In the front of the Owl House, it was a rare moment where there was no clean up of the Isles, and Eda and Luz were making the most of it, putting their new abilities to the test.

"You're hair maybe black, but you're still old." Luz said.

Luz snapped her fingers, removing her human form and becoming her hybrid form, which had ultimately become her default form. She took her hat by the brim and bowed to Eda. Eda just smirked.

"Sure, I'm no spring chicken like you." Eda said as she raised her missing arm, "But I've got my own surprises."

A black arm formed in place of the missing one.

"And they say being corrupt is only for Politicians." Eda quipped.

Luz couldn't reply as her jaw dropped at what she just saw. Her mentor/second mother figure, just grew her arm back somehow! So many questions ran through her mind as she just watched Eda summon Owlbert to her new hand.

"You like it?" Eda asked, showing off her now hand. LI've been waiting a month to surprise you with this!"

"Wait, this happened during the fight with Belos!?" Luz asked.

"Yes, did I never tell you about that?" Eda asked, spinning Owlbert in her dark hand.

"NO!" Luz screamed as Stringbean came out from under her hat.

"I guess you know how I feel when you didn't tell me about drinking the Titan's blood." Eda said.

"I tried but everything got in the way!" Luz shouted.

"And I put this on your shoulder." Eda said, gesturing to her new hand.

"I was very distracted that day!" Luz said.

"I mean, it was right in front of you." Eda said.

"Eda, I am warning you! Do not make me mad!" Luz shouted, hating how Eda was egging this on.

"I'm just saying, as smart as you are, you're not very observant." Eda said with a shrug, grinning.

"THAT'S IT! STRINGBEAN!" Luz shouted as she held out her hand, allowing the purple palisman to transform into a staff!

"Well, guess we both know what is about to happen." Eda said.

Luz charged and so did Eda. Purple magic followed Luz, while black magic followed Eda. The teen Titan jumped into the air and drew a spell circle, firing a ball of flames at Eda!

Eda smiled as Owlbert began to glow black. She spun her staff and made a black circle. The fire turned black and crumbled to the ground. Eda then pointed her normal arm at Luz and made a black spell circle, blasting black fire at Luz, knocking her down.

"WHOOOOA!" Luz screamed before using Stringbean to fly in the air. "How did-"

"I do magic even when my curse took it away?" Eda asked with a head shake. "Oh, Luz, you see, the owl beast and I had a chat a while ago and now... I have a new form of magic. I call it "Corruption magic." Any spell thrown at me I can destroy, and I can make my own corrupted spells."

"So you not only have a harpy mode, you-"

"Are back to being the most Powerful Witch on the Boiling Isles." Eda said with pride, cutting off Luz.

Luz just scoffed/chuckled, shaking her head.

"You may be, but remember... you're just a witch... I'm a Titan." Luz said before taking a breath. "WEH!"

Eda tried to corrupt the Bi Blast, but she couldn't because this was a different type of magic than normal witch magic. She was forced to dodge.

"Weh! Weh Weh! Weh! Weh!" Luz kept screaming, firing more Bi Blasts as Eda dodged them all.

"No one likes a spammer!" Eda said before flying into the air with Owlbert.

"Spam is good for some!" Luz said as she held out her hand, creating an ice glyph.

Eda already had a spell circle made, ready to corrupt it.

'I hope this works!' Eda thought as giant fist of ice flew towards her!

Eda pushed her spell circle forward, blocking the spell as the wind was slowly blowing her back as the corruption was spreading up the fist. It made Eda smile as she firmed her feet and pushed it back as it fell apart before her.

"Thanks, Luz. Now I corrupt glyphs too!" Eda said, holding her hand out as a pitch black version of the ice glyph formed.

Only thing was, Luz wasn't there... she disappeared.

"What the-" Eda asked.

Luz reappeared a few inches in front of Eda and slapped her hands together, making a bright light that temporarily blind Eda.

