tracey, letting her bring them back to the table for everyone to see.

"No, I'm not sharing." Tracey said to everyone.

"Quack." Goose Willis quacked.

"Except with you, Goosey." Tracey said to her palisman.

'Sweetie, try to sneak me a piece.' Masha thought to their bat palisman via an oracale pearl around her neck, glancing at the corner they placed him.

Silently, the bat palisman came off the staff and slowly crawled up to the walls and the ceiling over Tracey.

'Alright little buddy, you can do this.' Masha thought.

The bat palisman nodded as Tracey grabbed a slice and offered it to Goose Willis.

"Quack!" He said as he began eating the pizza.

The palisman flew down and it snatched a slice as Tracey looked up!

"HEY!" Tracey shouted as the bat palisman landed on Masha's shoulder. "Masha!"

"Hey, you should've shared." Masha said as they caught the slice of pizza. "Good boy."

"Grrrrr." Tracey growled at her lost slice. "You're lucky we're family."

"Love you too, cousin." Masha said with a cheeky grin.

'Lucky bitch.' Luz and some others thought as they now craved the pizza too.