"GAAAAH!" Eda screamed, stumbling back as her eyes were burning now!

"Surprise!" Luz said before pulling her fist back! "You taught me to play dirty, remember?!"

Luz punched Eda in the stomach, sending her flying into the tree line!

Eda landed with a thud and held her stomach with her corruption arm.

"Damn... I'd be proud if my ribs were broken." Eda groaned.

"Hoo." Owlbert hooted.

"Yeah, I know. Shut up, I love that kid too." Eda said to her palisman.

Eda got to her knee and was breathing heavily.

'Oh, King better not want to do this when he gets older.' Eda thought about her other child.

"Come on, Eda, I thought you were the most powerful elder in the Isles or something like that." Luz said with a smile, walking up to Eda.

"I'm 46!" Eda said, standing on her feet. "And I actually look like it now!"

"Not with those bony arms." Luz said with a chuckle.

"Bony? You calling me BONY?!" Eda shouted before transforming into Harpy mode, her hair still being black as her right hand gave off a strong black aura. "I'll show you bony, you little punk!"

Luz's eyes widened before she ran to the cliff.

'Okay, this might be dumb, but let's see if I have enough energy to do this.' Luz thought before she jumped off the cliff.

Right as Eda made it to the cliff edge, a large Titan rose up and stood over her.

"Who you calling little?" Luz asked, looking "smug" with her skull face.

"Oh come on! That is just cheating!" Eda shouted, pointing to Luz.

"I know, again you're my teacher." Luz said as she smiled, raising her hand. "Ready to give up?"

"Fine!" Eda said, raising her hands. "Fucking Titans, why do they gravitate to me?"

"Because you're gruff and lovable." Luz said, using her large finger to scratch Eda's head. "Oh yes you are."

"HEY! I am your mother figure, not your pet!" Eda said, pushing the large finger away.

Luz rolled her eyes and shrank back down to her normal hybrid form. She nearly fell over if Eda didn't catch her.

"You okay, Kid?" Eda asked as Hooty flew into her hair.

"Yeah, just... going full Titan can take a lot of energy out of me." Luz said, a bit tired.

"So you did a ballsy move, knowing it would weaken you, just to beat me?" Eda asked, transforming back to normal and putting Luz on her shoulder as she walked back to the owl house. "I hate to say it but you need to spend more time with Lily. Get some of my crazy out of your system."

"What? Never. If I did, I couldn't have made my little baby right here." Luz said as Stringbean floated to her neck, laying on her.

Eda rolled her eyes as she walked inside of the house. She then used her corruption arm to pick Luz up by her neck scruff, yes she has one of those now, and put her on the couch.

Stringbean moved and transformed into a fluffy puffball, becoming a pillow for Luz.

"Oh, that's nice. Thank you, Stringy." Luz stuttered, snuggling into the fluffiness.

"Hisssss." Stringbean hissed.

Eda just rolled her eyes again, leaning against the wall.

"So, Miss God, have you spoken to your girlfriend?" Eda asked.

Luz went stiff.

"Uh....I've been busy. We've all been busy." Luz said, turning away in her palisman. "You know? Rebuilding the Boiling Isles and stuff."

"Kid... do I look stupid?" Eda asked, unimpressed by the lie. "You can run from this all you want, but if you run long enough, you'll collapse before you reach the finish line."

"Eda, you don't know what you're talking about." Luz said, getting up from the couch. "I'm not running from anything."

Luz went over to the door and grabbed the handle.

"In fact, if Amity was on the other side of the door, I would take her on a date!" Luz said proudly.

She then opened the door to leave, only for Amity to be on the other side. Luz went pale as her heart beat suddenly tripled!

"Lu-" Luz immediately slammed the door shut.

"You never saw me!" Luz quickly said to Eda before rushing out the backdoor.

Eda sighed and groaned as Stringbean flew after her witch. The older witch reached into her hair and pulled out a scroll, calling a preset number.

"Hey, it's me. We got a runner." Eda said with a blank tone.
